Thank you for sharing Mark. Great insights! Wonderful that the video was made on site. That way, we get to experience a little of what goes "behind the scenes" of those wonderful images you post in Instagram.

Another excellent video. I am just starting to try woodland photography and find it extremely challenging which I love. Looking forward to more great content. Thanks.

Dear Mark, very good video as usual. And very nice, that you seem to doing this for your own entertainment and to teach people - not trying to make money with advertisements in between. Just one question - also about Olympus. As you shoot relatively wide open with F4. Question is why are you not going with the Olympus 12-100F4PRO lens. What you gain is the freedom, because you would not need a tripod. I shoot easily 1s and with a little bit of concentration even 2s. The transposed aperture you can compensate with a longer distance and a longer focal length. But you gain a whole lot of freedom in moving. Anyhow, thanks a lot for the detailed examples, I learned a lot.

Hi Maddin. Many thanks for viewing and for the comment. I actually do use the 12-100 f4 pro, it tends to be the main lens that I use on my Oly these days, for many of the reasons you mention. For this particular video though, I had decided to shoot with the Canon and video with the Oly EM1 mk2/12-100 combination. My original intent was to shoot at a shallower DoF, @ f2, and I was more comfortable, at the time, with the Oly for video. I have since recorded a vid using the cameras the other way around, but I,m still deciding whether to publish it or not. Some more work is probably needed on the edit.

Great video Mark. I struggle with woodland photography, especially finding good compositions. I'll bear your tips in mind next time I go!

Hi Atime. Many thanks for the suggestion and your interest in the channel. Yep, I do still have the Em1 mk2, unfortunately the recent firmware doesn't offer that much for the Mk2, other than focus stacking compatibility with the new 150 - 400, and some improvements in the IS for video. All the good stuff went to the Mk3 and 1x.

Hi Carola. Using Google Translate I've identified that it was the Boots you were asking about. These are made by Muck Boots (muckbootcompany.co.uk). They are very comfortable and one of my favourite pieces of gear for outdoor photography.
