Over observance of professional conduct and sanctimonious virtue signalling is repulsive. If someone "rats" on the police officer beating up the kidnapper of a child and the murderer of one's own wife, then he had lost all sense of justice and proportion. Watching that last scene created a sense of absolute disgust for Hardy. I wouldn't want that kind of obsessive, obnoxious person anywhere near me.
That's a very interesting comment. I have always been puzzled by the last scene where Hardy is reading a document and then signs it. Why is he involved in any sort of post mortem on the kidnapper and shooter? Wouldn't that be a huge conflict of interest? Unless, he is just giving a statement. I just watched that scene again and that appears to be what he is doing. BTW, in the 1976 Bernard Picton novel 'The Expert' based on the series, Innes (Brian Blessed) was not killed by the police but ended up in a mental facility. But, just watching it again, they don't actually say that Innes was killed by the police beating just that he was beaten.
Thank you for posting this series. Every episode is very well written .
The kidnapperr looks like Dan Akroyd!
He showed himself in the window many times. Any half decent marksman would have had him.
My God what a monster that kidnapped him.
Yes, this is quite a distressing episode. Brian Blessed plays a great villain.
Wasn't Brian Blessed handsome!!!😁😉
👍👍
Omg
