I blocked the passage in the elevator shaft NOT because I wanted to make things more complicated. There was a huge and valid reason for that. The reason was: to prevent a soft lock. I had to take into consideration all possible combinations and sequences when solving this elevator puzzle. For instance, you also made a mistake here. You sent the elevator to the 3rd floor, and then by mistake you sent the elevator down to the 1st/2nd floor. Then you had to find a way to reach the lever that sends the elevator to the 3rd floor again. Likewise, other combinations and sequences (and errors) are also possible. This block was necessary. I discovered it during the beta-testing phase, when one beta-tester made a mistake here, and then couldn't start over and had to reload. Then I blocked that passage, and this soft lock was prevented thereby. The lever in the basement is also placed there for the same reason. For example, if you're in the basement, and the elevator is on the 1st floor, you cannot leave! So, I placed a lever there to send the elevator to the 2nd floor, so that you can get out and start over or continue with the puzzle. This particular puzzle is very elaborated. I had to make sure that you can start over, no matter where exactly you made the mistake, no matter where the elevator is. That was also the reason why I added two shortcuts. I had to cover all possible scenarios and ensure that no mistake with this puzzle will result in a soft lock. Happy raiding!
@@ninacroftchannel well thats a perfectly reasonable explanation! I did wonder :D Was an elaborate and intricately made room could see the effort that was put into it 😁
@@Theseus9-cl7ol yeah an extremely high standard of building with all levels released in this competition. This definitely holds its own with the rest of them 👍😁
And to drop down from the pushable obelisks, RUN JUMP INTO THE WATER POOL :)

This is a really cool looking level, and it has a lot of those angle jumps where it's tricky to grab.
