I've posted an FAQ on my community page: ua-cam.com/users/postUgydM6a86M7q3sZoh1h4AaABCQ Thank you again for the for massive amount of thoughtful comments and helpful feedback! It's beyond relieving to know that this was so well received after how long it took to make.
If you like the graphics PLEASE check out Trigger Happy Horses. The animator made a complete trial and a full hour is a lot of work for the amount of views and likes it got. ua-cam.com/video/cu7-oOfz1GQ/v-deo.html This is a single debate and it has twice the likes just because of animal crossing.
Here's what I can gather about everything in this case: -The crime scene was set up, though there was alot of "Fabricated Evidence". It is unclear what has and hasn't been deducted as fabricated, but here is all that has been seen in the body discovery video and through the truth bullets: -The murder occurred in the Resident Service's Building. It was locked all morning. -A blood-smeared computer, still running. The smear extends to the table it sits on. -Resetti's pickax, with a blood-stain in the shape of a paw print, and a pool of blood under it. (This could be a fabricated murder weapon, due to the clean points of the blade) -Broken glass with a pool of whisky under it, which extends from a dresser to the floor. This was likely formally a glass of wine. -Blood trail on the floor. a wide one leads to Resetti's corpse, and some paw prints lead out to the right. (If the paw print on the pickax is fabricated, then these paw prints likely are too) -Resetti's corpse. He has a large wound on the right side of his head. -Glass of whisky. Ice cold at the scene of the crime. -Closet key. Used for the closet at the scene of the crime, owned by Isabelle. -Nook File #1. Though we don't see it, this likely contains most information about Resetti's death, besides things crucial to the case, like time of death and what killed him. (note that mildly-psychotic-catman Rover said "bash his brains in", implying that people currently believe that the murder weapon was blunt.) -The goal of this debate, at least what Villager was trying to find out, was Resetti's time of death, last night or today. It appears that, because of the glass of wine that contained ice in it, that Resetti was killed moments before his body was discovered, or that the killer (or some third party) returned to the scene of the crime or discovered the body before anyone else. This information helps see which alibi's are relevant. Whoever has an alibi for not being there this morning means that they are not this person. -Most of the furry jury members believe that Isabelle is the killer, due to her being the only one with the closet key. This is relevant because it is believed that Resetti was kept in the closet overnight, to set up a fake crime scene and give the killer an alibi. She also didn't go to the resident services building that day for an unknown reason.
That's correct. It's impossible to solve this case without access to all of the evidence like in the game. You've done a phenomenal job compiling everything regardless; very impressive! Working hard on the next video, hope it sheds light on some of lingering questions.

@@DANNY1TDM I'm not sure if this is a joke(though, using common sense, it's likely *not* to be one, so sorry if I'm mistaking your confusion for comedy), but seeing this made me laugh. I'd never considered how Danganronpa or its characters would look from an outsider's perspective Incase you *are* genuine, "Komaeda" is the surname of a "Nagito Komaeda", who first makes his appearance in "Super Danganronpa 2:Goodbye Despair" as the "Ultimate Lucky Student". I refuse to spoil anything, but let's just say Komaeda has a... _quirk_ or two about him The "Kokichi" being mentioned - Kokichi Oma, or Kokichi Ouma, depending on preference. He is the "Ultimate Supreme Leader", if I'm not mistaken, and appears in "Danganronpa V3:Killing Harmony". He has... _similar quirks_ to Komaeda... Whether you'll find these characters to be fun or not(assuming you'll actually check out the series) is up to your preference, but looking at Rover's face, I'm sure you can get an idea of what exactly Komaeda's and Kokichi's _quirks_ are :)

This all started three days ago when Tom Nook gathered us at the beach to give us our next motive. We were all wary at first, but, ultimately, the tanuki made an offer we couldn't refuse: he gave us each a recent picture of a current family member or friend. We all panicked. In each of our hearts, Tom Nook planted a renewed need to get off this deserted island. Most of our pictures were of our families in despair-Isabelle, your picture was blank, yet you were wondering what happened to Digby. People thought you were involved in this case for that reason alone, but that wasn't true at all. In fact, it was a certain someone whose picture we all should've been paying attention to. And that person was the culprit's would-be accomplice, who drived them to commit murder. The culprit's lure was simple: invite the victim, Tortimer, over to talk about the motive picture in private. This wasn't hard to do: Tortimer had personally offered to be anyone's "therapist" around the campfire. The old man really had changed the last few days... The culprit invited Tortimer inside after dinner, and offered him a drink. But what Tortimer didn't know was that it was laced. You see, according to both Rover and Sable, Gracie's house was still open for a short time after the last trial. It seems Tom Nook forgot to lock it down like normal. While many of us were unaware, it created the perfect opportunity for the culprit to sneak in, and steal some of her makeup, just in case. We already know from before that her makeup has harmful properties when ingested: namely, throwing up, and eventually falling unconcious if given in large amounts. It has no discernable taste, either, making it extra dangerous. *This* was the weird substance we found under the culprit's nails. This also explains why the culprit offered to be on cooking duty yesterday too, but I'll get back to that. Anyways, once Tortimer consumed the laced tea, his fate was sealed just a few minutes into the conversation. Once he started hacking up, the culprit took the nearby lamp and smashed it on his head, killing him instantly. The hammer in the culprit's jacket likely was a backup, but, otherwise, the culprit wanted to make the case as open and shut as possible. That's all there is to it. We were all trying to figure out the logic behind the culprit's actions, because evidence of tampering and outside involvement were everywhere. Rover's spare shirt, a piece of ribbon from Phyllis, Isabelle's papers she said she dropped... None of it was natural or fitting for the crime scene. The reason so much evidence was hastily planted was because half of this crime wasn't meant to take place in the way it was. They were all red herrings planted by the partner after the murder. This is why I'm bringing up the motive now: it's too integral to the case to ignore. The partner's picture was of a certain relative, who now seemed to be on their death bed. Despite the culprit's partner showing his distaste for this particular animal, it's obvious to everyone how much they wanted to make up with them. The culprit must have realized that this may have been their partner's last chance to get off the island, if they were ever going to reconnect with that relative. Booker, you spotted the culprit and partner meeting up two days ago; normally, that's typical for them, but you said something seemed off when the partner left. I believe that's because the culprit told their partner a plan they couldn't believe... That the partner should murder their best friend. They've already admitted as such. But they couldn't follow through. The culprit must have spotted you at some point, and realized you were a big issue. You've been on guard duty every night, in sickness and health, so they must have poisoned the fish they served to you. And while they had to wait for Tortimer, not knowing if he would still come over if he got sick, they knew you would try to tough it out, and eventually cave in. While you were "distracted", that's when the partner must have come into the culprit's house, and saw the murder. We all know that the culprit's biggest fear was being killed, execution or otherwise. They knew their partner knew that, so they blackmailed them: to be specific, they killed Tortimer to goad their partner into giving them a merciful murder. And we know the setup already. First, they would insert fishing hooks into their lips to make sure no one could hear them scream or beg for their life. Then, they took their fishing harpoon, and stuffed it between two couch cushions...and slammed their guts right into it via a push. But to us, it would make it look like a suicide, that he walked right into it. The culprit wanted to trick us into assuming their partner had nothing to do with the crime, allowing them to escape the island unharmed. But their plan failed. Even after seeing that they had become the blackened, their partner still refused to participate in the murder-suicide scheme. The blackmail of a mercy kill wasn't enough. Even now, the partner claims they murdered someone. But that's a lie. The culprit went through with the plan, and killed himself anyways. But we all know how fearful they had become of dying...and that's where the last piece of evidence comes in. The butterfly doormat, which was easy to slip on. As Isabelle showed, even a single wrong step would send you flying. If it wasn't for the blood drag marks, and Isabelle's little demonstration, there's no way we would have been able to tell that this *wasn't* related to the suicide. And there's no way the partner slipped on the mat either: after all, they were the one who gave it to the culprit as a gift. Instead, the culprit set it up so they would trip and fall...right onto the harpoon. The partner, after finding whatever trash or hung up clothing he could find on the island, must have snuck back into the culprit's house and planted it all to confuse us on what really took place last night. Even now, they don't want to admit what happened, or why! I'm sorry, but you can't hide the truth anymore... You are the reason the culprit, C.J., the Ultimate Angler went so far! Flick, the Ultimate Bug Catcher!
Ok I just want to ask a simple question. I think this looks amazing and I would like to know if it will be continued? No pressure or anything. Also personally I’m not saying to make a whole danganronpa game wide story out of it, just this trial.
Hey, thanks for asking. Yes, I planned on at the very least concluding this chapter with an execution video. I was just trying to absorb feedback as comments rolled in before I made any decisions. I wanted to know if people wanted slightly more context as to who the Blackened was with another part of the trial before a dedicated execution video. I'll post an update in the near future on my community tab with way more details. Thanks again for your question. I'm sorry I've gone kindof quiet; i'm intimidated by all these comments xD *EDIT:* I've posted an FAQ on my community page: ua-cam.com/users/postUgydM6a86M7q3sZoh1h4AaABCQ
@@ArbiterKen Thank you for answering and it's fine. I think people seem interesting in this trial. But do as you wish and I look forward to seeing more.
My guess on the blackened: Phyllis. She just fits here. Who else takes night shifts to set up a crime scene and probably drinks her nights away? Plus, she had motive because of her sister Pelly and her unrequited love Pete. If she doesn't leave this island quick, there will be no one to stir up drama in the city plaza, no one to be cranky during night shifts at the mailing office, and no one to be there for Pelly in her youthful years. Phyllis realized that her only chance to get out of here would be to kill someone she was likely annoyed with anyways; Resetti. Phyllis isn't the most wholesome person to exist within the animal crossing universe, but she sure has a heart of gold according to her sister. Revealing that truth, exposing that motive is what will make the blackened slip during her trial.
Mm. But the whiskey glass calls the timing into question. Remember, there were ice cubes in the glass when it was first found, meaning it hadn't been there long. That means that Resetti's corpse was most likely placed that morning, not long before it was discovered.
@@wandererwerewolf477 But that leaves a question. Was it Resetti who drank the whiskey? Or was it the murderer? I'm assuming not everyone in the court room drinks, so if the glass belonged to the killer, then some people would be innocent. But if Resetti was the one drinking, that would leave an opening for anyone to kill him.
I'll be honest here. When the Villager said "NO THAT'S WRONG" and when Rover basically became that lying roach. It filled me with despair. Also with that Raymond spirte... Raymond must be Byakuya.
Villager: There's something Bothering me about that Whishkey Glass Mortimer: How early she was drinking it? Villager: .... *Skips that* HAH, That was great
danganronpa v1 case 2 spoilers: imagine if flick and cj became buddies, and then it turns out one of them (for example, flick) turns out to be the killer and cj is absolutely devastated. just like with mondo and taka.
NOOOO ;-; his motive would probably be something along the lines of he found out someone (Rover) was planning to kill CJ and tried to kill them instead, but miscalculated (Kokichi clause) and ended up accidentally killing someone else.
...Then CJ gets killed by Katrina, who had manipulated someone else into killing him before finally killing them herself. Yeah, gotta make chapter 3 as bad as possible
This is a crossover I never expected to see and I absolutely adore it, now I want to see the whole trial. Also, rival/antagonist Rover is just perfect, I loved that spooky side of him in this
A thought: Raymond is the only one here who is a regular villager, and not an NPC. I don't expect you to make a full game's worth of story for this little crossover, but if there was one character here who could be the mastermind... 🤔🤔🤔
Raymond would be a terrible choice for the mastermind BECAUSE he's the odd one out. The mastermind would have to be someone that isn't obviously different.
I've been a big Danganronpa fan for years, and one of my friends plays Animal Crossing a lot, so I have just enough passing knowledge of the series to be able to absolutely fucking love this. I'm just upset I can't show it to more people who will be able to fully appreciate how good this is. I'm looking up more Animal Crossing stuff just so I can get the references even more. Said friend I have also plays Danganronpa and I showed this to him and he 100% appreciated it. Love all the tidbits, the small jokes and references in the white noise, the comedic timing for some lines that feels so Danganronpa-esque, that fucking Rover sprite, that fucking *Villager* cut in, the sprites you've made for all of them! It's all glorious. I just wish I knew literally ANYONE else who fits into this hyper-specific niche of playing both Danganronpa and Animal Crossing just so I can make them faun over this. I would love to see more. As much as you're comfortable making. Also after my Animal Crossing lore dive I'm tickled by the fact that Raymond is the only non-special villager NPC in this lineup. Makes complete sense that Raymond has managed to elevate himself to this status.
I love this so much! I'm not an AC fan but I know of it and I am a huge DR fan, and I must say the dialogue is on point for DR, and the art is great too! Fantastic job on this and God bless!
This is ridiculously good holy crap. This seriously looks perfect. I'd love to play this if this became an actual fangan. _-Tho that Villager "No That's Wrong!" sprite is so gosh darn cursed-_

@@DANNY1TDM I'm not sure if this is a joke(though, using common sense, it's likely *not* to be one, so sorry if I'm mistaking your confusion for comedy), but seeing this made me laugh. I'd never considered how Danganronpa or its characters would look from an outsider's perspective
Incase you *are* genuine, "Komaeda" is the surname of a "Nagito Komaeda", who first makes his appearance in "Super Danganronpa 2:Goodbye Despair" as the "Ultimate Lucky Student". I refuse to spoil anything, but let's just say Komaeda has a... _quirk_ or two about him
The "Kokichi" being mentioned - Kokichi Oma, or Kokichi Ouma, depending on preference.

Why does this only have 5 likes-
This all started three days ago when Tom Nook gathered us at the beach to give us our next motive.

I cannot begin to tell you just how willing I would be to buy this as a full game. I love everything about it.
That means that Resetti's corpse was most likely placed that morning, not long before it was discovered.
oh wow
@@wandererwerewolf477 BREAK!
That's some insight , maybe I should call you shuichi?
@@wandererwerewolf477 But that leaves a question. Was it Resetti who drank the whiskey? Or was it the murderer? I'm assuming not everyone in the court room drinks, so if the glass belonged to the killer, then some people would be innocent. But if Resetti was the one drinking, that would leave an opening for anyone to kill him.
I’m actually stunned that you’ve made this, there’d be a HUGE audience for a full series of this

Raymond would be a terrible choice for the mastermind BECAUSE he's the odd one out. The mastermind would have to be someone that isn't obviously different.

It's all glorious.
