- Today is day 3 of surviving on a homemade raft for 100 hours. In this episode we got a huge shipment of wood to build a tiny house on our mega raft. We also attempted more fishing with the need for food getting more and more pressing. After today we will have a home and a warm place to sleep outside of the elements. For fishing in cold water in winter, you should be using live bait, smaller hooks and letting it sit on the bottom for a while without reeling it in. It may take a couple hours, but you can almost garauntee a fish

Fishing is all about patience and using the right lures, it could take 2 hours before you even catch anything especially if you’re fishing off the bottom

As a contractor myself, I just want to say next time put the metal brackets longways across the seams of each raft, and when you install the posts, dont put them on the seams but yet in center of a raft square

If you guys go fishing for a challenge I recommend using live bait or some other type of bait instead of lures since lures take a fair bit of skill and knowledge to use.
