gramatical rules used to is applicable to denote past habits
Vis a vis would. Though used to
can denote past habitual actions,
and state; would is not applied to
denote state of being of past.
I am sorry to comment Be used to
is a poor form of usage. There
are words like accustomed to,
habituated to , familiar with
etc instead of be used to..
I am habituated to get up early
in the morning etc. Let students
apply advanced words instead
of clinging on to the worn out usages.
However, I appreciate that you
