Is that really you Alan who played Jackie in this ep? You were so good and it's one of our favourite episodes. My sister Beth and I and a very good friend in the U.S. are devoted Marius Goring admirers so would love to know what it was like to act with him and what he was like! We have also seen you in the episode 'Big Fish Little Fish' of Gideon's Way and the episode 'All That Glitters' of Man in a Suitcase. That was a really excellent performance by you in Gideon's Way. The mother's character was a real piece of work - great acting from Carmel McSharry. We have a website devoted to Marius Goring mariusgoring.com
@@Nellynog62 Hi Janelle yes it really is me, thank you for kind comments. I wish I could tell you more about Marcus, I got on well with him but he was a freindly, quiet man, I got on better with Ann Lynn who I'd worked with before. Carmel was a lovely woman we had a great time filming those scenes. I retired shortly after this program as it was becoming more difficult to act as a child, (I was 19) and left the industry.
I was told very young I had a different father than my sisters. But i never knew him, only my sister's father. Today that man, my father, helps me whenever I need it. Has never not treated me equal. NEVER wld he send me back what! This dude is crap. Half a man. Smh
I'm glad Kim to hear you appreciate your father. And that he has been honourable for you. I've always told my children that any fool can make a baby, but parenthood is a serious job of work and the person who does it deserves the credit. It's sad that some people can be so obsessed that they destroy the family they actually have for the fantasy of one that might have been but wasn't.
This episode manages to find several different intriguing and provocative ways to make the audience uncomfortable. I'd say that qualifies as very good drama & television!
Wow. I wasn’t planning on watching this series I’d never heard of but was recommended based on my love of classic British TV but, with a stunning endorsement like THAT, how could I not?!
@@hatednyc So glad that you're enjoying the series. It was groundbreaking for its time and has stood up so well. And some of the storylines are still very pertinent today. The acting, especially from our beloved Marius Goring, is so good.
Yes, he was indeed. I have seen him in a few other shows. He is very good in an episode of the Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre were he plays a murderous surgeon.
Very well done. Masterly woven bits of information that just hint at the possibilities.
Excellent series . I enjoy reading the comments about each episode .
Oh my god, didn't know this episode has survived! Janelle

I always like reading all the interesting informative background storylines . Thank you for sharing your life as a actor .
Remember this from back in the day. Thank you for these episodes
Watched all your series 3 and 4 episodes and this is the best one so far!
Yes, this is a very good episode but so sad at the end.
I really appreciate your upload, most enjoyable, thanks ❤

I completely agree with your comment.

He completely obliterated the trust. That woman and her child deserve better
Very wimpish, yes
@@Webbgurl2000Strictly speaking he wasn't her child, but he was a child, and she brought him up.
People play around and then the offspring suffer. Love Marjorie Rhodes; seems she always played hard-bitten mothers.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's a very good episode if rather uncomforatble and very sad at the end.

What a twist. Never expected it.
Dudley Foster.A seemingly tourcherd soul playing himself in all his acting parts. Put his head in the oven at the end. So awfully sad.
That was a twist ! The great Dudley Foster , who sadly died before his time .
The days before DNA testing.
Apologies found hanging. Rest in peace Dudley.
Flipping heck never knew that
Dudley Foster, a fine actor, such a sad end to his career

Too chilling for me.
Kids can be the CRUELEST......Heaven help us if our future is run by them like in some Sci-Fi scenarios!
PS....what an unbelievably STUPID ending!
So sad
