It's hard to see in the video but, in the top left corner, there is a combinator. This combinator is just a timer counting from 1 to 7 in a loop. The belts after the splitters are only allowed to move when the counter hits 7. So, basically, they run at 1/7 their normal speed. When we combine 7 belts running at 1/7 speed we get a full belt evenly distributed. @@SpateOfFire1 but there are 2 lanes on the belt. So every 7 tics 2 items go forward.... and splitted on splitter, so it is 1 per belt, ok that makes sens
There's a mode I invented that's simpler than that that supports 16 formulas at a minimum, even up to more than a thousand if you want with 1 tenth of what you're using and no filters or programming just tapes and robotic arms and I use it in the space exploration mod
This is a memorizing and beautiful thing to look at. thanks for posting. It is INFURIATING that you do not include the full link in the description. Like it is actually meaner to put half the link there than to say nothing at all. I am interested in learning about the circuit that drives this monstrosity, but you are telling me to F-Off, or go on a 20 minute tangent search to find this. Thumbs up in my heart for the really cool work. Thumbs down on the UA-cam video for the half-link. If you post the full link, I will change to thumbs up, but you gotta reply to this comment so I know to check.
Yeah sorry about that. Apparently you need to send a proof of identity to UA-cam otherwise they truncate the links in the video description.. Should be fixed now.
@@SpateOfFire1 I understand and respect that the site makes it difficult. The cool part here is with your edit and reply, this went from a thumbs down to a "I wish there were extra thumbs up buttons for me to press."
What an idiotic take. This isn't even a complicated circuit, but if you weren't such a baby assuming that he's "telling you to fuck off" then maybe you'd be able to make the leap of fate to learn how a memory cell works by googling the factorio wiki.
The belt cannot be overflown because each science pack is limited to max 1/7th of a belt. For instance in the video I research 'flying robot speed' which does not require military science packs. They stay on the belt but that's it 🙂 Same thing if a science pack is missing: there is going to be empty spots on the belt unused by the other science packs.
@@MattWyndham this video predate SA and is made in 1.1. It does not account for spoilage but with 2.0 making a sushi belt is way easier and does not need anything as complicated as this.

Круто, но когда в исследовании участвуют не все виды колб, то лента забьётся, поэтому следовало бы сделать круговорот обратно к сундукам
how is that evenly distributed on belt? or how it doing proportions of different packs?

@@SpateOfFire1does this work consistently? I mean, i think splitter can f*ck up some timings and everything will stuck at some point....
@@alexey_burkov It has been running in a sandbox for 10+ hours, so I guess it is fine. But feel free to check by yourself with the blueprint 🙂

awesome job!
If you do a research that doesn't use all 7 sciences it will break right?

For each science there is a high priority sink.
