    I look at it like this.... While worldwide agriculture will be destroyed for 80- 100 years, the silver lining is that most of the areas covered in ash will be super fertile down the road.

    They have talked about this EVERY SINGLE YEAR for the las 20 years. I look at it this way. Sure it might errupt, but there is NOTHING I can do about it. If it happens, a LOT of people are going to die. Being worried about it will not save a single life, so why worry.
    If you live long enough, something is going to kill you some day. And you will, without the slightest doubt live long enough for something to kill you. One of those things might be stress, so being worried about shit CAN kill you, so limit your worries to those things you CAN do something about.
    In the mean time, buckle up, relax, and enjoy your life while you have it.

      These prophets of doom do better when they predict things AFTER they happen. Do you remember Jean Dixon, she who stated, in 1967, that JFK would be assassinated? Yeah, that's great foresight!!!!!

    Also scientists 2017: "A global pandemic is highly unlikely...."

    • @tommyroche9142
      @tommyroche9142 3 роки тому +1

      In any given year a global pandemic is actually unlikely. You can test this by picking a year in the future and waiting to see if there's a pandemic that year. If you pick for example 2024, it's highly unlikely but not impossible that there will be a global pandemic that year. If you meant that scientists said a global pandemic was highly unlikely in the future then you're either lying or simply mistaken. Pandemics happen and will happen again. When ? Nobody knows.

    I love it when they say an eruption is not going to happen in our lifetime. They don't know when it's going to erupt. If they did then they could predict every erupting volcano on earth. If it's going to go, it's gonna go and there's nothing that anyone can do about it.

    • @CRTukkerr
      @CRTukkerr 6 років тому +6

      NASA is helping it to erupt by going to pump water down the caldera for as they say "geo thermal energy" while infact they're planning to create that eruption to happen.

      You mean that guy who lived a long and fruitful life in an absolute dream landscape, because he didn't hide in a safe room somewhere? Yeah, that idiot only lived to be 90 something, fishing and enjoying his mountain lake every day of his life. Too bad he wasn't as smart as those people safely packed into concrete structures, like yourself, watching youtube videos about how dangerous it is to be alive.
      You're far more likely to die in a car accident, especially if you crowd into some shithole like New York to avoid the tiny chance that this beautiful land will kill you before age does. No thanks, pansy. I'll enjoy my life without cowering under the bed. I've already lived a long and fruitful life, enjoying dangerous scenery and fun outdoor activities that could have killed me.
      I would argue that if you prolong your life by avoiding beautiful things like Yellowstone park, then you haven't lived a single day, no matter how old you got. Stay away from the windows, eat only bland, healthy foods, exercise indoors, and keep yourself alive as long as you can, if that's your priority in life. It isn't mine.

    It seems maybe Yellowstone is the least of the worries about the other volcanoes because it has vents always releasing energy and although they know it goes under several states it probably would be like Hawaii right now crawling along the ground slowly toward valley there....I would be more concerned about Mt. St Helens and Rainier due to the pyroclastic flow after it erupts.

      There's a lot of factors determining the age of a rock. I did some quick google searches and learned a few ways to determine age of rocks. There is radioactive decay and radiometric age dating. There is lots of stuff about it. It goes as deep as elemental compounds that can determine absolute age, like uranium-238 and thorium-238. Like I said before, it's really interesting.

      It's best to die quick than linger in the aftermath like those in Utah, Monatana, Nevada, and Wyoming. There may be some unleashing of EQs throughout the surrou ding States, like California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado.
      I had a dream years ago about a volcano erupting that was very big and devastating. I had asked what was this place and it was repeated several times from the people around me. I heard screams of deaths and destruction of the.people caught in the destruction of the volcano. The answer was Denver.
      It was very vivid and seemed real. Using a then, I kept an eye on Denver. I have never done research to see if there is a volcano there. And no EQs or magma. So, I'm not sure why the dream. I have had it since.

    150 decibels will make you deaf (jet engine), a small volcano erupting was recorded at 310 decibels and heard from 100 miles away which sounded like a cannon at that distance. (Across ocean). It took 4 hours for the sound to travel there
    The shockwave alone from a super volcano would kill so many people. It would be like a massive atomic bomb

Just like those who ignore tornado sirens because they become accustomed to them -- but one day the threat is real . . . and just like in Guatemala, where the residents received NO WARNING because their government thought the threat was past, somehow after 70+ with many more fatalities expected . . . I think they now have quite a different attitude and some very heavy responsibility for their lack of action also. Even in Hawaii with adequate warning, people are now cut off because they misjudged the flow of lava . . . and now they are jeopardizing rescue workers lives to fly in and get them. It is NEVER A THREAT -- UNTIL IT ALL OF A SUDDEN . . . IS!

    Famous last words "you are safe here". United States will see a major Volcano eruption, whether it's at Yellowstone or somewhere else remains to be seen but it will be soon.

    Ground deformation, gas releases on surface, and heavy seismic activity happening all at once. Forgot to mention that those are also signs of the eruption going off as well. They also speculate if yellow stone erupts that there will be a cascade of earthquakes all up and down the west coast.

      Except if Yellowstone erupts we won't see a caldera
      With only 5-15% melt thats not enough magma for a large eruption

    We've been through it before. We will survive this too. Not everyone but those who know and are prepared.
