Tebza was definitely right on the Mihlali's issue, this wasn't a safe space for men's point of view. What she said was boxing their responses.
Exactly, and it's not fair in that only the men need to be careful of what they say, but the women can say it how they see it. Ladies are equally responsible for a toxic relationship as the gents. For Mihlali to be with a married man and expect him to not cheat on her is crazy business.
I disagree. They must take responsibility for allowing her to police their opinions. They are just weak and like to please woman. Nothing was going to happen if he spoke his mind instead he tuck his tail in like a good boy and complained about it instead of saying what he thinks. Mind you she did not hold back all the nonsense she was thinking.

This conversation with its slight chaos actually mirrored our normal conversations on a day to day basis. I enjoyed the back and forth.
People should be allowed to to express themselves without censorship, even if their words are offensive or misguided. It is then up to everyone else to correct or teach that person and explain why their words are harmful.
The person should then take accountability for their offensive statements and apologise. That’s just my 2 cents

@godpenuel Lebo constantly feels like she is been attacked , The way she speaks and acts shows that she needs healing as she mentioned multiple times that the area she works, men don't see and listen to her, thus the whole time she made it about her. She didn't want her daily life life experience to happen again during the recording. Everyone noticed this and kept quiet, she almost cried while she she speaking. I hope once the recording stopped you guys talked about it.
Please note, my observation has nothing to do with her being a woman but its how people who are hurt or have been in her situation behave. Think of short guy been rejected by a woman, this first thing he thinks is "its because am short" and can't think of any other reason, now as his friend you need to be like nah bra, your approach was wrong and the girl is shorter than you.
Also @godpenuel you made the whole show about Lebo's personal life experience what she says is right, which is wrong, you should have mentioned its not about her personal life.
Not a single person stressed the point that men go through emotional abusive and keep quiet about it, getting physical is mostly the last resort for men, you just touched on it but didn't explain it to the women clearly.
Penson, your brother is right in saying women in the room ignored the fact that the guy said he was attacked by a knife, Lebo talked about how brilliant the girl was at showing her scares and not naming anyone thus letting the media to make the guy a villain, she placed herself as the victim in the situation and like Lebo said, the girl is good at marketing. In court, the girl will lose the case cause she attacked a human with a knife and a human defended themselves, case closed. This is similar to the black american actor who literally ran from a white girl that was attacking him and only after the multiple cameras were shown is when people forget about the situation and don't even see the guy as a victim cause if the multiple cameras didn't show the guy literally running through different streets he would be in jail and lost of his career's achievements.
In closing, my view is you catered to Lebo, its fine but you guys did more damage than good cause you were not honest with her and your brother noticed it, I noticed Ursula and the guys noticed it.
What you guys did wasn't wrong but a learning curve cause 2 hours will not be enough thus I hope you have another session with the same people and do not be afraid to voice your thoughts, yourself, Penson, Asbo, Tebogo Gomotso and the guys behind the camera. the men closed by saying I hear you Lebo..., thus she didn't her anyone. In the 2 hours, Lebo was not listening but speaking for the sake of it.

She clearly doesn't know how to accept being wrong, you were right and you did a disservice to yourself and viewers cause like most women like to do is get emotional and want to cry when a men corrects them or shares a different view. The best outcome would have been her listening to you and understanding why you saying she alienating some people and found a way to voice her view which without alienating people.
You can't tell someone to watch what they going to say before you even hear what they going to say, that wrong. Its like saying you guilty before proven innocent and its the innocents burden to prove themselves innocent. The right way is to listen to them and say, I hear you however you could have voiced it in this manner as the room or situation doesn't allow for it be said in the way you said it. I.e teach someone how to read the room, we all have friend who don't know how to read the room.
If this is too long, anyways keep pushing boss, am with you guys on this concept of recording, please don't stop.
The great things about this people will learn how to navigate conversations with people that don't have the same views as them, I watch a lot of Jorden Peterson and Joe Rogan podcast, they great talking to people they don't agree with.

What a great representation of the different mindsets we have in our societies❤. There are those who have been exposed to the possibilities and can see what is already unfolding, and there those who do not want change or possibily prefer going backwards in order to move forward. Then there are those who remain in the middle because they are trying to understand the consequences of each direction.
Indeed change is inevitable and nothing is new under the sun.

She's articulate but I don't agree with some of the points she made.
She is well articulated but too subjective with her views and like Pen said, if a person is strongly attached to their views then there’s really no room to debate and unlayer newer findings. I dislike chatting to close minded people who can’t hold conversations with the openness to learn and understand before sharing a view. We South Africans need to get better at this without being so emotional so we can reach more depth in our findings

Lebo is right about marketing (black rand vs white rand). There's more people in the villages and townships and they buy data daily but telecommunication companies are not bothering with improving the infrastructure there.

This was a DOPE sit down, actually got a bit frustrated when Ya'll are speaking over each other, but then realized there's no manual for a DOPE CONVERSATION😄. I think for the sake of audio for the viewers you guys should actually work out something to short out the "Speaking over each other" situation because not everyone is gonna listen/think like me. Otherwise the sit down was dope🙌🏾. Like Penual always say "Be a critical thinker" and I think ya'll brought that factor!

I like Lebo's point that everyone needs to take responsibility about what they say to other people because it may offensive. This should apply equally to men and women. The gents were trying to emphasise that it is mostly men's opinions that are policed, almost implying that what women say can never be offensive.

On the point of policing what a man say freely, that is wrong. Men should be allowed to speak freely and then that can be a teachable moment from the female point of view. Let men express themselves, then comment and teach from that so that they can also have a better understanding of the impact of their views on certain issues. Rather than to censor what they think because at the end of the day, them not being able to speak doesn't change that at the end of the day they are men and that's how they think and see things.

And here's the thing with debating with women, Feelings are and will always be an important aspect to them really. You hear how uSis Lebo says men aren't cautious and they'll sometimes say things that might offend her(paraphrasing). the truth is you will never understand everyone and not everyone will understand you. different lives, different life experiences, different life exposures make up who you are and how you perceive things. You're not meant to walkout of every conversation feeling positive and optimistic. I appreciate our sisters but as far as breaking certain issues that are still prevalent in our society, most of which are a huge factor, they are not doing justice, women can think but are not as thorough as men are and that's because of the emotions that get in the way during conversations

This episode was challenging to watch. A lot of viewpoints were disregarded, leading to censorship and gaslighting. It felt similar to a Black Twitter thread. We can disagree on things - that is fine. But we don't have to be so hostile to different opinions and expect others to take yours as the truth
From the conversation, it seems that people often engage in subtle conflicts without realizing it. This lack of mutual understanding and consideration can lead to misunderstandings. Personally, I dislike negotiations because I perceive attempts to gain my support as a form of dominance, which makes me respond more strongly than others might expect.
