Here is a young lady with an unusually sultry, haunting voice who dares to ignore the garbage with which we are bombarded under the guise of music and chooses to use her beautiful voice to caress the ckmpositions of tbe great songs writers. She not only sings the standards, but she chooses some diffucult pirces and masters them. Duke Ellington's "Sophisticated Lady" is not an easy song to sing. The bridge is complicated and even seasoned performers stsy away from this song. Hoagy Carmichael's "Stardust" is not for amateurs. She masters both of them and with very little accompaniment, then with her voice she doesn't need much. I refrain from saying another Sarah or Ella or Billie. She is a giant on her own and will make her name on merit. Wishing her well and much success in the future. She is a breathvof fresh air for us who have been starved of real talent and beautiful music for so long.
