    Skip and Shannon are such a good combo, it’s not always an argument, it’s not always political. It’s just two men talking about sports that are pretty funny. ESPN made a terrible decision in letting skip go. Created a domino effect that has made fox sports the go to.

      @ghenry4513 5 років тому +2

      No, I think Alshon made the remarks a month ago about not spreading the ball out, but I don't think this article is him. Just my opinion. I actually think it was Jenkins. Jenkins is a fearless leader with big cahones and as a veteran he would have no problem calling out any younger, rookie-level player who was not putting the team first. Jenkins would look at this as constructive criticism like a big brother. It also could be Long, or someone on the way out who knows they won't be around next year due to salary cap...
      I also think Jernigan could be someone bc he is also someone who is fearless...And I'd hate to think it, but Tate could have also been someone who said something, even though I don't think he produced enough to talk (but that might be just why he talked- he felt pressure coming over to the team, and his numbers made it look like he wasn't performing like he wasn't any good). It doesn't matter who said it because I don't think it was meant to hurt as much as it seems, but I think it was meant to be constructive criticism to get his head right for next season and beyond...

    Not an Eagles fan but I do believe Wentz is a good QB. I believe he came back too fast to prove that he could lead the Eagles back and win the SB. I like Foles and he did do something special because it could have collapsed and they didn’t go to the SB. It doesn’t take away that Wentz helped the Eagles to get that record to have the number 1 seed. Wentz just needs to ignore the chatter and get back to the QB that he was. He can’t change what happen in that Super Bowl year nor this year. They named him their franchise QB so thats the end of it. When they trade Foles, they need a backup especially if Wentz doesn’t stop taking chances that could get him hurt. Some of his decision making has caused his injuries but I believe with time he will understand.

    I would go with Foles. Philly seems to be suffering from the sunk cost fallacy. Natural talent doesn't overcome being injury prone and a bad attitude. I watched Foles and he's slightly above average. If you add in good reads, thinking, and a good chemistry fit, that's a top 10 performer. Foles is clutch in two ways: the postseason and the fate of his entire career. Normally I would say long term Wentz is the only option but I can imagine injuries ending Wentz's stardom permanently.

    Foles ain't better than Wentz. Philly were scoreless in all three quarters against New Orleans with Foles. That's just flat out terrible. Let me remind yall that Foles was not playing to take over Wentz's job as well and he wasn't under pressured at all to play well like Wentz. Wentz might be selfish; not a single player is unselfish.

    Wow. Skip actually impressed me. Deep down he knows Wentz is good. He just wont admit it during the season. Move Foles and Wentz will settle back down. He never had to come out to try even harder to prove something. To me atleast. I seen what he is capable of. My thing is why did the medical staff and coaching staff let Wentz rush back. I dont for 1 second think Foles can lead this team 16 games and a SB run. But I do believe Wentz can do it. Just let the kid heal to 100%. Let him cleae his mind. I mean any QB would be feeling a type of way inside if you led your team to a 11-2 record while smashing teams and another guy gets all the credit at the end of the run. Foles got to go so Wentz can clear his mind and just play. Instead of trying to impress or get that slap on the back.

    For me it's simple: Doug knows what he's doing, and I'm confident that between he and Howie the right decision will be made. As far as Wentz being hot-headed or demanding or whatever, aren't all the greats that? As far as him being selfish, look into what he does off the field, the man is humble and has the heart of a servant. The selfishness aspect of this is garbage.

  • @englewoodprice7572

    I continue to believe wentz is the new RG3. if I was the one making the decision I would stick with nick foles and trade wentz. I feel if eagles had a decent running back like they had in the playoff run they would win the superbowl again. if the main aim of the eagles is to win the superbowl then they must know that many playoff games will be close. who is more clutch than foles. I don't see the clutch gene in wentz. I mean someone like dak Prescott has like 3 times more game winning drives than wentz. I would stick with foles. but the business figures say paying 8mil for a wentz is more reasonable than 20mil for nick foles

Carson Wentz know that his job is threaten, by Nick Foles. Carson can't seem to stay healthy, so have Nick Foles as your back up quarterback provides insurance in case Carson Wentz gets hurt.

Problem with Foles is that as an actual starter he does not do too well. Coming in as a replacement and filling in for 2-3 games he can be magical, but can he sustain that throughout a whole season? I highly doubt it

  • @Kaibo101

    As a Seahawks fan, I think the Eagles could train up Foles but give him a very short term contract and see what happens. I didn't think Goff was the Rams answer but I saw how much he trained his arm and made settle but effective technique changes that brought him up to another level. Wentz is looking like another Romo situation. Those injuries never really heal the same and you could see Wentz always having those thoughts in the back of his mind.
