Ludo Movie Review & Analysis | Rajkummar Rao, Fatima, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi | Netflix

- #Ludo is the new directorial venture of Anurag Basu. A director that i have been a fan of, especially his work in films like Barfi and Jagga Jasoos. Ludo follows a multiple story narrative that constantly crosses paths with one another, much like the popular board game! Starring actors like #RajkummarRao Fatima Sana Sheikh, #PankajTripathi , Saanya Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur and Abhishek Bachchan! The film is the right step towards inventiveness and original stories! What did you think of the Ludo Review and Analysis

My apologies on the mistake. Rohit Saraf plays the role of Rahul Awasthi (Rohit,Rahul,Rohan:Bass confuse hee ho gaya)
I think this movie is a treat to watch and undoubtedly one of the best movie released this year....
@@charchiljain8050 I agree. The plot was different and new.

Yes, comparing the indulgence of both Basu and Kashyap in their fictional worlds

Why no one is talking about that little girl Inayat Verma? I mean she was so bloody brilliant.
True. She's the best in the movie

Right!!! I even said the same thing in my review.

Like she is orchestrating the whole ransom situation lol. So good.
Im from America and I married an Indian who introduced me to Bollywood Movies. Best choice ever!!!
True
one of the details : the reason why sattu bhaiya got hit by cars so many times is because he's the dice in the game, therefore he would get rolled every other time
Oooo . I didn't think that way . Thanks
That is symbolic 😀
Damn i didnt even think of it like that . Soo clever
I felt bad for bittu in the end because everyone got their loved ones and got happy ending but he didn't get any of these 😔
Yet he reached his 'home' by letting his daughter be with whom she now came to love as her father.
He followed the example of the little girl that why she left her beloved dog cheeku just for its happiness...!!

The scene where abhishek bacchan meets his daughter for the first time after returning is just magical abhishek has shown in the movie that he posesses acting skills of the highest caliber and would love to see more of him in the future.

At last Aditya Roy Kapoor got a role that suits his acting ability. He is an amazing actor who just couldn’t get roles that he fits best.
True that

True
I think he has more or less been good in every project, even the ones that failed, like Fitoor and Kalank. The talent is unquestionable.
Aashiqui 2 is also perfect for him.
@@TriedRefusedProductions I have always liked his acting, his acting feels natural on the screen just like Fawad khan from Kapoor and sons. Even in guzaarish his acting was quite enjoyable. He rarely feels like he isn’t suited for the role that he has been selected for(everyone could see Arjun Kapoor was not a good choice for panipat) this has never happened for Aditya Roy Kapoor.
I think I’m grateful that Ludo was 2.5 hrs long because I couldn’t get enough of the movie. I don’t mind a sequel😂 Especially if it’s narrated by Abhishek Bachchan’s Bittu from up in Heaven
Abhishek Bachchan's eyes!! There was so much he was expressing. It was unbelievable. Pankaj Tripathi at his best. It was an amazing watch. I don't think you can stop at watching it just once.
That awkward dance from Rao, was damn hilarious. I'm still laughing at it, while i play the scene in my mind.

IMO THIS IS THE ONLY MOVIE THAT DESERVED A THEATRICAL RELEASE THIS YEAR.
Anurag Basu's scripts form in his heart, formulated in his head and implemented directly on the set itself.
Winter is coming... I hope you don't arrive in real...
Lmao where else will the story be implemented if not the set?
@@simonbright2975 He meant that he often improvises on the set directly. Not many have the balls to do that.
I have heard Ranbir Kapoor say in various interviews that the way of working with Anurag Basu can be very vague and uncertain. Like sudden changes in script or character while shooting. Script, dialogs, everything keeps on changing and so, many a times films take longer than usual to be completed. It's like a blind game where the actor just has to trust the vision of the director, then the end product might or might not work. It's like the true Bengali artist, they can't follow the process or standard procedure. They need their artistic freedom.
The scripts will be in his head only, because it is an amalgamation of various ideas stolen from films from various countries.
It has to keep on changing because the director continues to watch new films even when he is directing one.
Some scene or concepts he likes in another film he wants to incorporate in the film he is directing.
He has created a halo around him so that actors don't complain.
As the Rishi Kapoor said he is a clueless director, not sure of the product he is making.
No wonder his films always go over budget and are unnecessarily lengthy.

- Amitabh Bachchan might be the diamond, his son isn't less than a ruby himself. He's flawless.
- Rajkumar Rao's character is a unique quirk in the entire movie... Attire, hairstyle, behavior, etc.
- Indian audience crib about content, but amusingly, they also don't understand it when served.
- Anurag Basu has a really unique and lovely way of storytelling in his movies. Love him a lot!
- Jagga Jasoos is a unique benchmark for Disney-like storytelling movies. It deserves praise.
- Screenplay is the most important factor when it comes to interconnecting storyline genre.
- Music is the cherry on the cake for all Anurag Basu's movies with Arijit, being that cherry.
- #5 is intentional. People have to become aware of the content served before judging it.

@@Lazymath007_ Precisely but these roles are outdated and call for an era where men are seeking women to be emotionally just and can't be emotionally content within. Whether we accept it or not; quite debatable but cinema shapes people's minds and hence society as well so it is important to keep a balance in the content. I know many men in the current generation are growing up to be emotionally mature & awakened, and I wish many more will continue to do so, even if the content isn't there to encourage them.

The amout of women who are Gold diggers in the this movie is Overwhelming....
the nurse girl and the wife played by Fathima arent gold diggers only the girl played by Sanya is a gold digger. I don't think you can call the small kid a gold digger
@@yumyum9902 hmm let's see...
Adityas girl was a gold digger...
Rajkumars girl was a gold digger...
Nurse 1 was a gold digger (she killed a person and took his money.)
Oh wait, Abhisheks wife was a gold digger... (circumstantial you may say but was one.)
🤔 Almost all women in the movie are flawed, I say that's a little too much.
I don't think so. A Gold Digger is someone who forms relationships only to extract money from the other person. Only Sanaya Malhotra's character was a Gold Digger who by the end of the movie mended her ways.
1. Fatima's Character got married to the Cheating Husband because that was her father's choice and she was not romantically involved with Aaloo. If money was the reason she wouldn't have gone to that length to get her husband out of jail. She approached Aaloo for 'Help' not necessarily money (money got involved because the other woman asked for it).
2. Nurse 1 did attempt to murder and keep the money for herself and the SalesBoy. But she didn't get into a relationship for money.
3. Abhishek's wife got into relationship with his friend more because he was there when Abhishek wasn't and she needed emotional support and the daughter needed a father figure. Yes, she asked Abhishek for money but didn't promise to get back together in return.
Yes, the female characters were flawed but they weren't Gold Diggers.
Only Sanya is a gold digger.. rest all women are more of slave of the adverse situation..asha Negi the one women who once wive of Abhishek left him due to his troublesome life..Fatima Sheikh was never proposed by rajkumar is why she never knew he loved her..she married and but was cuckolded by her cheating husband, despite she goes on rescuing him, third that nurse..she barely exploited any man for money but she got latched with the other guy..but where did you saw she trying use him sort of?
Again the other metron nurse..lol.. she was just helping him out ...
I guess..you should check on it again on what's the exact meaning of gold digging.. what kind of women are called out as gold diggers
@@Escapist... The female characters were flawed, so were the male characters. Hmm who was least flawed? 🤔
There are two characters who made their debut in this movie. First one is a narrator in white shirt and second one is the husband of Bittu’ wife. These actors have worked with Anurag Basu for the serial Stories by Ravindranath Tagore. I still remember their voice and thats how I recognized them in this movie. This movie is so so so good. Even the second underwhelming aspect of the Jammy was the one which I liked.
From acting to cinematography everything was so beautiful. A movie we need to praise.
But one suggestion Jammy. Your thumbnail this time 'Audience is smart' is not correct just like the one you did in 'Bulbul'. Its quite misleading to makeup a person's mind. (I think so. Maybe I am wrong)
Its actually much better than his previous thumbnail. He used to give away spoilers in thumbnail earlier. Atleast this time I coudnt understand watching thumbnail of he meant its for smart audience or the audience is smart and the movie is tone deafed.
If the starcast is so capable you hardly doubt the product because everyone will give their 100%.

Abishek Bachchan stole my heart in this film
Directors like Anurag Basu, Shoojit Sircar,Sujoy Ghosh, Dibakar Banerjee, Pradeep Sarkar, Ayan Mukerji always make great films. Their films, regardless of the box office performance, are great and an absolute gem to watch.
When Jammy said the underwhelming aspects first, I knew this was a good film
The best thing about the movie is you can make an individual movie for all the couples separately and would undoubtedly be awesome. The characters were developed so nicely.
If producer will try to re-release in theatre then It's treat to watch. Big applause for overall assembled casting.👏👏👏
Wow just finish watching the movie and I can’t stop thinking about it. What a masterpiece! All the actors were outstanding!
