You’re right! I tried to listen to her as background music while at work, but I kept stopping to listen to what she was doing and kept playing back different changes that she did. Her musical choices, her ear, her grasp of jazz as an art form are all just phenomenal.
If I were to pass away this is the music I would want at my funeral because it’s calming n comforting and would make me feel at peace on my journey home while putting arms around my loved ones having to say their goodbyes.🙏🏻⛅️ 🌌
Saw her at the Musical Instrument Museum last night (9/30). As good as this clip is, it doesn't do her justice. She's very, very good in person. Great stage persona, very warm funny and engaging...and a huge range.....She's the real deal for sure..Go see her if you get the chance.
