Beautiful, notice how low he goes and how far he stretches out the leg. True drop of the opponent then. And most of the opponents knew that they were ippon'ed. No needles rolling forward or that bs
I don't understand why everyone on the internet thinks that seoi otoshi is a hybrid technique of seoinage and tai otoshi. Kodokan has a very good video which shows that seoi otoshi is what most people call "drop seoi".
People have always called this throw seoi otoshi 🤷 it does seem like he is pinning the shoulder to his drop, which is a bit different from a pure body drop throw, so I'm not sure it's wrong. Who cares what the kodokan shows in their demonstration, what matters is the principals at play
Hashimoto may finally be able to compete in the Olympics. Russian Mikhaylin had been continually prevented from competing in the Olympics by Tmenov. But he finally made it to the Olympics at the age of 33 and won the silver medal. Hashimoto has also continued to be prevented from the Olympics because of Ōno. However, Ōno won't try for the Paris Olympics. Therefore, like Mikhaylin, he may be able to make his first Olympic appearance at the age of 33.

What Judo has become is disgusting. What was once touted as being “The Gentle Way” is now Destroy Your Opponent By Any Means Possible. That the Kodokan has permitted this to happen should be regarded as a national disgrace on par with the Pearl Harbour attack. Between 1983 and 2016, 121 people have died as a direct result of their Judo practice. Shame on the Kodokan. You have no honour.
A perfectly timed, standing Tai Otoshi is up there with the most beautiful throws of Judo

After all the uchi Mata I see on these videos, this was a pleasure to watch.
Tai/seoi otoshi was my favorite and most effective throw when I was competing in judo.
Such a dynamic throw wow

Sheer poetry
He’s making a comeback!
A flawless Ippon !

Such a beast

Exactly, what's shown in this video is all tai otoshi.
@@64wy4x8s ...and a mighty fine taiotoshi at that.
Cause nobody uses the Kodokan definition.

Your video was featured in Lex Fridman's podcast!!!
Haven't seen that, was it on the podcast with Neil Adams?
@@GrapplerKingdom yeah somewhere around the end of the podcast

Your video music choice is amazing
Last one: Paris. Jodukas definitely enjoy this one: when you win, there are hundreds of people cheering for you.
That thumbnail is a work of fucking art! Haha what a beautiful mid throw moment in time. 😂😂
His sense for judo is ridiculous
when he gets that inside lapel, it’s over
1:30: wow, his head hit hard!
Are you alright?
🔥🔥🏆🏆🥋🥋
Tai/seoi otoshi straight to armbar is a wicked set up.

I do same Tai Otoshi for a long time and win a lot trophee ..

Same side every time, doesn't even try to hide it!
Funny all the same technique to just different opponents
he he... everyone knows that he will apply the tai seoi otoshi amd expect to... fail
