Thanks for going to the trouble and recording the review. Always good to hear someone elses view and experience. It does sound like every other 75L dual zone fridge out there though. The Kings I have is pretty similar, if not the same (although mine is now getting onto 4 years old). What would be helpful is actual measurements - AH drawn each hour with the ambient temperature for that hour and over different common and demanding settings (-18, -18) and (-18, +3). Mine draws 1.6AH when set to -18 on the small side and +3 on the larger bin with an ambient temperature of 28oC. It uses a Secop BD50F compressor. Also, what makes it tough? Even the handles and latches on my Kings look the same. Only difference mine is blue. :) There was something else I wanted to suggest....but I forgot :)
Thanks Benny, yes I admit it is difficult these days to work out what's what with all the badge engineering going on. Also people seem to have no brand loyalty and price reigns supreme. I'm happy to try new products but I do tend to stick with brands if they do right by me. As I've just moved up here I didn't bring my whole set of current testers so if I come across any gear I'll try and do some more testing. I guess for now though I'll be setting up another battery and a dcdc charger to keep this fridge going! Thanks for your comments. Cheers Gary
@@TravelOutbackOz Hi Gary, thanks for replying. I'm a little dubious with brands these days, there are too many "well known brands" that just, as you say, re badge and when the thing fails, tend to find all kinds of excuses not to honour their warranty. Given that, I look for price but only after I've worked out what the actual specs are and inspected it (even the specs can be dubious). Its a lot of work, and once upon a time there was a knowledgeable retailer that actually knew what they were talking about and wanted to protect their reputation, so they tended to give you a couple of good options. Not any more, they pay their staff pittance and few know anything about the products they sell...Sorry, Gary, that grumpy old man syndrome keeps escaping!

Can i ask please if you have ever had trouble with the zones changing or the temps swapping in the dual zones?
Hi, no I haven’t. It is mainly used for town shopping, ie when we had to drive 300km to go shopping. It has worked perfectly so far. Cheers
Thank you very much good to know.
