finally, how long I have been waiting for this tool in blender! but I didn't find it for sale on your gumroad... and blenkermarket. If you are planning to sell this, I will be one of the first buyers. Especially if you create an account on the blendermarket. I am sure this tool will be useful to a huge number of people.
Shouldn't be too hard to use Sample Nearest in Face mode to get the index of the face closest to the empty's location so you don't have to set it manually. Johnny was working on a "group faces by a criteria" node, iirc. When that comes we could even group them by, say, 90 deg angle, so we get the whole area even if the top surface of the table is split into multiple faces.

I propose to use a line curve with 2 empties. It will be much easier to snap empties to the corners of a model.

Johnny with a complex model it becomes difficult to assign measures with the indexes.
