I know men are attracted to younger women and men that are extremely high status will often be seen with women in their 20s but for the average couple, the age gap is only like 2 years on average. So what men value and what they actually get are not exactly close. I haven't seen any stats on the other way around though. Women value a man that makes more money than them but how many women are actually in a relationship with a man that makes more than them? What's the average or Median? That's something I'd like to see answered.

Its doesn't even require a study, we intuitively know this at an animal level. Why else do males of most species do the overt competion? I found it really funny when she said guys giving her more shots because of her master's. I seriously doubt that, every heterosexual male on the planet I strongly doubt looked at a woman and said "I wonder what she does or has accomplished?" Women were basically property up until the 50s when they could enter the workforce and actually start supporting themselves. Obviously women dated up through time since up until recently every man was economically above a women by default.

@@REDDAWNproject People don't wanna own something that present any sort of negativity to a certain class/race/gender etc. So even if there is a huge amount of evidence that proves their statements otherwise, they will dismiss it with whatever excuse they can like... "that was from 5 years ago" or "WELL IN MY EXPERIENCE" like... they are the problem, they wont admit to reality and try to find real and meaningful solutions to the problems of today and instead try to live in this fantasy idealistic world where women can do no wrong and anytime issues arise in men, or men in society, it's their own fault. As a society it's everyone's fault, and we need to work together to fix the problems of our society instead of pretending there are none at all.

I wanna piggyback on that. Destiny was talking about the lack of fulfillment which comes from being the partner who stays home with the kids who seems to exist to support the main earner. I wanted to counter that it goes both ways. The idea that the primary earner is making 6 figures and has all this time for themselves is ridiculous. This is where we have this trope of father's who abandon their families. I am not saying it is right but the idea that being an earner with a career is so fulfilling and liberating feels very much off.

The real issue is with pretending that that is the average and that the statement "most women don't want to be the providers in relationships" is somehow incorrect.

I feel like the fact that women tend to date up economically, but have a harder time doing that now than in the past, causes women to raise their standarts in other areas. In total this makes the bar so much higher for men to attract a women for a relationship than vice versa. It feels to me like as a guy you have to be at least decently financially stable for your age AND decently attractive AND have a decently interesting/attractive character (confidence, humor, intelligence) to have good chances with most women.
If any of these qualities are significantly below average you're pretty much out of the game unless you can compensate with significantly above average stats in the two other areas.
Meanwhile women can largely still cruise on their looks alone like it's the 1950s, and even if they are just average wouldn't have any difficulties finding a guy to date, i'd argue even an unattractive women has it easier in that regard than most men. Like Destiny said in some other video, a woman counts as having her shit together if she just works any job and doesn't smoke crack, while a man counts as a loser if he doesn't at least have an average income.
This is really bad for society, women end up frustrated because they can't lock down a guy in a committed relationship that meets all these standarts, while men feel like they are in a rat-race where scoring anything below average means you have zero chances for a relationship.

The data on this doesn’t corroborate that narrative though. Yes, women PREFER men with money. Everyone prefers money. But in actuality, more women are the “breadwinners” (I hate that term) in their relationships than ever before. So, clearly, that hypergamous mentality is decreasing every year. Just like men PREFER young women with no kids, but the average marriage age for women is still ~28-30. I think people are conflating preferences with standards/deal-breakers because it allows them to make excuses for why they’ve been unsuccessful in dating.

    • @JohnDoe-jp4em
      @JohnDoe-jp4em 2 роки тому +2

@@LoneWulf278 That was the point of my comment. I said, that because women aren't able to date up economically that easy anymore, they raise their standarts on other traits. There are also more single people in their 20s than ever before and it's usually not guys that say they are fine being single and celibate, so where does this come from? And that guys have higher standarts to clear is pretty much a fact at that point, when is a woman ever judged on her financial status? Or on her ability to make jokes, her confidence, her interesting life? The majority of men are fine with an average looking woman that isn't a total mess on those factors. But like I said, a guy with these same attributes is going to have a real hard time dating because women generally have a lot of options and to me it seems many women are fine with being single until they find a guy that checks all these boxes.

We don’t live in the 1900s, women are enrolled in college at higher levels than men so it’s almost a given that high earning men will choose a woman that is college educated over one that is not. I’m 27 and one of my biggest regrets in life was listening to blue pillers when it comes to dating my whole life.
I used to think “being a man” was just a bs stereotype and I wasn’t very successful in college, but I joined the army, got a lot stronger, got a stable income, deployment toughened me up, and magically started getting more girls.
It’s shitty as someone who’s always leaned left on social issues but I 100% have to give it to red pillers that there’s something to this whole “be a man” thing. Stereotypes exist for a reason

I wish they would have defined an "ideal relationship" before going into this. This dude next to Hans kept talking about how successful his dating life has been, but he doesn't seem to be married and has had multiple relationships. That seems like a failure to me personally. A successful dating life to me, is finding your pair bond and marrying them, but I understand to some other people that running through as many women/men as possible is considered successful or having long term relationships are successful. But unless you actually agree on an "ideal relationship/dating life" how can you even talk about a successful dating life. How can you prescribe anything when you haven't given the stated goal.

A lot of people in my country can't easily afford to move out at 25 because their jobs still pay the minimum amount since they lack experience. So before they move out, it's way more comfortable to pay some small fee to parents, help with some housework, and stay in for some time before you can actually move out and be on your own and comfortably manage your finances. I understand that streamers like Destiny might have trouble understanding this since they have a particular personality and luck was on their side as well, but believe it or not, some people actually do have to worry about money and it's not always easy to just take off. Destiny acts smug as fuck now that he's fine but I'm pretty sure there is plenty of worlds where he could also have easily gotten absolutely fucked in his own path of life, so I don't really like his demeanor here.

In the terms of how people can improve on their independency, these can be the ways that this type of situations can be improved in the terms of policies,
      - Have legislation that would protect unionization / collective bargaining so the workers / employees can have better pay and better working conditions,
      - Make housing affordable by easing up on zoning ordinance laws in order for more housing develop companies to build affordable houses while also do a antitrust bust on private equity firms like BlackRock that are monopolizing the housing market,
      - Having public tax-funded higher education be tuition-free for the first four years while having finance classes in high school that could teach young kids to be better with their money,
There's a few other things that would greatly increase the chances of young adults living independently on their own, but these are the top three ways that I come up with from the top of my head.

Damn near all the women I've kept in touch with that I have met during undergrad and graduate school, are all either currently in a traditional conservative relationship, where they either do not work or work part-time or, they're currently seeking a traditional conservative relationship, where they either do not work or work part-time.
