It is great to see Lady barking at the drone! I am so glad that we had good drone shots of Rudy's recovery!
Not sure why it's "great" to see the dog barking at the drone, but I did notice that teasing the dog with the drone caused the dog to run behind a reversing vehicle.
"We've got a shirt for ya" Then Lady shows up with a mangled drone. "Here, take this too. I hate it"
I know. As a border collie I was sure she was computing the speed angle and height required to launch off the banana's hood and get that drone.

"My insurance covers her, but not you." Ahh... that makes sense. I often wondered why your staff often drove out in vehicles they may not be familiar with when the owner seems perfectly capable. I am sure it also reduces the number of times your rope is run over, but I hadn't even thought about insurance.
Yep, and he's mentioned his agent likes the channel.
My thoughts on that....the owner got it stuck. Why trust them not to rear end the tow vehicle, run over the rope and damage the front driveline, turns the wheels wrong and get stuck even worse. Hes a trained tow driver, his staff is used to do what he says. Ive pulled many people out and when the driver in the other vehicle doesnt listen to what you tell them and thinks they know what to do is actually worse. Best to let a tow driver in training get behind the wheel instead of the possibly arrogant driver that got it stuck to begin with....i said possibly.
@@swampthingzr2ify Bit over dramatic. I'd have thought it was simply more about communication. People you work with know what you mean when you give instructions which means it's basically quicker.
Sure there is a risk another driver might do something stupid, but usually you can get a sense of the person based on their attitude when talking to them.
I expect that is part of why Matt is so mellow. He doesn't want to antagonise a person who may be frustrated from sitting with their car for a long period of time who is knackered from trying to get their car out.
Some of the older people there may simply not have the strength to turn a wheel if the engine is not running.

It never fails to amaze me how many people go out and wheel all by themselves. I can't even begin count the number of times we have come across someone stuck out in the middle of nowhere without the simple things like a strap and a shovel.
Help is just a phone call away in their minds. it's a dangerous way to think.

Yep, could have driven out no problem since he was pointed downhill !! Keep your momentum and do not stop on an incline in the sand. Plus airing down the tires ofcourse. Knowledge goes a lot further than horsepower.. I think Matt's channel has proven that!
Every single person that is part of Matt's recovery team are very nice and likeable people.
Probably because Matt sets the standard. Not saying that to take anything away from the others though!
They can just do a retake when they are not being likeable...

Love Mr Ed's wind hat! That Ford Raptor definitely wasn't stuck. It could've easily been drove out but the owner definitely did the right thing not wanting to chance tearing up such a amazing truck! Ford Raptor is definitely what dreams are made of!

The reason I'm so safety conscious - Close to Dead Twice Due To Other People's Lack Of Safety. Internal Bleeding from a Kidney due to a psycho friend throwing a rock at me, and Carbon Monoxide Poisoning from a unmaintained furnace. Another time was my fault - dropped my 900 Kawasaki at 110 mph.

My dog hates my drone too. I have to put him in the house (or car) when I fly it or he chases it and barks all the time.
I just subscribe a while back to the channel since this seems like a good content since I 1st saw a video. It's like being invited to someone's family event where you don't know everyone but one person and you're trying to figure out who's whom in the family. few videos back I thought Rudy is just a welder who occasionally join recovery, it turns out he's Matt's son. Lol
It was funny to see Lizzy not firing on all cylinders in the morning. Nice to see everyone coming together as a crew/crews in this video. I just hope that those yellow ropes don't get all sold out before I can save up to buy one!

As someone who lives in the desert I can vouch that it gets pretty darn cold. Definitely not arctic cold, but negative temps aren’t uncommon.

I'm thinking Ed has no meat on his bones plus he's 82 or so plus it's been over a hundred F for months. Takes me a month or two to get my winter skin and the same for the summer in N Utah.

Ok things ive learned from Matt for blow sand. 1. Air down. Probably around 20 to 15 psi.
2. Carry a air compressor to air up.
3. Mud tires.
4. Always carry a credit card and matts phone number.
Wetzel keeps his tires at less than 10 psi unless there is no trailer available for a long trip on the highway.

@@Fix_It_Again_Tony There's a big difference in terms of reliability, quality, and function. I've owned and 4wd both. The stock suspension set up on an Xterra and 4Runner are independent front and solid axle rear. The only difference being that Xterras have leaf springs in the rear of 4Runners coil springs. The modifications on the Xterra in this video are lift, tires, and armor--nothing special.

I have not drove one, but by all accountants the Raptor is less capable then the marketing, styling would suggest. Have heard many accounts of these trucks having trouble in seemingly easy situations. Also at 5690-ish pounds not exactly floating on those tires.
