This drive starts at Bagby Street in Downtown Houston and then follows Westheimer Road until where it ends 19 miles later at Westpark Tollroad.
East of Bagby Street the road changes its name to Elgin. It cuts through many different types of neighborhoods.
Parts of the 1998 Wes Anderson Film Rushmore were filmed along Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas.

    📸 Cameras:
    ---------------------------------------------------
I get a lot of questions about the cameras I use. Here are my main cameras:
    • [GoPro Hero 11](amzn.to/3q8Fpzw)
This is the most durable camera. It withstands the elements and can go places other cameras can’t. There are so many accessories available for GoPro cameras which makes them endlessly customizable and versatile.
    • [DJI Pocket 2](amzn.to/3rLGGwT)
This little handheld camera is very easy to pack and carry with you because of its size.
    🔋 Other useful tech:

This brought back memories!! I used to stay on Westheimer and loved the fact that almost everything was like 5 mins away. I just didn't like the drive home traffic.

I love your videos. The Westheimer Rd drive is my favorite and I miss driving it, you’re my eyes to places that I miss driving to, since dialysis has me confined to only near my house in Galveston County

The sprawl and traffic remind me of Los Angeles. I love the palm trees on some stretches of Westheimer. They've gotten much taller since I was there the last time, quite a few years ago. Much of the area is pine forest, though (mainly north of Westheimer).

too much traffic! Houston used to be the Lick! Now, it's a crowded city with too much crime. I lived there for 10 years. I thought about returning but if I do, it will be to Spring, TX, North of Houston off 45. thanks for the memories... Cheers.

I love Houston but grew tired of the city life not because of crime, just because I wanted to live in the suburbs. My job is still in the Texas Medical Center, that won’t change until I retire

Notice the potholes and the poor road conditions. Houstonian’s cars are always torn up.

Depends on which stretch of road. Most of the road in this video was in good condition. Toward the beginning of the video, it was like you said.
