yeah..but it slows the tempo of the series...making it all about her....Id rather watch a series what involves all the characters working together...That time in the prarie was brutal to sit thru...Nothing happened....nothing...lol
I can't imagine a better fit for this role. I know it was just fictional, but it felt so real. I am not an emotional person, but at the end I felt like I had lost a family member. This series was beautifully done, perfectly done, it touched my soul. Credit to all involved, but Ms. May took it in for the touchdown. Kudos to Ms. May! It would not have been the same without her.
Couldn't say it any better. As a 26yr old father with 2 little girls, the ending was rough for me. I've never been so moved by a cinematic production as I know it's all fiction, but it hit way too close to home for me. Especially to imagine losing either of my girls!
I agree Isabel added a reality to the story that I don’t think anyone else would have been able to do. I didn’t like seeing her leave Sam but I was happy when it showed her riding off with him. Together they created such real sensuality that you could believe in the love they were sharing. I love her voice in the narration portion it is filled with emotion that allows us to feel all that she was feeling. She is amazing and I can’t wait to see her in other movies.
She is honestly such a fantastic actress, a breath of fresh air if you will. Haven't watched this series yet, but I'm working up to it. Anything she works on is automatically gold. Every character she plays just has so much emotion and you feel everything her character feels, it's unreal.
Elsa made the movie the other actors were great but Elsa brought the script out & took me into the reason things were happening that otherwise i would have been hanging out in the wind. Great job
Isabel, you nailed it. Couldn’t get enough of your portrayal of Elsa. It was magical and one of the most amazing characterizations ever seen on screen.
She was SO SO AWESOME as Elsa. I LOVED her narration of the show too (her voice TOTALLY DID IT FOR ME too). I hope to se her in MANY MANY more roles (even though I was in TEARS at the end when she died).
This piece was one of the most moving I have seen in a very, very long time. Isabel was perfect in her role. She's so beautiful and her acting was incredible. The entire series was so poetic thanks to Isabel.
Isabel May deserves an award for this amazing performance. She was brilliant. And she could ride like the wind, this girl. She drove up to Santa Clarita where I live to learn to ride. I had a hard time telling that she had no prior riding experience.
I really love 1883! I loved it more than Yellowstone!! I wish that there was more than 1 season! Isabel is a very talented actor and really brought Elsa to life!!!
Isabel as Elsa just broke my heart. For me, she was easily the most impactful character on the show. The scene at the end with she and Tim under the tree is one of the most emotional I have ever seen. Tears were flowing. Isabel did a wonderful job of allowing us to experience everything that Elsa felt. And on a side note, she is Jennifer Lawrence's doppelganger; same laugh and everything. I loved "I883", and I hope "1923" is as good. Very good interview.
What a lovely intelligent woman. I admire her honesty of who she is and how she played the role of Elsa. The relationship with Tim and Faith seemed authentic as her true parents. Great show. I love Yellowstone and 1923, where Elsa's memory lives in through generation's. At first I thought Isabel was Jennifer Lawrence, they could be sister's 😆 LoL

Such poise and professionalism in such a young lady. We binge watched 1883 over three weekends. It became more like a long movie. It was so powerful but it was a sign of the time. Makes me feel like a weak and a slacker for what people and families went through to follow their dreams to explore the west and stake their lives of land owners.
Absolutely. I know there's a bit of fiction tossed in 1883. But it portrays that life back then so terrible, trying, and rough. The show makes it seems miserable, but just imagine was it was really like!

If I can't find tears to cry even though I need to cry this girl helps me find the tears to cry all the way through the series, I love this whole series all the way through, nothing is better than this!
Excellent interview. All the actors were excellent in the series but, of course, Ms. May really stood out as Taylor Sheridan intended her to do. Her ability to evoke all the different emotions she did during all the episodes says volumes about her and she did it effortlessly. She will, no doubt, go very far in her career.
You're commitment to Elsa's journey showed, as she grew up before our eyes each day and therelationship with her Mother and Father shifted as she grew in confidence, not just in her ability to ride like a Commanche, herd cattle and wild horses, but in her belief in her own judgement as she conquered so many fears, including trusting herself to love .... first with Ennis and both were so endearing and then with Sam who recognized, acknowledged and encouraged her to see these qualities within herself. Isabel, do you believe Elsa would have been a great Commanche leader's wife, garnering just as much respect and love from tribe members as Sam, as years went by and her children had children? Taylor's writing for Elsa was inspired...his talent is difficult to grasp but it's clear his vision was realized in every scene of 1883. Favorite line of my is Ennis' when he asked you to take off your hat because "you might be too pretty for me". The whole series made me miss my Tenn Walker I had to leave in Ohio when I moved back to Houston. I look forward to finding another horse when I move near Possum Kingdom Lake area in a few years.
Gotta say, my heart was def cracked open by Isabel's portrayal of Elsa. An inspiring young lady for certain. I feel 1883 was a story, beautifully told, from the writing to the acting. Might have to rewatch at some point.

Isabel May is just phenomenal in this show. If she doesn’t win a hatful of awards for her performance then all awards show lose all credibility. It was ther perfect performance.
Fabulous interview.. Isabel your performance has absolutely captured me and changed me as a women and how I want to feel and live life and inspired me as a performer. All your answers were exactly what I was hoping you would touch on. Heartfelt congratulations truly. Wow.
I realized 1883 was part of the Yellowstone series after and I wished to have seen it before Yellowstone. either way 1883 was my favorite out off all 3 and wanted to see more. Everyone was amazing. Elsas character was phenomenal and this young lady played it so well. Bravo 👏 ❤
I'm about 2/3rds of the way through the show, and I can't wrap my head around how good she is in it. But this explains so much. Isabel's attention to the craft of acting, knowing her journey, understanding that it would start with her being as comfortable on a horse as in a chair is just outstanding.
Isabel is wise beyond her years. She has shown me that in reality or fiction, the heart loves who the heart loves. I wept like a baby and felt real loss with the passing of Elsa. And it made me wonder about other stories just as poignant that will never be told, and are forgotten in the winds of time. Fictitious or not, I wish there were a statue of Elsa riding hell-bent for leather, in her buckskins with her hair blowing in the wind behind her, in some quiet glade just outside of Yellowstone. I'd go see it = )
@@gerrydooley951 Probably. But did you see her in those buckskins?! Wow!!! And what a performance. Besides...haven't you heard? We are all in a simulation anyway.
By principle, I wouldn't watch "Yellowstone", because of Costner, and it was a highly recommended watch in the first place. I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch it at all. But this girl, man... she made me fall in love with the genre, if that's a thing. "1883" is a cinematographic masterpiece, and her performance is one of the most powerful I've seen on any screen. I was off to bed around midnight, when I decided to watch the first episode before going to bed. Well, I couldn't stop and watched the whole damn thing in a row, ending up crying like an actress around 6 in the morning. And she's the main reason for that. Love you, Isabel May, and thank you big time for the unforgettable performance. You made my day (night).
Ms Isabel May you made that role. I started off hating your character thinking this is a spoil brat of a girl and why is she narrating but in the end WOW!!! I just could wait to see what your character was going to do next and I hated it when you got wounded ...no..no..no..she,,, is going to die,,very sad but beautiful ending of such a powerful character...Even in death your character was amazing. Thank you for such a great performance...Your character and Beth"s are in a way very much alike.
One of my favorite scenes is when Elsa finally “sees” her mom as a capable, independent woman who isn’t just her mom but an accomplished horsewoman and she’s watching her heard the cattle and says, “she is magnificent!” The admiration and respect for her mother is evident. Elsa practically breathes, “I want to be like her. She’s a force to be reckoned with!” I think all moms want to be magnificent in their daughter’s eyes.
Watching episode 8 tonight brought tears to my eyes. Ms. May is something special in her own right. Faith and Tim are so good together. Taylor Sheridan is force for good and righting the history of the Native American Nation.
Isabel is a brilliant actor. Her performance in “1883” reminded me of Daenerys Targaryen from Game Of Thrones. I can’t wait to see her in future projects. Great video!
5:13 Isabel, you remind me soo much of my daughter! Her name is Isabella. You look and act similar. You made the entire show and you were born to play Elsa. You’re such a talented actress!?I’ve been glued to the tv! It was absolutely beautiful!!! 😊
There was one movie that made me feel like I was really there Stolen Women , I didn't think I would ever feel that again . Then they made this show and I'm hooked ! Left me for wanting more . Excellent ! The setting , the awesome actors , but this little girl just made me love her . ❤
OMG I was mesmerized by you in that show...you were sensational.. Beautiful young actor that did a sensational job..!!! cant wait to see you in more films...
My favorite new actress! I loved her in 1883 ! So gorgeous and convincing! When I first saw her face in the pilot episode, I thought “ Wow ! What a gorgeous, young girl ! I’d kill to be that young again 🥰” . Then I was totally sucked in by all the good acting from her and everyone else . Just finished binge watching the show and I’m gutted that Elsa died . That’s how convincing everyone was . 🥰
I like the narration she gave throughout the series. Was a great touch. My take was she needed to adapt (be a fathers son) to her setting quick and her father new it as well.
Her narration was amazing, absolutely beautiful. Her crying scenes were not. It looked at tinea like she was having issues turning on the faucet. Overall though I was very impressed. Hope to see her in more very soon
She’s so cute. Like Dove Cameron and Jennifer Lawrence put together! I really loved her character, and I really loved seeing Tim and Faith together in this as well! I wish she had survived the arrow and the show had gone on. I would’ve loved to see her and Sam find each other again.
This was a beautiful character and she killed it. Her performance was stunning. Ennius and Sam…both gorgeous love stories.

I'd go see it = )
I think you take TV too seriously.
@@gerrydooley951 Probably. But did you see her in those buckskins?! Wow!!! And what a performance. Besides...haven't you heard? We are all in a simulation anyway.

If we're in a simulation I want better lines!
Magnificently beautiful series. Her character and narration were impeccable, emotionally raw and organic. An epic performance.
This interview brings out how much she prepared for and invested in this role. In my estimate, she's earned lots of new opportunities.
Would love to see her comeback in the next generations !
You have done such a wonderful job on this show!! I’ve cried & have been moved by every episode ❤ keep up the great work!!
Isabel, 🔥🔥🔥she'll go a long way and should get a grammy at a young age !!
I think she deserves her own spinoff. It would make such a great storyline. Her character was the BEST!! ❤😊
All of these series have been amazing. This young lady captured my heart. My wife calls her my girl whenever she appeared. LOL
Isabel is the best young actress out there she did a great job in 1883 I hope she continues to act
1883 is the BEST SHOW/SERIES IVE SEEN IN YEARS!!!
Watching episode 8 tonight brought tears to my eyes. Ms. May is something special in her own right. Faith and Tim are so good together. Taylor Sheridan is force for good and righting the history of the Native American Nation.
Isabel May killed it.I can’t imagine anyone else doing a better job.I loved her portrayal of this character.😊
I fell in love with this series I cried I am a true fan bravo you deserve your flowers
I'm just watching 1883 at this present time Isabel May is definitely the star of The Show and what a fantastic voice well done young lady
Isabel is a brilliant actor. Her performance in “1883” reminded me of Daenerys Targaryen from Game Of Thrones. I can’t wait to see her in future projects. Great video!
She also reminded me of that character
5:13 Isabel, you remind me soo much of my daughter! Her name is Isabella. You look and act similar. You made the entire show and you were born to play Elsa. You’re such a talented actress!?I’ve been glued to the tv! It was absolutely beautiful!!! 😊
As a former horseback rider, I was impressed with her horsemanship and she looked natural while riding. Isabel portrayed Elsa beautifully.
Elsa was perfect in this part, wish she could have continued her story with her Indian man
That would have been an awesome spin off!
Great actrice stunning performance in 1883.
Absolutely home run actor in the 1883. Loved the movie watched it twice. Great job everyone in that film!!!!! Thank you !!
This girl is perfect for this role i don't care what anyone thinks. Acting , is Acting, and love they way she acts
This was a lovely conversation. Great actress! ❤️❤️❤️
Isabel is not only stunningly beautiful, she also seems like a nice person too.
Fantastic series. .Kudos to all involved.
She’s so cute. Like Dove Cameron and Jennifer Lawrence put together! I really loved her character, and I really loved seeing Tim and Faith together in this as well! I wish she had survived the arrow and the show had gone on. I would’ve loved to see her and Sam find each other again.
