I was clowning on this game because of the wipe mechanic but after giving it a try and playing over 100h, the wipe mechanic makes a lot more sense. You keep a lot of the progression, which is mainly your blueprints and you can try a new build each scenario, similar to how POE is with seasons.
I accidentally burned myself out on this game from last season, I just can't be arsed to coordinate on events with the laggy servers. I had my fun though, and hopefully I can return for this new season with better tweaked mechanics.
@@Yor_gamma_ix_bae you want so desperately to hate the game, it's pathetic. Is it that hard to accept that some people can enjoy something you don't ?
@@its.araragi I enjoy the game. The only gripe I have is with the skins. I completely understand needing a skin shop to monetize the game in some way so they can make money, but the loot box system makes it to where the good skins cost like 200$. A shop system like League of Legends, or Call of Duty would be nice.
It's a rogue-like element. You are meant to hop to each new scenario on the same character because the starcrom, some resources, and blueprints carry over, plus you have X amount of a special currency when you go to a new scenario to spend on bringing certain things over (Like a pickaxe, mats, basic gear, deviations. Things you want to boost early game) so it becomes like a new game+ instead of regrinding from absolute scratch. The more you get unlocked on a scenario, the more future scenarios become easier when you hop. If you have leveled up blueprints, those are massive to have on a new scenario. You can craft Tier 1 sets of all the good blueprints you have and scale it up as you level. Much smoother progression than having nothing off the rip.
Man I love this game but I hate the devs ignoring the bugs and desync issues especially with pvp and prime wars. I hope they could focus on fixing those instead of prioritizing cosmetics.
I just wanted to let Asmon know I was thinking about him when my son was complaining about first grade. I imagined Asmon telling him "you're just in the tutorial right now, your ass needs to level up".
I'm having fun playing this game rn, but as someone with limited time to play, I'm hesitant to invest a lot of time in it because of the season/reset. I know you retain currencies, blueprints, and other things on the reset, but knowing that I will just repeat all the leveling up and resource farm/loot just to get to the point where I can build my weapon and armor blueprints again makes me think it's gonna be repetitive and tiring.
The limited starchrom & controllers in the end is a let down in this game. You think in the beginning: wow this is awesome until you know the limitations.
I am in my second server now (level 50, PVE2x). To answer everyone’s questions: The reset may feel tedious but it does make sense. Developers had the idea for newer players being able to interact and work/play together with veteran players. The map is not fully released until the 2nd phase. The pro boss is not released until the 3rd phase. You should be able to solo the first 4 bosses on solo, normal, mode if you can learn its mechanics. Yes, you keep the housing formulas, blueprints, and currency. Additionally, all the items and deviations you obtained go to eternal land which you are given a certain amount of points to transfer over to help you in the new season. However, the tier list on weapons and gear is restricted on level- as you saw in the video the crossbow doing more damage than someone’s shock damage build. So, even if you can carry over insane builds, you’re not entirely overpowering new players~just a slight advantage early on and a massive advantage in late phases.
They have added a few things in the memetics like animal taming and even breeding. Tamed animals have different ratings; “S” being the highest that I’ve obtained. As you can tell in the video (if you’ve been watching Asmongold’s once human gameplay) the animals in the wild are different colored now so you can breed those animals to get different colored variations. A lot of veteran players right now enjoy hunting shiny or 5/5 deviants and collecting mods to further enhance their stats. There’s actually a lot of riddles in the game. I mean, a lot. While playing, you may possibly hear a telephone go off in a hospital or encounter an NPC on your travels that asks you to solve a riddle- rewarding you an attachment for a weapon or deviant. When asked, I compare this game sort of to Rust, The Division, Sims, and DayZ mixed.
To sort of go over some of the complaints, The lag is bad. The game feels slow in between phases. I understand completely why people stop playing for a few days and then come back when the next phase starts. I actually enjoy the loot bins. Everyone has different housing furniture set ups and there’s a bit of uniqueness with what you get. Your friends can also share what they get with you. The shop costs way too much.
Lastly, I watched the video to see what the PVP was all about. A little disappointed you only got 1 rubber though 😂 If PVP was more rewarding, I think it would push more players to try it out. May even keep players online to have something to do inbetween each phase. The game should just have a dark zone (the division) or wild area (RuneScape) to give players a place to go PVP… then again, the game is new and we’ll just have to see where it goes. Thanks for reading if you made it this far

Dude. Naming rules in online games it’s just stupid at this point. Give us last names and be done with it. I’m so tired of spending so much time trying to come up with a random generated name that somehow hasn’t been taken.
I feel the pain when you run out of handles.
ONE RUBBER FOR KILLING A PVP PLAYER? yeah this game is going to DIE FAST
I like the game, i just dont understand what to do. Like is there missions, raids etc. Stuff like that or is it you're just in an open world hoping you find loot with random bosses and hard dudes everywhere 😂
