Ok fact checkin Hannah: Important to note that Finn is the first former student to come back and help with the Glee club and Blaine is NOT from Vocal Adrenaline! Blaine is from an all boys school called Dalton Academy that Kurt briefly attended and then they both went to McKinley. Blaine was part of a musical group called the Warblers, who were not a classic Glee club but instead an acappella group
But ALSO Wade Unique Adams IS a transfer from Vocal Adrenaline in season 4!!! And technically Sunshine Corazon goes the other way in season two lmao And for bonus points I think Scott deserved the Mercedes comes back as coach point bc she comes back to mentor the glee club SO often and one of the girls does take over as coach of the Cheerios no???
Mike's Mic would obviously be fabulous, but I also think Jenny Nicolson could be a fun person to do the Vampire Diaries with! That show is absolutely insane, so it would be interesting to see how close you get from the pilot. Could also invite Friendly Space Ninja on, as he's done videos on lots of TV shows so there's lots of options there!

I swear 3 of his 5 most spoken to people and characters are Dodgey older guy character, horrible tough guy (played by a child crime dude) and then an abusive cheerleader (who was a domestic abuser), creepy narcasitic religious girl that is insane(played by someone who is horrible and cant read) and then someone who cheated on him, thank god that Dian Agron seems nice. And to be fair Matthew Morrison seems like an okay guy that just did his job and didnt really hang out and still doesnt hang out with them. Also Sam and the actor of Sam was very likable. And the teacher love intrest was annoying and weird, but the actress seems lovely. i assume some others arnt monsters like the 2 no longer with us were and sadly leah michele who is with us, is.
@@jgetbusy the guy with the mohawk in the show had like hard drives full of child porn and when he got arrested. He got ridducled by the media and on social media and killed himself. And then after he died people were upset and shouted on social media how he they lost an amazing talented person because people called him names on the internet and such. Same with Nia Rivera. She was a domestic abuser and got her kid taken off her and was only allowed to see him part time. Took the kid out on a boat during COVID and then the kid was found almost dead on the boat and then a few years later they found her body dead in the water. And people said she was such a great and loving person. Just because they had some crazy obsession with glee and the characters, they never accepted the actors were criminals. Also Blake Jennar on the show domestic abuse Super girl actress Mellisa Benoist on the show. They got married and any day she had a scene with someone else on the show apparently he would threaten and abuse her because of it. So she tried to not have scenes with other actors that weren't group scenes and such. That last one just came to mind. Pretty sure there were other attrocities from that show too. It's insane

lol yea Heroes is a funny one to do because the writer's strike made the plot go totally nuts, and there is a ton of stuff wikipedia isn't mentioning, like Mohinder giving himself powers through a Cronenberg impersonation, and Claire's dad living a double life and working for a secret agency that pairs a human with a powered person to go on assignments... and honestly that's not even the weird stuff... Also, the expert didn't know what Pete can do! He's the main dude!!! He's got the inverse of Sylar's powers, once he has met someone he can think of how they make him feel and pull out their power... he blew up because he accidentally stole a power he couldn't control, kinda like Rogue in the X-Men@@niteblooms
the fact that Sylar isn't established in the first episode is probably the funniest part of the Heroes section. trying to predict what happens in the rest of the show when the main villain hasn't been (fully) introduced is hilarious. poor scott
Well, Sylar was originally meant to die in season one IIRC. They wanted to have completely new threats each season. Or rather each... book... chapter? I need to look up what they were called. They also had an ambitious plan to not limit these story arcs to the classical season structure. And then the writers' strike happened, and junks of season two were rewritten... I still don't get how that all fits together.

I just want to clarify on the Vocal Adrenaline hypothesis because there is someone really important they missed. While yes, Blaine does transfer from a rival school, he's from Dalton Academy. Unique, however, transfers over specifically from Vocal Adrenaline. Had to say something cause she was one of my faves 😅

Glee fan here with some corrections! (I love this video a lot btw) - Finn comes and teaches at the school (prior to him in real life having to back to rehab before passing away the day after getting out of rehab) - also regarding Finn, he is special by just being a normal good guy. He is the glue that heals and losing him was so heartbreaking to watch. I still cry every time I watch Glee because watching Cory and Naya both being so full of life and love and talent is just so beautiful to watch. Obviously rip to the guy who played Puck even though the stuff we found out after he passed made his story line creepy af - Darren Criss' character Blaine was from a different rival school, the Warblers, but Jonathan Groff's character Jessie St James did for a brief time go to McKinley after being the star of Vocal Adrenaline Overall great predictions! Glee is a wacky show that goes in so many directions but I definitely recommend it
Minor note about the prediction for the student transferring. The character she mentioned wasn't actually at that school, he went to a private school and transferred. HOWEVER, one of Vocal Adrenaline's members, Jesse St. James, does transfer to the school as a double agent and at the end he marries Rachel.
The first season (specifically), of Heroes, is one of the best seasons of television ever. It genuinely had the nation's attebtion when it came out. "Save the cheerleader, save the world." Was one of the most spoken quotes from tv in like 2006.

@@chrishansen8119 Agreed. Having two extremely powerful people who have multiple powers fighting each other and it basically comes down to a fist fight with a metal poll added in was just sad. I think in season 3, they did give us a more proper fight between the two where they were able to use multiple powers.
In regard to the students coming back as teachers, Scott was more right than clarified. Rachel and Kurt do come back to take on the Glee club. Finn was the assistant helper after his break up with Rachel. Plus, when Will went on a teacher mission, Finn was the leader. He made the decision to go to college to be a teacher and that was how the show was supposed to end. Sam ended up being the new Glee club leader by the end. The other main cast like Mercedes would come back occasionally to help assist the club before competitions. So lots of come backs. Blaine, the season 2 guy from the rival school, actually came from the Warblers, not Vocal Adrenaline. Wade (Unique) Adams was a character from Vocal Adrenaline that became a main cast member that transferred. The other that did transfer was a guest star (Jonathon Groff) named Jesse. He dated Rachel as a ploy to mess with the competition and to help his director find out more about her, as she was her bio mom (Rachel was adopted at birth). But then he goes back to Vocal Adrenaline and wins them the competition for that season. Sue became a stand in principal for awhile, then blackmailed the original principal or went to the board (idr) to become the actual principal. Eventually she became Vice President of the US.
Actual Heroes expert here weighing in on Scotts guesses 1) Correct!, they do team up to stop the explosion at the end of season 1 but its more of a spur of the moment thing. Nikki is one of the most hesitant. But she never learns to control her power. Grade: B+ 2) Wrong! they didnt get their powers from a cosmic shift and it is pretty random who has the powers. If you consider "The Company" the government though, the Gov is the bad Guy. Grade: D 3) Correct!, Issaic does OD and he does die, but not from the OD. His power is used by another good guy to help the heroes and take his place. Mohinder part is wrong though. Grade: B+ 4) Wrong!, sorry nothing more to add here Grade: F 5) Correct! He works for "The Company" which is basically the gov stand in. He doesnt *die* for claire but he does sacrifice himself for her by going to jail, betraying ppl to save her etc. nailed this basically Grade: A 6) Correct! His bro does get assassinated while spilling secrets on live tv. He was also working for the bad guys at times. its a little more complicated but basically right. Grade: B 7) Correct! Hiro is the one who gets the killing blow on the season villian. His friend does die and he becomes more cynical over time but thats in an alternate timeline that we spend a lot of time in. His friend also gets powers. Grade: A *Overall you did great Scott. you had most of the broad strokes and there were just a lot of sutble or minor differences for most of your guesses.*

I’m surprised they didn’t talk more about Peter, as he is a MAIN character and drives many points of the show. He is also in This is Us so I figured Scott may talk about him more and recognize him as being more important.
ok i may be remembering this wrong. for some reason i have a memory that the heroes' parents started a group and gained the powers but one of them became mad and started killing them one by one and made them scared, so they transferred the powers to their kids and pretended like it never happened.
Technically in heroes reborn or whatever it's called, Claire does die from childbirth after her son (who she was giving birth to at the time) takes her powers

I like that Scott’s assumption that Claire’s dad works for the government is just based off the fact that he wears a suit. Because obviously only people who work for the government wear suits.
to be fair, its an old show, they’d definitely use a trope like that also MIB really did a number on people’s perception of the FBI and the Government lol
Heroes was a good show, but it had a lot of tropes in it. Mysterious man in a suit following one of the characters around? Yeah, government agent, spy, or assassin.
The main thing anyone needs to know when coming to watch Glee, it's in that "everyone here is a bad person" category for real - if you come into it aware of that, then the show is much more enjoyable
For real! This is not to say the show wasn’t immune to totally valid criticism-especially about racism. Looking back, the show is very much of its time, where almost everyone is some degree of comically horrible by design.
@@specialj67 Rewatching it this month, i do gotta say I remember Finnchel being less toxic and Finn being not as.......man. The scene were hes a dick to Quinn when shes on a wheelchair was very creepy. Sue Sylvester on the other hand feels like one of the only genuinely good people, shes a bit fucked in the head but she always knows when to stop. Same with Santana. Except when they wanan do a ''issue of the week'' and Santana has to bully people in an out of character way.
Scott actually got a ton of additional points for Heroes from just season 1 alone! The painter doesn't die from an OD, but he does OD in season 1 and then die to Sylar in season 1, so technically his phrasing is correct. Claire's dad is sort of a bad guy that becomes a good guy and he does go rogue from his company to protect his daughter. He doesn't sacrifice his life, but he does sacrifice his memories by sending her away and wiping his own memory so they can't find her. Although he always knew his daughter had powers. Pete's brother is briefly targeted for assassination (Nicki is hired to kill him by Linderman) and he does briefly become a bad guy because he wants to be president, and only changes his mind at the end of season 1 when he flies Peter up. Claire does sort of use her healing powers to bring someone back to life. When Peter Patrelli saves her he "dies", and then Claire comes to check on him and he absorbs her powers (that's his power) and heals himself back to life. A little different but pretty close to what was guessed. Ando (Hiro's friend) actually does die and Hiro does become cynical and angry over it, but only in an alternate timeline. This is shown when Hiro and Ando get stuck in the future, but future Hiro goes back in time to prevent this timeline. I just watched season 1 these past few weeks (prompted by the same Drew Gooden video). I haven't seen anything past that, but was impressed with how many of these guesses applied to season 1.

If not, season 2+3 spoilers) Yeah I was thinking some of these too, plus a bit later Claire kinda does die to Sylar but her healing factor is so buff that having her power taken doesn't kill her or ever lose it so she does kinda give her power too, tho definitely unwillingly. (I think there was another plotline where another immortal power type ended up losing his powers and died tho? But again unwillingly and he turned evil?) Also other things drew didn't touch on in the video is he's right on the cosmic event triggering the powers, and that it's not random (it's genetic), and there's probably truth to there being psychological reasoning behind what powers they get too. He got the team thing wrong cuz they're always their own people and stories that sometimes intertwine and often aren't always the 'good' guys. Nathan kinda goes back and forth becoming a 'good' or 'bad' guy quite often but I don't think he stays good, and I think he dies at the end of season 3 and gets replaced by Sylar?(I stopped watching after that) but I assume that happened because he did a bad again? I can't remember on that one so I could be wrong. There is a conspiracy about Mohinder's dad, something about Mohinder's dead sister that could've been cured if they researched the superpower thing quicker or something? And that's why he was tracking them to begin with. And more conspiracy about a lot of the other characters parents as well like their generation being their own weird group of awakened and that tying into the organisation tracking them? Can't remember clearly on that either tho, Tbh I forgot most of these plot points being season 1 only, that's wild how none of those are season 2+ I definitely need to be fact checked on most of these tho too, what I remember is mostly weird bits that have no relevance. The eclipse is important and the symbol was their DNA, mostly everyone's morally grey AF, and weirdly the goodest of characters causes more harm than some eviler ones, but accidentally and because he messes up while being well-meaning. like causing that other immortal to turn evil a few hundred years ago It's a whole mess of weird twists and definitely some plotholes and retcons
what is so bittersweet about finns character (which wasn’t answered around the 15 minute mark) is that he doesn’t grow up to be a touring superstar. his arc is full of doubt and confusion about what he wants to be and what he’s good at which i always thought was so reassuring as a teen who was also scared and clueless. with the little time he had left on the show finns story was handled with a realism that was so beautifully mundane. we love u Cory
A big reason that Heroes is such a hard show for Scoot to predict is probably because the second half of the series was produced during the writers' strike at the time. So it just spiraled into absurd plotlines, very unpredictable mishmashes of introducing new characters and flimsy plot threads. So yeah, he probably did alright.
i appreciate hannah’s assistance, but she’s right when she said mikes mic is THEE glee expert. his deep dives are something i’ve watched at least 10 times each. 😅 i would die if he crossed over more into collab videos, his one with trin lovell are great.

I love that the setup is always to have one guest who is pretty knowledgeable about the show, and can usually say yes or no to a theory without having to look it up, and another who is learning along with Scott.
Finn's first song, "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon, is simply beautiful. Cory Monteith (who played Finn) had so much talent and was truly special.
I watched Glee as it premiered. It was a sheer guilty pleasure for me and a couple of choir friends of mine. It was. Everything. SO hearing Scott go through simply the Pilot and hearing his predictions had me dying
My dad introduced Heroes to me at a young age and then I rewatched it a few times since then❤ I remember the show very well, so I’ll tell you how well you did as well 26:47 : Drew was right in saying that everyone kind of comes together but not at once. They partner up a few times, and in season 3 we do have “the good guys” and “the bad guys”. Nikki *does* die in season 2, but her actress comes back to play Nikki’s sister who has ice powers 28:49 I feel like these people were just picked at random, they never really explain why they got them. But yeah, the government doesn’t have a big role initially. However in season 3, there’s a group of non-super people in “Building 26” in DC with Nathan. They try to take down the supers but ultimately fail. 29:34 side note: Isaac was my favorite character in season 1, he was gone too soon😭 He doesn’t OD, Sylar kills him. Peter’s ability is absorbing other people’s powers when close to them (similar to Sylar, but not killing them). Peter is able to finish a few of Isaac’s paintings in season 1. Mohinder doesn’t have the ability to paint the future, but develops a serum that can make people have powers. He injects himself and gets super strength, and that plot line is super weird 31:42 Nathan is on the bad guy’s team as the show goes on! He doesn’t wanna tell anyone that he has these powers. In season 3, he does get shot when almost telling the press about people with abilities, and Sylar does end up killing him in the S3 finale 35:00 Hiro does pair up with a few of the supers to stop the bomb from happening. He kills Sylar in season 1, but Sylar obviously comes back in season 2. Ando (Hiro’s friend) never dies, but does get a super power (I don’t remember what it was lol) 35:36 this is technically true! Claire is able to revive Noah (her dad) with her blood, but she never loses her powers
they don't ever really all come together since like, some of them are dead or bad guys at that point :D there's definitely implication that their are bloodlines of these people especially with nathan and peter's mother (and nathan being claire's real dad) but not that that's the _only_ way people are developing powers. yup nothing else on isaac, he just dies :D though Peter's ability gains power through _empathy_ with the target, he doesn't need to be near them physically once he learns to use it / in the other universe agreed, nathan does definitely becomes a morally dark character and the 'good guys' do not like him at times, though Peter also has his emo phase. i can't remember hiro's friends power either, he becomes a security guard for the bad guys and feeds info to the good guys (and eventually meets more of them as shennanigans continue with him.hiro teleporting through space and time) mohinders serum turns him into basically evil spiderman and he's an antoginist for a that arc (and less trusted later because of it) claire does eventually die offscreen before the follow up series heroes reborn. Claire does also reveal powers to the world at the end of season 4, and heroes reborn (what little of it there is) is based on the idea they're now a known factor. Honestly sad the show went so whacky in season 4 and died out, it deserved better (or at least a better ending)
iirc Ando's power was amplify other people powers by touching them, I vaguely remember that he could also use it to shock non-supers but I'm not super sure about that
I will say Heroes was a difficult one to guess. It was one of my favorite shows when it aired but it like my other favorite show (Pushing Daisies) suffered due to the writer's strike.
Oh, man, what I wouldn’t give to see Scott do a watch through of Heroes and give his summary and predictions after each episode. That show had some great moments, but it also went in some weird directions. 😂
as someone who used to be a fan of glee, i would say you more so accurately guessed certain plot points (w/ a few tweaks ofc) (looking back on it now, that's probably part of the point w/ this series lol 💀), however, you were damn close with the original finale tho (i remember you saying rachel would end up becoming a teacher & finn would become successful in the entertainment industry); well, flip the characters around and basically you had it (if i remember correctly, finn was suppose to become a teacher & have his own glee club, rachel was suppose to be a successful broadway actress, then cory suddenly passed away, and the writers had to re-think the finale). but overall, i'd give you more credit
I LOVE heroes. It's my favorite show. Glad to see it on here. Peter is my favorite character on the whole show. Most of the hero guesses were very logical but mostly wrong but I loved watching the guesses. Claire coming up by Peter in season 1 does save his life. This was very fun
There are tons of "darker" shows that would be fun Riverdale, Lost, Once upon a time, 100, Manifest. I would love see Scott try thease... What about the "lighter" shows... Lot of iconic sitcoms there but could there be some special show to try? Maybe some disney channel show like Hannah Montana or Wizards
As a music education major, studying Glee was… traumatic, to say the least. Everything violated almost every ethical standard, and was emotionally irreparable. So many characters need to go to jail, ESPECIALLY Mr. Schuester. LOCK HIS ASS UP! PLEASE!!!
It would be awesome to see this done with Orphan Black, so much happens in that show it might be difficult to accurately predict much but that's half the fun of it
Honestly Drew's interpretation of Scott's 'super team' guess is making the show sound so much more exciting and thought out than it ever was. Actually a lot of Scott's guesses sound like kind of a better show than it ultimately was.
I completely forgot Sylar isn't even in the first episode of Heroes. Its crazy watching Scott make his predictions not even mentioning the main antagonist for an entire series
I love the part about Hiro being a fan favorite because yes, I loved him. He was so adorable and genuinely such a good guy. For Peter, he DOES have abilities, but he has the same type that Sylar has in that he can absorb other people's abilities by touching them (unlike Sylar, he didn't have to kill him). I think something happened to him that resulted in him only being able to have one power at once though.
Spoilers: | | | | Sylar's power is more or less the ability for his brain to understand how extremely complex things work, so he is able to replicate powers by just looking at the part of the brain that activates them. He eventually figures out how to get abilities without cutting people's heads open, but he kept doing it because he liked killing. Peter's original power is genuinely empathic; he only needed to be near someone using their ability, and he would instantly have access to it. Unfortunately, he accidentally absorbs an ability he can't control, hence the "nuke". Nathan and Peter's father, Arthur, has a similar power to Peter's, but rather than copying an ability, it steals it outright instead, but requires physical touch. Arthur later steals Peter's ability, but by injecting the serum (that gave Nathan and eventually Mohinder and Ando their powers), Peter gains a new ability, which is like his old one, but he can only hold one power at a time.
@@AwijoshSun Oh yeah! That's what it is. When we first meet Sylar, he fixes watches and what he does to people to get their powers originally is what he does to watches to figure them out. I remember when Mohinder's father visits him, he is able to tell that the watch is a second or two too fast. Arthur was truly awful.
Regarding Heroes: at best, you could guess the first season finale. After that, they had totally different plot lines that weren't even hinted at in the first season. Even so, I think you hit about 30% of the plot. For Glee, it might be a little easier. Finn actually returned to the school for season 4 to be a student teacher, a mini Schuster if you will, but then he died before the following season. Also, I don't think anyone from Vocal Adrenaline actually came over to McKinley, as Blaine was from a different rival glee club. But I mean, both the wife and the gym coach are gone after season 1, so that led to some changes.

I swear 3 of his 5 most spoken to people and characters are Dodgey older guy character, horrible tough guy (played by a child crime dude) and then an abusive cheerleader (who was a domestic abuser), creepy narcasitic religious girl that is insane(played by someone who is horrible and cant read) and then someone who cheated on him, thank god that Dian Agron seems nice. And to be fair Matthew Morrison seems like an okay guy that just did his job and didnt really hang out and still doesnt hang out with them.
Also Sam and the actor of Sam was very likable. And the teacher love intrest was annoying and weird, but the actress seems lovely. i assume some others arnt monsters like the 2 no longer with us were and sadly leah michele who is with us, is.

And then after he died people were upset and shouted on social media how he they lost an amazing talented person because people called him names on the internet and such.
Same with Nia Rivera. She was a domestic abuser and got her kid taken off her and was only allowed to see him part time. Took the kid out on a boat during COVID and then the kid was found almost dead on the boat and then a few years later they found her body dead in the water. And people said she was such a great and loving person. Just because they had some crazy obsession with glee and the characters, they never accepted the actors were criminals.
Also Blake Jennar on the show domestic abuse Super girl actress Mellisa Benoist on the show. They got married and any day she had a scene with someone else on the show apparently he would threaten and abuse her because of it. So she tried to not have scenes with other actors that weren't group scenes and such.
That last one just came to mind. Pretty sure there were other attrocities from that show too. It's insane

Also, the expert didn't know what Pete can do! He's the main dude!!! He's got the inverse of Sylar's powers, once he has met someone he can think of how they make him feel and pull out their power... he blew up because he accidentally stole a power he couldn't control, kinda like Rogue in the X-Men@@niteblooms

Well, Sylar was originally meant to die in season one IIRC. They wanted to have completely new threats each season. Or rather each... book... chapter? I need to look up what they were called. They also had an ambitious plan to not limit these story arcs to the classical season structure. And then the writers' strike happened, and junks of season two were rewritten... I still don't get how that all fits together.
You should do an episode where you watch only the last episode of a show and have to guess how it started.

Glee fan here with some corrections! (I love this video a lot btw)
- Finn comes and teaches at the school (prior to him in real life having to back to rehab before passing away the day after getting out of rehab)
- also regarding Finn, he is special by just being a normal good guy. He is the glue that heals and losing him was so heartbreaking to watch. I still cry every time I watch Glee because watching Cory and Naya both being so full of life and love and talent is just so beautiful to watch. Obviously rip to the guy who played Puck even though the stuff we found out after he passed made his story line creepy af

Minor note about the prediction for the student transferring. The character she mentioned wasn't actually at that school, he went to a private school and transferred. HOWEVER, one of Vocal Adrenaline's members, Jesse St. James, does transfer to the school as a double agent and at the end he marries Rachel.

The first season (specifically), of Heroes, is one of the best seasons of television ever. It genuinely had the nation's attebtion when it came out.
"Save the cheerleader, save the world." Was one of the most spoken quotes from tv in like 2006.

I think in season 3, they did give us a more proper fight between the two where they were able to use multiple powers.
In regard to the students coming back as teachers, Scott was more right than clarified. Rachel and Kurt do come back to take on the Glee club. Finn was the assistant helper after his break up with Rachel. Plus, when Will went on a teacher mission, Finn was the leader. He made the decision to go to college to be a teacher and that was how the show was supposed to end. Sam ended up being the new Glee club leader by the end. The other main cast like Mercedes would come back occasionally to help assist the club before competitions. So lots of come backs.
Blaine, the season 2 guy from the rival school, actually came from the Warblers, not Vocal Adrenaline. Wade (Unique) Adams was a character from Vocal Adrenaline that became a main cast member that transferred. The other that did transfer was a guest star (Jonathon Groff) named Jesse. He dated Rachel as a ploy to mess with the competition and to help his director find out more about her, as she was her bio mom (Rachel was adopted at birth). But then he goes back to Vocal Adrenaline and wins them the competition for that season.
Sue became a stand in principal for awhile, then blackmailed the original principal or went to the board (idr) to become the actual principal. Eventually she became Vice President of the US.
Unique also transferred from Vocal Adrenaline.

1) Correct!, they do team up to stop the explosion at the end of season 1 but its more of a spur of the moment thing. Nikki is one of the most hesitant. But she never learns to control her power.

2) Wrong! they didnt get their powers from a cosmic shift and it is pretty random who has the powers. If you consider "The Company" the government though, the Gov is the bad Guy.

3) Correct!, Issaic does OD and he does die, but not from the OD. His power is used by another good guy to help the heroes and take his place. Mohinder part is wrong though.

The main thing anyone needs to know when coming to watch Glee, it's in that "everyone here is a bad person" category for real - if you come into it aware of that, then the show is much more enjoyable

The scene were hes a dick to Quinn when shes on a wheelchair was very creepy. Sue Sylvester on the other hand feels like one of the only genuinely good people, shes a bit fucked in the head but she always knows when to stop. Same with Santana. Except when they wanan do a ''issue of the week'' and Santana has to bully people in an out of character way.

The painter doesn't die from an OD, but he does OD in season 1 and then die to Sylar in season 1, so technically his phrasing is correct.
Claire's dad is sort of a bad guy that becomes a good guy and he does go rogue from his company to protect his daughter. He doesn't sacrifice his life, but he does sacrifice his memories by sending her away and wiping his own memory so they can't find her. Although he always knew his daughter had powers.
Pete's brother is briefly targeted for assassination (Nicki is hired to kill him by Linderman) and he does briefly become a bad guy because he wants to be president, and only changes his mind at the end of season 1 when he flies Peter up.
Claire does sort of use her healing powers to bring someone back to life. When Peter Patrelli saves her he "dies", and then Claire comes to check on him and he absorbs her powers (that's his power) and heals himself back to life. A little different but pretty close to what was guessed.
Ando (Hiro's friend) actually does die and Hiro does become cynical and angry over it, but only in an alternate timeline. This is shown when Hiro and Ando get stuck in the future, but future Hiro goes back in time to prevent this timeline.
I just watched season 1 these past few weeks (prompted by the same Drew Gooden video). I haven't seen anything past that, but was impressed with how many of these guesses applied to season 1.

Yeah I was thinking some of these too, plus a bit later Claire kinda does die to Sylar but her healing factor is so buff that having her power taken doesn't kill her or ever lose it so she does kinda give her power too, tho definitely unwillingly.
(I think there was another plotline where another immortal power type ended up losing his powers and died tho? But again unwillingly and he turned evil?)
Also other things drew didn't touch on in the video is he's right on the cosmic event triggering the powers, and that it's not random (it's genetic), and there's probably truth to there being psychological reasoning behind what powers they get too.
He got the team thing wrong cuz they're always their own people and stories that sometimes intertwine and often aren't always the 'good' guys.
Nathan kinda goes back and forth becoming a 'good' or 'bad' guy quite often but I don't think he stays good, and I think he dies at the end of season 3 and gets replaced by Sylar?(I stopped watching after that) but I assume that happened because he did a bad again? I can't remember on that one so I could be wrong.
There is a conspiracy about Mohinder's dad, something about Mohinder's dead sister that could've been cured if they researched the superpower thing quicker or something? And that's why he was tracking them to begin with. And more conspiracy about a lot of the other characters parents as well like their generation being their own weird group of awakened and that tying into the organisation tracking them? Can't remember clearly on that either tho,
Tbh I forgot most of these plot points being season 1 only, that's wild how none of those are season 2+
I definitely need to be fact checked on most of these tho too, what I remember is mostly weird bits that have no relevance. The eclipse is important and the symbol was their DNA, mostly everyone's morally grey AF, and weirdly the goodest of characters causes more harm than some eviler ones, but accidentally and because he messes up while being well-meaning. like causing that other immortal to turn evil a few hundred years ago

what is so bittersweet about finns character (which wasn’t answered around the 15 minute mark) is that he doesn’t grow up to be a touring superstar. his arc is full of doubt and confusion about what he wants to be and what he’s good at which i always thought was so reassuring as a teen who was also scared and clueless. with the little time he had left on the show finns story was handled with a realism that was so beautifully mundane. we love u Cory
A big reason that Heroes is such a hard show for Scoot to predict is probably because the second half of the series was produced during the writers' strike at the time. So it just spiraled into absurd plotlines, very unpredictable mishmashes of introducing new characters and flimsy plot threads. So yeah, he probably did alright.

I love that the setup is always to have one guest who is pretty knowledgeable about the show, and can usually say yes or no to a theory without having to look it up, and another who is learning along with Scott.

I watched Glee as it premiered. It was a sheer guilty pleasure for me and a couple of choir friends of mine. It was. Everything. SO hearing Scott go through simply the Pilot and hearing his predictions had me dying
My dad introduced Heroes to me at a young age and then I rewatched it a few times since then❤ I remember the show very well, so I’ll tell you how well you did as well
26:47 : Drew was right in saying that everyone kind of comes together but not at once. They partner up a few times, and in season 3 we do have “the good guys” and “the bad guys”. Nikki *does* die in season 2, but her actress comes back to play Nikki’s sister who has ice powers

However in season 3, there’s a group of non-super people in “Building 26” in DC with Nathan. They try to take down the supers but ultimately fail.
29:34 side note: Isaac was my favorite character in season 1, he was gone too soon😭 He doesn’t OD, Sylar kills him. Peter’s ability is absorbing other people’s powers when close to them (similar to Sylar, but not killing them). Peter is able to finish a few of Isaac’s paintings in season 1. Mohinder doesn’t have the ability to paint the future, but develops a serum that can make people have powers. He injects himself and gets super strength, and that plot line is super weird
31:42 Nathan is on the bad guy’s team as the show goes on! He doesn’t wanna tell anyone that he has these powers. In season 3, he does get shot when almost telling the press about people with abilities, and Sylar does end up killing him in the S3 finale
35:00 Hiro does pair up with a few of the supers to stop the bomb from happening. He kills Sylar in season 1, but Sylar obviously comes back in season 2. Ando (Hiro’s friend) never dies, but does get a super power (I don’t remember what it was lol)

they don't ever really all come together since like, some of them are dead or bad guys at that point :D
there's definitely implication that their are bloodlines of these people especially with nathan and peter's mother (and nathan being claire's real dad) but not that that's the _only_ way people are developing powers.
yup nothing else on isaac, he just dies :D though Peter's ability gains power through _empathy_ with the target, he doesn't need to be near them physically once he learns to use it / in the other universe
agreed, nathan does definitely becomes a morally dark character and the 'good guys' do not like him at times, though Peter also has his emo phase.
i can't remember hiro's friends power either, he becomes a security guard for the bad guys and feeds info to the good guys (and eventually meets more of them as shennanigans continue with him.hiro teleporting through space and time)
mohinders serum turns him into basically evil spiderman and he's an antoginist for a that arc (and less trusted later because of it)
claire does eventually die offscreen before the follow up series heroes reborn.
Claire does also reveal powers to the world at the end of season 4, and heroes reborn (what little of it there is) is based on the idea they're now a known factor.
Honestly sad the show went so whacky in season 4 and died out, it deserved better (or at least a better ending)
iirc Ando's power was amplify other people powers by touching them, I vaguely remember that he could also use it to shock non-supers but I'm not super sure about that

As an avid fan of the first two seasons and watched the rest of the show out of undeserved hope, I can't blame Drew of not recalling everything.
I will say Heroes was a difficult one to guess. It was one of my favorite shows when it aired but it like my other favorite show (Pushing Daisies) suffered due to the writer's strike.
I still mourn the loss of Pushing Daisies!
Oh, man, what I wouldn’t give to see Scott do a watch through of Heroes and give his summary and predictions after each episode. That show had some great moments, but it also went in some weird directions. 😂
as someone who used to be a fan of glee, i would say you more so accurately guessed certain plot points (w/ a few tweaks ofc) (looking back on it now, that's probably part of the point w/ this series lol 💀), however, you were damn close with the original finale tho (i remember you saying rachel would end up becoming a teacher & finn would become successful in the entertainment industry); well, flip the characters around and basically you had it (if i remember correctly, finn was suppose to become a teacher & have his own glee club, rachel was suppose to be a successful broadway actress, then cory suddenly passed away, and the writers had to re-think the finale). but overall, i'd give you more credit
I LOVE heroes. It's my favorite show. Glad to see it on here. Peter is my favorite character on the whole show. Most of the hero guesses were very logical but mostly wrong but I loved watching the guesses. Claire coming up by Peter in season 1 does save his life. This was very fun
There are tons of "darker" shows that would be fun Riverdale, Lost, Once upon a time, 100, Manifest. I would love see Scott try thease... What about the "lighter" shows... Lot of iconic sitcoms there but could there be some special show to try? Maybe some disney channel show like Hannah Montana or Wizards

As a music education major, studying Glee was… traumatic, to say the least. Everything violated almost every ethical standard, and was emotionally irreparable.

Honestly Drew's interpretation of Scott's 'super team' guess is making the show sound so much more exciting and thought out than it ever was. Actually a lot of Scott's guesses sound like kind of a better show than it ultimately was.
I completely forgot Sylar isn't even in the first episode of Heroes. Its crazy watching Scott make his predictions not even mentioning the main antagonist for an entire series
I love the part about Hiro being a fan favorite because yes, I loved him. He was so adorable and genuinely such a good guy.
For Peter, he DOES have abilities, but he has the same type that Sylar has in that he can absorb other people's abilities by touching them (unlike Sylar, he didn't have to kill him). I think something happened to him that resulted in him only being able to have one power at once though.
The writers realized he was too OP lol

Sylar's power is more or less the ability for his brain to understand how extremely complex things work, so he is able to replicate powers by just looking at the part of the brain that activates them. He eventually figures out how to get abilities without cutting people's heads open, but he kept doing it because he liked killing.
Peter's original power is genuinely empathic; he only needed to be near someone using their ability, and he would instantly have access to it. Unfortunately, he accidentally absorbs an ability he can't control, hence the "nuke".
Nathan and Peter's father, Arthur, has a similar power to Peter's, but rather than copying an ability, it steals it outright instead, but requires physical touch. Arthur later steals Peter's ability, but by injecting the serum (that gave Nathan and eventually Mohinder and Ando their powers), Peter gains a new ability, which is like his old one, but he can only hold one power at a time.
@@AwijoshSun Oh yeah! That's what it is. When we first meet Sylar, he fixes watches and what he does to people to get their powers originally is what he does to watches to figure them out. I remember when Mohinder's father visits him, he is able to tell that the watch is a second or two too fast.

Regarding Heroes: at best, you could guess the first season finale. After that, they had totally different plot lines that weren't even hinted at in the first season. Even so, I think you hit about 30% of the plot.
For Glee, it might be a little easier. Finn actually returned to the school for season 4 to be a student teacher, a mini Schuster if you will, but then he died before the following season. Also, I don't think anyone from Vocal Adrenaline actually came over to McKinley, as Blaine was from a different rival glee club. But I mean, both the wife and the gym coach are gone after season 1, so that led to some changes.
