Mulching is life! feeding the soil is life For those who would be tempted to do the same, be careful according to your soil conditions, you may be faced with a nitrogen hunger linked to the excessive consumption of the microbiota to decompose all this wood. It strongly depends on what you put on the ground, if it is, if it is varied no problem, if it is only wood chips, without green (leaves, young branches). Spread crushed horn on the ground before putting the mulch to compensate. Thanks Eric for these videos, I always watch your channel ahah You are the cause of many additions to my collection ❤ (the latest Rosato Bresciano) (I live in France)
@@juldo7053 good point. Bill did mention the need for diverse “wood chips”. I’m not sure it was in the video though. What he uses is a mix of leaves, sticks, chips and such. There’s fast breakdown stuff and long term. I use the same Has Rosato Bresciano fruited for you? Mine should next year. It looks so good!!!
@@figsandchocolate5553 I'll receive the cutting next week, I still have work ahah I'll have your opinion before mine ;-p Indeed from what I've seen, it looks very tempting!
I would stronger consider a once off sub soil of compacted clay subsoil. Then min till, minimise compaction, adding organic material, allowing maturity of plants with deep roots thereafter
