    Wow, the vet was awesome, such a lovely gentle guy. He did a great job with her cut, that was such a difficult place to stitch. I hope she heals quickly bless her. ❤
    The lame pregnant mare, she’s going to be a tough one. Is she foundered, or is it arthritis? Poor girl. Thank you so much for rescuing and loving those beautiful babies. You guys are just awesome 🙌. Love you guys so much. ❤🙏🏻

    Now this was incredible! The wound on the mares hoof was just horrific! Did you ever figure out what she could have done that on?? The vet was amazing! Can’t say I’ve ever had a vet that looked like a mountain man before! I like him! He was very caring and aware how painful this wound is. And the horse was wonderful! I guess being sedated was a key in keeping her calm. But still, she didn’t seem to be overwhelmed and panicked. Great video! Can’t wait to see how she does in the coming months! ❤️❤️❤️

    It is so hard to see these Amish horses going through slaughter house sales... I have seen the other side of it at the sales where the Amish are bidding on these horses, when they are young, healthy and going for $10,000-$100,000. Then to be used up and cast out, as though they have no worth is horrible. Thank you Pony Tales for saving the ones you can.

    Just a suggestion, you might want to buy some of the sprayers that hair stylist use that send a constant stream/mist. It will save some time and energy using the original bottle. Just make sure you label them well.
    I used to have an all white horse named Magic. He had belonged to John Denver. I had him in 2006-2008 and he was 18 then.

    • @claudiadickerman4218
      @claudiadickerman4218 8 місяців тому +4

      Yes on the sprayers, not sure I know the exact ones you speak of but I have seen some that are like atomizers where you can widen or narrow down the spray field and they are just about totally quiet. They say that you also save more of the product. Fly spray is stinky and I have seen horses that won't let a regular hand pump spray bottle near them, but stand so much more quiet with the silent atomizer do hickie!

    That was extremely interesting to watch the vet suture her like that. You ladies did a great job of keeping calm. If my horse was squirting blood like that, I would be a nervous, crying wreck, which is exactly what an injured horse does NOT need since they pick up on your emotions. I learned this very early thankfully and only wished others would too as there would be a lot less fear of them and a better understanding of them as well.

I worry for you all the time because some things just need the muscles of guys. How wonderful that you saved so many, and a few of them NEED you guys. I feel bad for the mare who is so sore on her fronts, and you say she is in foal?! Hope something can be done for her so she can have and raise that baby without having to suffer to do so. The big draft, wow, what the heck, wonder how she did that?! I wonder why the stocks were not used to help her; not being critical, just wondering . I don't believe I recognize this Vet....good you were able to get a vet out there right away.

    As for the Belgian injuring herself, gotta love horses and their impeccable timing. We have a mare at my barn that colicked just as the barn owner left for a mini vacation. It wasn't fun making the call to her, but in the end, the mare is still here, pigging out.

    Just a suggestion. If your mount tries to leave before you're settled in the saddle, make them walk a couple tight circles, then try again. They will quickly learn to stand until asked to move out. May not be an issue for your people, but potential adopters may not be so young and limber😅😅.
