Brady is 100% right, he always made a point to keep his receivers out of danger. He also told his receivers to sacrifice YAC to keep themselves healthy
@TheFutureofthePlanet Exactly, he may have tried at times but not just those 2, Amendola and Brown took a beating in the slot too. Also the play Gronk got his knee blown out was crazy. TJ Ward could have hit him high or low either way hey was fucked Brady just hung him out there.
I agree with Aaron and Tom on both their points. The NFL needs to find a good balance between offensive and defensive protection without hurting the game.
Just like the NBA. Every damn 2 minutes there’s a foul, you breath on someone it’s a foul, you say something to the ref you’re ejected. The refs aren’t being held accountable for bad calls in both nfl and nba and it makes the situation much worse.
Facts man… they need to find a middle ground in all these sports! Like the NBA, NHL, NFL of the 80s:90s/2000s they more or so just “let them play” and than we got to this point where they slowly tightened up but it’s tightening up so much in all the sports it’s making it a crappy un watchable flag/penalty happy type product and that’s NO good! They need a middle ground.
It was worse last year than it was this year. I think they looked a little better this year. I like offense but if it keeps ramping up that might be the braking point for me and I hope it doesn't get to that because this is the deepest the NBA has been in its history and I don't want the league to spoil that
People get on the refs for making these decisions but they only do what they’re told. Blame the people telling the refs what to do Adam Silver and Roger Goodell.
You are correct sir. There are like 3 good QBs in the game today. Purdy, Hurts, and Burrow. There are next to no stars left. Everyone is mediocre. The 49ers have about the best and most charismatic players in numbers.
It’s ironic the qb’s (rodgers/Brady) who were always bitching to the refs asking for penalty flags are now saying the sport is too soft. It was because of YOU. It’s like fuggin Michael Jordan saying the nba has too many superstar calls
@@dennish3664too many calls and not enough calls are not the only two ways it can be. There should be no special protection for QBs if they are outside the pocket. Sick of seeing them pretending to run of bounds then kept going for 5-10 yards.
yea non-contact ones will always happen but i think the point of regulation instead of individual protection has had a been impact on why people still get hurt
Ironically, the roughing the passer rules started changing in 2008 after Brady got injured in the first play of the season. But he's right. It's impossible to play defense these days
Yeah especially late I'm his career I hate when people say the rules now protected him but brady always protected himself when he knew he was going to get sacked.
@@kinglightning5256 People are dumb. Understand that first and then move on from there. Brady played against HOF QBs at the highest level who were retired from injuries like Warner and Manning. Brady could take a hit and fall correctly to avoid injury.
I think the rule changes have affected the game so much that you have to have a great QB or you can’t win. You used to be able to win games with a run game and Defense.
100% agree, and the same thing goes for the NBA, it is UNBEARABLE to watch a majority of the time as bad offense and decision making is bailed out by whistles. I can’t imagine how defensive players are supposed to perform in the NFL & NBA
Oh yea the NBA is definitely worse about this. You can't even graze someone's arm without getting a foul call or a tech but the players contribute(kyle lowry, Marcus smart...etc) to this nonsense with all the flopping. They have a rule now for flopping but it needs to be harsher.
@@ThaBootyBandit I have to bring this up whenever someone talks about the NBA and foul calling. The NBA is averaging about 10 LESS fouls per game than they did the 80's and 90's, on FAR, FAR more attempts. The reality is players have to work harder to get foul calls, and as a result they look like they are flopping. There are problems with the NBA, for certain, but it has little to do with shooting fouls.
Roughing the passer and pass interference are ruining the game. So many times QBs get out of the pocket and break tackles because the guys are just terrified to hit them. And Pass interference is just lame most of the time. I also want them to do something about offensive players bracing for impact by lowering their helmet. It’s too easy to draw a flag for helmet to helmet collision.
I completely disagree. The drop off from the top QBs is ridiculous. Nobody wants to watch Browning, they want JB. The Browns just went from contender to I'm not sure if they break 20 the rest of the year. QBs make the NFL what it is. The NFL is king in America, the Super Bowl is one of the most watched events in the world every year, yet people still can't understand why the QB gets protected.
Anyone else remember how Marvin Harrison would just go down after catching a pass instead of fighting for YAC? Marvin was smart. His ability to avoid those big hits and protect himself definitely played a role in him being an all-time wideout (it allowed him to stay injury free and play for a long time)

One of the biggest problems in the league is QBs not being treated like RBs when outside of the pocket. It's bull to have a QB pretend to slide just to take off 15 yards downfield.
Yes! Watching the Eagles letting off the gas and not tackle Mahomes is frustrating! He just pretends to run out of bound and kept going for another 5-10 yards.

What led to the NFL becoming diluted: - taking away 2/days from teams - created rule changes after losing a $580M settlement to the retired players - Vegas - bad coaching/front office - Bad officiating - Politics And the most important one: Trying to police violence in football to maintain their bottom line
I'd like to make one last point. I'm not buying Comcast for access. Then buying prime for Thursday night football. Then UA-cam TV for access. Why have a NFL channel if you're not willing to show at least one live game.
The Steelers defense changed the NFL rules twice! That’s how great my Steelers are! This last anti-defensive rule I must give co-credit to my rivals (Ravens). What was the first? The Mel Blount Rule. Mel mastered the original rules and checked WRs better than any player in NFL history. He became the greatest cornerback of all time (the only CB so good that rules had to be changed) Change 2: Steelers and Ravens placed fear in teams until the league saw how Steelers and Ravens won 3 Superbowls in 10 years.
The rules are only going to become more restrictive as time goes on, the real reason for this is to help protect the NFL in any current/future litigation.

@@undercoverat I would totally disagree. Guys & coaches are constantly perfecting their craft. They've reduced full pad practices to avoid hitting as much for injuries and "player safety" (hits to the head, concussions)

He would kill as a coach. Imagine Brady a a college coach with his boys Gronk and Edelman as some of his assistants ! That would be hilarious and wild !
When I was young, I started watching football because of guys like Dick Butkus and Ben Davidson delivering those ferocious hits. I realize the need for safety measures. I don’t want to see great athletes get hurt. However, you have to let them be physical and play the game. After all, it is a contact sport.
At some point, players will feel so protected by the rules and disregard lessons and habits for protecting themselves it will result in more sever injuries more often. Tom and Aaron are spot on.
One of the themes I've seen are quarterbacks using the sideline and fighting for the extra yards and 1st down. You see defenders in what looks like they are being careful not to hit or give a light push to avoid a call, meanwhile the QB is able to fight for that 1st down and defenders are unable to stop that due to penalties and fines.
same with the late slides. supposed to be "slide to protect yourself", but now they push it to the 1st down marker and then slide right as the contact comes. They are short but get it anyway because they wait until the tackle is already in motion. Nah they deserve to be paid in full for doing that shiz.
Such a good point. This happened last night on the chiefs last drive against the packers. Patrick was still in bounds and took a clean hit on the sideline right next to the first down marker but they threw a penalty. Rules analysis said it shouldn’t have been a penalty but that doesn’t change the fact it got called and could’ve had a big impact on the game
All the Roughing the passer calls and many of the Pass interference calls are worse than they have ever been. And all the Signalling or Calling for flags to be thrown is becoming like 'diving' is in Soccer. It's about time that the NFL introduced professional REFS.
the Suh "stepped on" reference by McAfee was gold, Rodgers intentionally overlooked that 🤣And I will forever think "Donkey Kong Suh" whenever his name comes up thanks to Cam Newton lmao
I hate Aaron as a Bears fan but he came up the Right Way, the Old Way (3+ years in college and 3+ seasons benched behind Brett Favre to learn and then 10+ seasons after that to develop and peak)... Teams and fans don't have that kind of patience and endurance anymore 😅
Everyone has to do 3 years of college by rule. It's also easier to have patience when you have a Hofer and top 10 (certainly then) qb playing CJ Stroud was welcome right away because case keeneum ain't Favre. The old way was more like a red shirt year essentially
I mean, sitting for one season I understand but the value of a 1st round pick at the most important position in the league isn't feasible anymore. intentionally getting literally no production for 3 seasons straight out of a 1st rounder is just asking for organizational failure, particularly because you're taking the best possible superbowl window (qb on a rookie deal) and tossing it out the window.
I have thought for about the last ten years now that the NFL was slowly evolving with all these rule changes in a way where it's going to end up being flag football with all the regulation. I appreciate Tom saying that and Aaron as well, because I do think that it is true with how its progressing, especially in the last several years. There needs to be a middle ground like Aaron said, otherwise it will absolutely be flag football in another 15 years. Nobody wants to watch that.
Honestly, this is just another step in the "back in my day" ladder to nowhere. 10-20 years ago, older players were saying the same thing about the group of people complaining today. Same 30 years ago, 40, and so on as long as the game has been a legitimate sport. It's true that QBs should play smarter to limit exposure of their receivers but it's even more true that the fundamentals of football need to be defined and enforced. The fact is, players out there today are bigger, stronger, and faster than ever before. You can't expect the pre-2000 game to exist the today with those factors. Every sport evolves and football isn't an exception.
As a fan, I would get hyped up when the game starts at the kickoff. I loved watching kicks being returned. The kickoff being moved to the 35 yard line increased touchbacks. Its such a game downer.
I mean, sure, but do you expect him not to take advantage of the conditions at hand? His ultimate goal was to win above all else, just like any great competitor.
Same with Aaron Roger's. He is the biggest reason why the nfl started getting soft. He got smoked by Anthony barr abs since then everything changed. Yet here he is saying that the nfl is soft.
Blame the league sucking off Manning. The Pats owned Peyton in the playoffs and then the league changed the rules to protect him and the receivers who were getting demolished.
@geordiejones5618 it's specifically Colt's President (at the time) Bill Polian that whined about the Pats in 2003 and got that rule implemented the very next year. That organization sucks.
I think the real reason is that they don't get so many practices in anymore. On offence you really need those reps. Less on defence imo although you obviously still want those aswell.
I think that’s why tackling seems like it’s so bad, if the only time you’re ever trying to hit a moving, scrambling target and overpower him to the ground is in a game, you probably aren’t going to be great at it.
100% agree. I also believe this has led to less fandom we as fans had with teams. Growing up, I was a die hard 49ers fan. Loved watching the games and I was intense and invested as a fan. As the league gets watered down and soft, I’ve lost that same fandom. Sure I still root for the 49ers but honestly no longer have emotion attached to wins and losses and could really care less about attending live games. The product on the field is just not engaging nor entertaining
Yeah, you don't love football. I couldn't fathom not having football or my podcast. It's a community of die-hard fans that know football is excellent. I agree with all of what Tom said, though
I feel you. Part of what makes football such a great sport is the physicality. but now that physicality is illegal. Football changed in a big way in a very short period of time. And it's a less exiciting product as a result.
I always respected Rodgers as the incredible player he is but never liked him (which I’m sure he lost sleep over lol) because I thought he was arrogant and it didn’t help that I was a Lions fan, but he’s grown on me a lot. Seems like a genuine dude

He’s right. I had a conversation last month with someone and we both realize that we just don’t care as much about football as we used to. The rivalries aren’t as competitive because you can’t see them physically acted out. Everyone is friendly and gets along, and it just looks like a business meeting on the field. The tribal nature has been ripped out and it’s been replaced with flag football.

Brady’s comments outline why head injury rates and injury time from concussions have gone UP despite the myriad of rules put in place since CTE data has become available. It’s not because everyone got insanely faster and stronger over the past 15 years (lol), it’s because the rules put in place to protect players are being used to take advantage of the situation and putting those same players at risk. The concussion rates aren’t going up because the terminator is out there murdering people, Sherlock; it’s because if you threw the ball to Irvin over the middle with Ronnie lurking 5 yards deep then Irvin was about to get murdered, and kick your ass in the locker room. I’ve been saying this for a while. It seems like a QB can slide late and get a penalty or can under throw about anywhere down field and if the receiver comes back it’s a pass interference almost every time. I’m not near the fan of the NFL I used to be because of the amount of penalties and when they call them now.
Thank god someone finally said it. I’ve felt that way for the past 5 years now. I don’t even watch football like I used to because it’s so predictable and problematic. The fouls that decide games when they are borderline is what really pisses me off. The coaching as well. No one tackles anymore. They all go for the strip and it cost them 10+ yards when they miss it. The babying of QBs as well and QB taking advantage of it. The NFL is rigged and we all know it. Why is the NFL partnering with big gambling money? Why did they allow an NFL team to love to Vegas? It’s because the NFL like our government has been compromised by big business
The game is absolutely rigged and always has been. That's why "New York" decides crucial challenges in games (and takes like 10 minutes to do so). That's why you can have a game where the refs "let them play" all game, then call a game-deciding penalty in crunch time. That's why you see those "bad beats" all the time, where a team scores a meaningless td or fg late in the game to go over or cover the spread (fumble recovery td by the team with the late lead with seconds left is a common culprit).
The NFL as an organization is not rigged. It makes no sense for any professional sporting organization to commit fraud by rigging outcomes at an institutional level. That said, are there refs that are poorly trained, poorly paid (only part time), and have a motive to fix games, yes. There is a simple fix to questionable reffing, full time officials with an annual salary and mandatory off season training. The NFL as an organization is not rigged. It would require too many people in the know to pull off rigging at an institutional level, and it would leak out easily.
lol it’s not rigged. Sure some refs try to change the outcome but it’s not by league design lmao. If you ever played sports you know that anything can happen
@@vknight7497as far as the players and coaches, no, but you can’t tell me that some of these refs aren’t out there making questionable calls during big moments in the game. I agree with Tom 100% here. They are pacifying the game badly especially with the hitting the QB penalties. Basically it's now flag football with QB's and that's sad. That's why mahomes gets gifted wins. Can't even look at him without being flagged. Defenders can't defend either. That's why high pass yards are so overrated
Actually Mahomes is statistically one of the least protected by roughing the passer flags. Josh Allen is by far the most benefited from such penatlies in past 10 years.
@@renoraines6322 the end result is what matters. Sure the eagles won. But that's to make you doubt the chiefs. In the end. The NFLs golden boy will end up with another ring. That's how they sell him.
Generally, I agree. Big hits being big hits is part of the game. However, I've noticed it seems like the number of late hits, or intentional should-to-helmet hit attempts have increased. Especially when defenses start to get frustrated.
From what I'm seeing, many defensive players seem to have missed out on learning how to tackle, particularly in the open field. I was taught to always keep your eyes on the player's waist....belt buckle level and target that area with the shoulder. Trying to tackle with arms simply results breaks most of the time as backs and receivers are big, fast and strong. Fix this!
One thing I will say is that tackling is being taught differently now. When I was a kid (2010ish) we were taught to tackle shoulder to thigh with our head across the body. In highschool we were told that “new studies” showed this was in fact dangerous, and we were told to tackle with our head behind the body and to “gator roll”. This led to less concussions but more broken tackles and more missed tackles
He aint lying about young players not getting developed. Not only do we expect some cats that were just in college the year before to have the poise, accuracy, and experience of a 10 year vet, but we will throw them in the trash if they take longer than a year to figure it out. I'm looking specifically at Washington. Terry McLarin is a beast, but they never developed in him a way to get open/break the bracketing on him. Chase Young (coming back from an major injury too) was given no time to refine his form, and no visible coaching on how to get better. Then because he was not the absolute best D Lineman that ever played the game, Washington threw him away for a 3rd round pick...
I heard that Young wanted out of Washington since the beginning of the year. That's the real reason he was out with a "stinger." He was looking for a way out. Could just be a rumor though. Now, in part for the reasons you mentioned, he's somewhat justified in wanting out. Can't blame him. That said, I can also understand "throwing him out" if they knew he wasn't going to come back anyways. Went to a great team in return so it works out either way. Otherwise I agree with you. I also, however, feel like the severe lack for veterans on teams has a big part in limiting development too though. Like Young looked much better when Kerrigan was playing with him, then they throw out Kerrigan, Young has an off year, gets injured... comes back, Kerrigan's then coaching him, and Young starts looking significantly better again.
@@TurtletheShell yeah. Maybe he asked to get traded. I feel like Pat McAfee would have reported on something like that, though. He has really good sources. You would figure Del Rio and Rivera could have coached him up some. I think they both won Superbowls as players. Oh well.
This all comes down to The NFL as a whole and the fear of being sued over protecting players from major long-term injuries ( CTE ) and protecting their money makers ( faces of the NFL ) . I also think betting on games is a reason too; but that is a whole other topic I don't feel like getting into .
There's also the fact that parental concerns over the safety of the sport has resulted in a steady decline in youth football participation over the years. The NFL's emphasis on safety is also a big push to convince parents that they're mitigating the dangers of the game.
There’s no way a reasonable person would argue Brady’s opinion. I moved to Indy in the late 90s and realize how spoiled we were. Peyton and then Luck. Now a backup quarterback. Luck wasn’t the same level as manning but it was fun to watch him shoot himself in the foot and often excel his way out of it. No panic or fear in the pocket. But it does seem over regulated. I’m not sure but seems like the nfl is trending toward altering the outcome of a game too late for teams to overcome. Part of the process I suppose
The hockey journalists in canada started crying about hitting and fighting around 2002. They were nerd loser types that never were in a fight in their life. They felt like they had to protect grown men. Bob McCown, John Shannon, and Steve Simmons etc were the prominent ones. They helped destroy the game.
Bro 3 enforcers died within 4 months in 2011 from overdoses, suicide, etc. All were fairly young. Studies on their brains showed they had CTE and Boogard was only 27. The league had to start implementing some changes in the face of that PR and honestly the leagues been in a better place for it in terms of talent on the ice.
I agree with the rules preventing shots to the head but otherwise the rules have really handicapped defensive players. But instead of going back and changing things for the better, Roger Goodell is likely gonna look at the QB injuries and less scoring this year and get with the rules committee to make things even safer for the QBs and get scoring up again.
I feel like another aspect of the whole intent thing that nobody seems to talk about is yes, there is intent to try and knock the ball out of the receivers hands as he's catching it to cause and incompletion, or to try and cause a fumble. It's not necessarily about trying to hurt the guy, but if you can knock the ball out with a big hit then you go for it. I feel like that is never spoken about when these penalties are called & being reviewed.
I totally agree with AAron and Brady. I am so thankful I got to watch the 80s,90s,and start of the century until about 04. I loved the Hockey fights too, AAron
And it's cause there's no great QBs anymore. It's legit the worst QB era ever. Surprisingly the one prior was the greatest QB era of all time with Manning, Brady, big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, Kurt Warner, Brett favre and many others. I'm genuinely disgusted by the atrocious QB play I'm watching on TV every Sunday. It's never been this bad. 😅
I DON'T disagree with Brady/Rodgers, but his knee injury is what was, in my opinion, was the beginning of the turning point to where we are today (Not blaming Brady the person). But I remember getting frustrated watching games where he was overly protected, and now it's the rest of the offensive players in the league. It is seemingly part of a strategy to get a roughing passer or targeting rather than drawing a play to make a catch or run for a 1st down.
Attaching football helmet to the shoulder pads & shoulder pads strapped across the torso could: ¹) Reduce the centrifugal-force experienced to the head from any direction on the football field. ²) Might lessen speed of brain before hitting inside skull.
As to the quality of coaching and lack of player development, I believe this is an instance of the league suffering from its own success. The exposure of the game, the huge money that has came into the NFL over the last 2 decades has made a win-now culture so pervasive few owners are willing to put their faith in a coaching staff. Coaches that have their jobs on the line throw caution to the wind and toss undeveloped players into games for the sake of saving their own career. Especially at the quarterback position.
Aaron is right about paying the refs. These guys should be getting multi million dollar deals with how critical they are for the game. It's not like the NFL can't afford it either.
ive been saying it for a while. offenses arent really getting better, defenses are getting worse because they have to constantly change how they approach the game.
I worked for one of the team doctors for the Arizona Cardinals about 6 years ago. The philosophy changed from training the guys for maximum explosive power to training them to not get hurt. The idea was the extra 1% of performance wasn’t worth the risks. The player was viewed as an investment asset that needed to be protected. A very ridiculous way to water down your team.
The NFL is all about gambling. The “ game “ is just part of the gambling scheme. The game is not really for football purists. The game is for gamblers. I’m not a gambler, therefore, it’s not my thing anymore. It’s a business.
I absolutely love Brady. However, it is RICH hearing the guy who had a rule made for him to protect the quarterback talk about how the rules have made the game softer.
The rules that were made in the early 2000s were made because peyton manning was getting destroyed by the dominant patriots d, so they bent the rules so that he would have a chance against them
The NFL regressed schematically when the spread type offenses took over and especially with that devaluing of the run game and most specifically w the extinction of the fullback. The best tackler on the other side once had to deal w the best, badass blocker and get canceled out, theoretically. Not only that the fullback was the best blocker against the pass rush. I think an old school coach could come into the NFL and dominate and the irony of running an old scheme would be awesome. The nfl being a copycat league is sometimes it’s great detriment…
The biggest issue outside of the what tom and Aaron said is the CBA and restrictive practices the cut back in practice time is really impacting OL play acoross the board which fundamentally changes the game and is a key reason why defenses have any success with every rule going againts tgem

Just like the NBA. Every damn 2 minutes there’s a foul, you breath on someone it’s a foul, you say something to the ref you’re ejected. The refs aren’t being held accountable for bad calls in both nfl and nba and it makes the situation much worse.
I agree with that. The NBA doesn’t want teams playing defense.
Flopping makes the reputation look worse.

@@ThaBootyBandit I have to bring this up whenever someone talks about the NBA and foul calling. The NBA is averaging about 10 LESS fouls per game than they did the 80's and 90's, on FAR, FAR more attempts. There are problems with the NBA, for certain, but it has little to do with shooting fouls.
Roughing the passer call is the number #1 call that’s hurting the NFL in my opinion.
Big time man. The fact that its so blatantly called different depending on who the Qb is issue as well
I dont disagree but id say pass interference seems to decide games more than it should.
You also see defenders shy away from hitting guys heading out of bounds, which allows the ball carrier to pick up extra cheap yards.

Same 30 years ago, 40, and so on as long as the game has been a legitimate sport. It's true that QBs should play smarter to limit exposure of their receivers but it's even more true that the fundamentals of football need to be defined and enforced. Best sports show on the Air right now. This segment was outstanding
It's the same with European soccer, a bunch of rich people having a stroll
@@pat_diesel people were the same size back in the day? In better physical health you can argue with some players diet as many back in the day probably didn't care to but physical strength and physical nature this era of football is so soft and weak
@@pat_diesel What does that have to do with anything? You think because the overall average speed and strength has gone up very slightly over the past 15 years MAYBE that it’s a bloodsport out there? Also, do you think people that don’t watch football are listening to a football podcast? What a stupid statement 😂.
Now, you make that throw.
Salaries keep going up so you see more greedy prima Donnas and less gritty lunch pail guys.
Nah. Been watching NFL since early 80s. Far more competitive games/better athletes now. The NFL/refs deciding and ruining games is the real problem. 👎
My favorite player growing up was Brian Dawkins. Seeing the hits they he made, made the game so much more exciting. Now almost evey one of those hits is illegal. They are taking a huge part of the game out of it. It will be flag football within a decade

Watched some older nfl footage the other day and remembered what it was like. Yes it was way more explosive and impressive. Now it’s more like a martial art. Go through the motions to get the points.
The NFL is not rigged.
Texans had to beat the bengals and the refs a couple weeks ago. Refs did everything to try and keep the bengals in that game they didn’t even review the illegal touching on that TD in the end zone they just went to commercial break and came back saying it’s been reviewed no TD. Like wtf they didn’t even let the viewers see why really happened
I agree with Tom 100% here. They are pacifying the game badly especially with the hitting the QB penalties. Basically it's now flag football with QB's and that's sad. QB's can do whatever they want even faking slides for petes sake! I firmly believe if a QB crosses the line of scrimmage they are now running backs and you get NO special treatment.
Both are correct. Aaron is great and Tom's insight is refreshing
Brady is SPOT ON! I mean, what else is new?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 That’s why he’s the GOAT!
NBA is so soft these days. This recent era of basketball will be remembered flopping, complaining to refs, and NOT playing defense
100% right. people like Zac Wilson, Daniel Jones and Mac Jones would not be starting QBs in the past with that many failed chances.
Thats because teams realise the best opportunity is putting money in the tean when the QB is young and cheap.
Actually they prob would be. Diff is they would be expected to sit first 2 yrs. Minimum.
NFL teams used to develop players instead of expecting them to be Vets in year 2/3. That's why there's really only like 10-12 good QBs now
I disagree about Mac. The Kid didn’t go to a good situation.
There’s way too many times where Kermit should’ve got his head taken off but you can tell the defense is scared to hit him.
The product has suffered. Brady is 100% correct, especially about the coaches and player developement. Don't even get me started on the penalties.
I agree. The coaches don’t care.
Aaron hit it on the head, we're seeing MEDIOCRITY everywhere these days, and ALOT of us sometimes may think its just us getting old&bitter w reminiscing, but, in fact, things have gotten...

You can see why Brady's teammates always talk positive about him.
Baseball has devolved into badmitten. Rodgers is right. Can't break up a double-play, can't block the plate. It's very obvious in ALL major sports.
Totally agree, my interest in the NFL has really tanked in the last few years
The hockey journalists in canada started crying about hitting and fighting around 2002.
It's ironic that there are so many rules regarding the quarterback yet Rodgers, Burrow, Watson, and Cousins are all out.
I totally agree with AAron and Brady. I am so thankful I got to watch the 80s,90s,and start of the century until about 04. I loved the Hockey fights too, AAron
By far. There's no GREAT teams right now
And it's cause there's no great QBs anymore.
Getting a lot of special treatment
True that
Attaching football helmet to the shoulder pads & shoulder pads strapped across the torso could:
¹)
Reduce the centrifugal-force experienced to the head from any direction on the football field.
²)
Might lessen speed of brain before hitting inside skull.
Softening of society great point Aaron ,Tom Brady was spot on ,the league ruined football
Aaron is right about paying the refs. These guys should be getting multi million dollar deals with how critical they are for the game. It's not like the NFL can't afford it either.

What are you babbling about? Nobody made a rule to protect Brady.

Also doesn’t invalidate the rule that got made after his acl injury.
Agreed cause the Raiders have their way on playing. We can't even do half the stuff anymore. Defenders gotta get smarter !!!!
That stems from the lack of padded practice and two a days. Can’t practice run blocking much. But you can practice routes on air.
That was a direct shot at Suh😝😂 it’s funny I love both players tho Rodgers and Suh
The biggest issue outside of the what tom and Aaron said is the CBA and restrictive practices the cut back in practice time is really impacting OL play acoross the board which fundamentally changes the game and is a key reason why defenses have any success with every rule going againts tgem
