- Today we are going to be performing the marathon (and slightly boring) task of gathering all of the resources required to make all of the concrete for the mumbo mega base structure. We need around 10 double chests of concrete (as a total guess) so we are going to have to go to town on this one.

I know he knew how big of an achievement getting 100k live concurrent viewers was, but lemme give ya guys a fun fact: the top Just Chatting streamer (which at the time of writing this comment is the most popular category on Twitch) had around 85k viewers an hour in. THIS MAN RIGHT HERE got 100k in less than 30 minutes. For just gathering CONCRETE.

The video has been recommended to me hundreds of times over the last years. And today, it finally struck me: Spending some quality time with my man Mumbo while he is out there enjoying life (2022 summer and autumn hiatus) is just the throwback and comforting company I need right now. Muss u, Mumbo.
Oh gosh, I love the fact that he remembers the fire risk signs in Australia (about 2 hours in). For those who may be wondering, the risk scale is generally “moderate - high - very high - severe - extreme - catastrophic”.

UA-cam streams always get more views than other platforms because way more people use youtube. 5k viewers is already a lot for twitch. Also with the quarantine, everyones at home. Not being a hater btw
I find it funny when creators talk about making "good" content because the reason I watch people's videos is mostly for the creators themselves. A lot of us must feel the same way, because we're all enjoying just listening to Mumbo talk about random stuff while he's gathering sand and gravel.
This is surprisingly nice to have in the background, I crochet and clean while listening to this :)

Hahah, that's the power law distribution: to those who have, more will be given, to those who have not, more will be taken away. It works with most anything involving money, power, or popularity. At this point it would be more difficult for Mumbo to have a stream with less than 50000 viewers, unless he capped it artificially somehow.

As a general rule, you know a project is massive when you start using "double chests" as the unit of measurement. That's when things get scary.

Lol i made a massive glass circle with a diameter of 256 blocks. I think it was around 15 double chests of glass lol

If you just put down the bucket of water at the same level you're mining and stand in the water. It will auto obsidian the lava as you mine the obsidian. It also will fill in the block you're mining as it breaks and doesn't let the block drop in the lava. So basically dig down one obsidian, put the water in that hole, drop down in the water hole and start mining. If lava is under it or beside it, its auto turned into obsidian as long as the water source is at maximum 8 blocks away. It's way quicker than mining the block, dropping the water down then pickin it back up after ever block mined.
