Great set ups. I just got the 44gal Shaker ( almost 2 months ago ) and I am planning on picking up the 66gal Shaker this week The 66 will be my Mbuna cichlid tank and the 44 gal is now my community tank. Thanks for making such a great product.

Hi there! An air pump is not included (or needed) - the canister filter is responsible for both cleaning and oxygenating the water!

If the cabinet is against a wall covering the wall sockets, is the back of the cabinet solid or is the wall accessible through the cupboards. Also, if the filter is water fed from the bottom of the tank how do you isolate / clean filter
Hi Tony! Great question - yes, the rear of the Shaker cabinet is open, allowing sockets on the wall to be accessed. In order to perform filter maintenance, you can simply close the AquaStop valve, unplug the filter, and disconnect it from the system! 👌

I really like what the shaker aquarium's offer. Even looking them up through your website the place's don't show any shakers. I'd really like too get one of each. I like your substrate and want to use the other one also.

I have just seen the 2 shaker aquariums at my local fish store. They look amazing. I currently have a Fluval flex 32.5 and 15 gallon aquariums and I am very satisfied with your products. My concern is possible leaking around the bulk heads at the bottom of the shaker tank. I watched your videos on the canister filter where you recommended to change the o rings once a year. Are there concerns with leaking around the shaker tank. Also was surprised that my local Pet Center in Old Bridge NJ was not listed as a Fluval retailer. I purchased all my aquariums and other Fluval products there. His store allowed me to see and touch your products before purchasing them. Could you give the Pet Center attention? Keep up the great videos coming and can you provide a video how to disengage and clean the canister filter on the shaker aquariums?
Hi Joseph! You don't need to worry about leaks developing around the through-tank connection system - we've used this system for over ten years in our aquariums, and there haven't been any problems! With regards to cleaning the filter on Shaker aquariums, you can consult this video - it's simply a matter of closing the AquaStop valve and disconnecting it from the filter! ua-cam.com/video/65qydS8mSBA/v-deo.html

I really like these and the aquarium size is ideal , but the cabinet for me would be better just two bigger cupboards to store water buckets etc more. Are Fluval planning on doing the same size but with doors only not the shelves. I do think it’s a good complete unit

Is there a feeding window or do you have to take the canopy off to feed? Wished the heater was designed in the canister, such a beautiful setup, let’s hide the heater! Also wish it came with the Plant 3.0 light. I have a Spec V and a Flex 15…love your tanks!
Hi Sidney, you can simply slide the cover aside to feed your fish, and slide it back into place once you're done!
Would a FX6 fit in a Shaker 345L cabinet?

Hi Niklas! We prefer for filter space to be devoted entirely to what it's supposed to be used for - filtration! Engineering a heater into a filter wastes valuable space that could otherwise be used to keep your aquarium water clear and healthy for the fish.

Where can you buy extra wire sliding guides for over rim
Would these tanks be good for Aquatic turtles? Would I be able to fit a basking Dock and basking bulb? Or would the led light be basking? And do I always have to buy fluval lighting for the tank or can it be changed for a different brand? Thank you.
Hi there! Shaker aquariums are not intended for use with turtles, as there's nowhere to install a basking light or UVB bulb. We recommend the use of Fluval LEDs with the tank, but other lights can certainly be used if they fit within the canopy.

For the fluval 252 shaker they only give you x4 wire sliding guides I need more.. where can you buy the spares as cannot find any anywhere

Hey! Has anyone with a Fluval Shaker ever disconnected the intake/ output nozzle/ stem to clean it? I have had it for 6 months and feel like I should but didn’t want to break it in the process by accident! Thanks!
Hi Robert! If you watch the video linked below (skip to about 4:30), you'll see how the intake and output assemblies are connected. This should help you understand how you can take them apart to clean them!

What light comes with this? I have Aquasky 2.0 LED on all my tanks now. This video makes it sound like I would have to buy an additional light to get the same light? For the price of the set at my LFS - it should come with a light that doesn't have to be upgraded - unless it's to Plant or Reef, for specialized lighting..
The 168ltr comes with the Fluval 16.5W Bluetooth LED Light. The 252ltr comes with the Fluval 24W Bluetooth LED Light. I think these are similar to, but not the same as, the Aquasky 2.0
The lighting included with Shaker aquariums are very similar to Aquasky 2.0 Bluetooth LEDs! They have all the same features and utilize the FluvalSmart app like the LEDs you already have.
@@fluval Thank you both. Turns out the set at my LFS was shattered, so I couldn't get it at the time. And now... I'm back to just liking my 32 Flex. Just wish I did' have to take the cover off to clean the dang thing. Otherwise, it'd be perfect.
Beautiful set up! I bought a Chi aquarium for my Betta fish, love it, but the light will not turn off. How can I get a new light? It is less than 6 months old, bought it from Petsmart.

I really like the size of this tank in the 345 litre. The dimensions are perfect but those through the bottom filter connections would terrify me.
Hi Wayne, thanks for your comment! We've used the Easy-Connect filter system on our tanks for decades, dating back to the old Studio and Profile models - you have nothing to be terrified of! 😎

Please, please, please release the Grey Oak finish in the Uk… looks so much more sleek than the Grey Slate which looks cheap in my opinion.

I beg of you dump the "through the tank filtration" it restricts you to barley adequate 406/07 when most want the fx filters now i believe you do an attachment for this but cant get it anywhere meaning the 3 tanks i have needed to be retrofitted with cutting lids
