Got mine yesterday. I will be selling all my distortion pedals tomorrow! Finally a pedal that actually works with bright,or dark amps! You totally nailed it, it's the best pedal I have ever tried!
Saw him live multiple times, he sucked. Not sure what happened, but he was sloppy and just sounded bad, not fluid like he used to be. Maybe the weight lifting messed with him, but that doesn’t seem to affect people like Petrucci.
So true, pedal game is a million dollar industry , GRIFT...lots of ego maniac guitar players, there are literally a million bedroom players more enjoyable to listen to than GLynch...nice man seems to be anyway, nothing personel
Because they can't survive selling their flagships amps. The majority of people are using this kind of stuff. It's all business. They need to sell you something. Marshall makes money from bluetooth speakers, not JCM 800s. Same with Soldano.
I wonder how soon these are going to start showing up on the used market. They're $229.99 on Sweetwater and that's not that bad of a price. I'd love to try one but will wait for now.
@@jng1226 To me they sound about as similar as they can. If you need an amp, but Mini is nice, if you have a clean amp, the pedal works. Depends on the situation. I have both for possibly doing a stereo guitar rig. The price difference is $20. The speaker makes more difference than the pedal vs amp.
@@bertagriese8282 Thats what I use to capture the SLO, do you have a problem understanding for some God forsaken reason? Or are you just a small dicked asshole?
I have 3 pedals in a Boss MS-3, that sounds like amplifier preamps. Wampler SLOtortion, Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret, and a Bogner Red Ecstacy. That rig sounds really good like my EVH 5150III EL34 50 watt and Mesa Nomad100 amps. This SLO overdrive pedal sounds killer. Cool to see this available. There are amp in a box pedals.
That's what I'm wondering too. I have a Bogner Blue Ecstasy pedal (original version) and it and the Bogner mini-head sound a lot alike. I wonder if it's like that with this pedal?
SOLDANO, Why didn't you add in the DEPTH control? as well as different GAIN ratios to get different soldano overdrive tonalities. It would be also real nice to have another second foot switch to change amplifier channels and have the eric clapton mid boost circuit built in the pedal to turn it off and on to get those 80's clapton tones. Try to make a newer version asap
For any who build circuits and pedals, who wants to guess what is going inside this box ? Some revolutionary new electronic component or circuit nobody has ever thought of before ? Must be 😗Although if it sounds good in front of the clean channel of a Peavey 6505+ 112 combo I would be impressed as everything I have ever built (dozens of classic replica circuits) sounds crap into the front of that amp lol.
Apparently not! Just went to the SOLDANO website and Downloaded the PRODUCT MANUAL, it say's NOTHING about the ability to be powered by a 9 Volt Battery. Here's the info provided: Power: To avoid damage to the pedal, DO NOT EXCEED 9V DC, do not use center pin positive adapters, and do not use AC power. Use only a 9V DC power source that is intended for guitar pedals. This pedal draws approximately 32mA at 9V.
If it has the singing harmonic / overtone thing real SLOS have then it might end up having a place with me. If it kinda gets the sound but not really, then I can still rely on emulations and not by this. Off to look at demos \M/ ps: Eventually I'm planning on grabbing the 30w version of the amp. It sounds even more awesome than the big version, which is surprising. Most lower wattage amps can't keep a tight low end or a sharp top end. But that 30 does.
Everything sounds good on UA-cam, but in real life, I doubt any solid state pedal will ever get the real feel and tone of a tube amp... they might come close, like those digital modding things, but close is simply not close enough....
This is the same guy that praised the SLO mini amp, which imo sounded horrible and I sent it back the same day. So...how much was Lynch paid to say this pedal was also "great". Get the REVV G4 for that price, or even less used. It offers more tones and features, its a great pedal.
Sounds good..but did he run it in front of a Soldano head?...if so any string instrument would sound killer...my opinion..theres is no one box ...old tube amp...if needed some mods ....simple is always better
Ever notice how everyone tries to sell you a guitar pedal by having a really good guitar player doing the demo???? Let's see what pedals do for those of us who practice for years and still SUCK!!!!
I've been playing for years but I'm finally starting to get a lot better! Don't give up. My best pieces of advice are to listen to different types of music especially music with string melodies and rhythms, work on playing the pentatonic and at least 1 or 2 other modes up and down the neck, and don't try to play like someone else, be yourself.
Nice pedal, ok. But dont lie, what is physically impossible is modafuk@ physically impossible. If I'm wrong sell me a original valve SLO for the price of this pedal.
Soldano acts like this is some kinda major break thru. This is nothing new. The HYPE that SOLDANO IS PAYING FOR tells you all that you need to know about this pedal. Overhyped product.
This pedal is just one of the worst idea of the century. We are tired of hearing the word "Amp in a box". A bunch of wires and circuits can't be able to reproduce the sound of a glorious 100 watts tube amp. It's just a way to fool customers. Probably it's a good sounding pedal but please stop from thinking that we believe at the story of the amp in a box. It's garbage. Soldano is trying to ruin its great reputation and we, as guitar players, are not stupid. A pedal is a pedal not an amp! WTF!
@@matteomidas638 unfortunately, no, I’m not kidding you. As a guitar player myself, I can tell you first hand, I’ve done many stupid things, (including some really stupid gear purchases).
