Well, thank goodness there was no enabling whatsoever in this video!!! Darn. I also love the granny star quilt btw and what a fantastic book it is too. Look forward to seeing your progress x
Oh my gosh if you didn’t have me with cross stitching now you have me with quilting!!!😂😂 love this video and love all Laundry Basket fabrics and her quilts . Thank you
Been a fan since the beginning and have enjoyed your mini quilting segments within your flosstubes. All this to say that I am thrilled that you’ve decided to incorporate a quilt video in between the stitching ones. I’m an avid stitcher and quilter so I enjoy seeing and sharing your enthusiasm for our hobbies.
Really enjoyed your quilt kit parade even though I am a civil war reproduction quilt fabric collector. I really think you should work on those quilts with the 3 inch blocks. I am just learning to sew very small blocks as I love Pam Buda's line of fabrics and her quilt patterns. Also am a collector of Kansas Trouble fabric as I belong to the Kansas Trouble quilt kit club and there is a new pattern and the fabric that comes every other month and I am over a year behind on these projects. It is ok to collect quilt kits because that is what we love to do !!😃😃
Aviatrix Medallion - that pattern always comes to the top of the pile. I have thought about an Elizabeth Hartman focus for 2023. But…just received my copy of Scrappiness is Happiness. 2023 will be Elizabeth and Lori focus. Thank you for the great inspiration!
Oh my Liz, you are as bad as me!!! So love it when you do a quilt show, please do them more often……. I have 10 quilt kits ready to go and I swear that when covid hit I wasn’t going to buy any more fabric - but yeah I did so now I’m trying to finish the ones I have on the go before I start any more. Ive also decided this year, that to get my stash down I’m going to make a heap of quilts for kids that are in domestic violence, they will be a virtual hug for me to them so they have something to love and hug. I have a heap of batik and some really old material that would work so well, so they will all be either cot or single bed size. I am to start these within the next month, I will park my kited quilts to one side and get on get these done as they are so very needed.
I love to piece quilts but the quilting part scares me! Hopefully I'll get over that and enjoy the process. I love the variety of projects that you make. I hope you are feeling better! Wishing you a speedy recovery! Wicked scrap Halloween support
Oh my goodness Elizabeth I am sitting here drooling over all of the pretty fabric from all of your quilt kits! They are just gorgeous. Every time you would bring out a new bundle for one of the quilts I would just go ooh ah. I am like you red is my favorite color.
I feel like a professional youtuber now with a fancy camera that I don't really know how to work 😂 but I love the quality (I shot this in 4k, ooooh) and the microphone is great too. I just need to figure out better lighting, the ring light is making me crazy with the glare but when I film in the evening I have to have a direct light.
Elizabeth another great video…..I agree, i havent done a sampler quilt, so when you decide to do your quilt from scrappiness is happiness (i love this book and loris material) you should do a quilt along ( as well with your mom)and I would totally join…lolol….also the camera is definitely top quality….have a great week…
I've avoided learning to quilt so far because I'm afraid of accumulating another stash lol. I love seeing people who do quilt though, and I really enjoyed this little parade!
I really like all your upcoming projects, especially the Lella Boutique. It’s going to be gorgeous! As for storing quilt WIP… there is always the garage and tote bins. ☺️
Loved this video!! I think you should do BOTH, quilty videos and xstitch! 2 of my 3 FAVORITE hobbies! I love the Granny Square Stars too and want to make it, any your fabric choice is perfect, I am adding that Lori Holt scrappy background fabric to my cart. Can't wait to see your QUILTS
The Aviatrix Medallion quilt is my oldest kitted quilt too (unopened FQ bundle with ribbons and everything). I giggled when you pulled it out because I feel exactly the same way -- overwhelmed.
Yay! A quilting video by a flosstuber. I was a quilter before FQS tantalized me into cross stitching and I found all these wonderful people who cross stitch and some of them show quilts like you. Your new equipment seems to be working just fine….the sound was good and the lighting was nice, I thought. Thanks for sharing all your quilt projects kitted up. Very fun. Blessings and take care.
Thank you so much!! When I started my flosstube I was in a place where I stitched 80% of the time and quilted the other 20% but quilting was always my first love and now its back to 50/50 and I love it! I'm so glad people like seeing my quilty things as well as the cross stitch, and hopefully all the bags because I've made three in the last week 😂
Hi Liz. I had such a nice time drinking coffee while viewing all your lovely quilt kits. I think my favorite was the Belle Isle. You’re looking wonderful. Hope you’re healing up from your recent surgery.
I love how you rationalize making big quilts with your height. I’m 4 ft 10, and I still need big quilts😂 I feel like a proper quilt is one big enough to really bury yourself in! I can’t wait to see you make some of these!
I show off all my quilting progress along with my cross stitch and bag sewing and anything else I get up to in my Sunday videos (usually every other sunday!)
Loved your kitted up quilt projects. The fabrics are so so pretty. When I fill a little overwhelmed with the cutting, I take Pat Sloan’s advice and cut then sew one block at a time. Enjoy the process and Be Well
So many fantastic fabrics!!! I have so many quilt kits ready to go sigh....I get it. I also have a LOT of tops that need to be quilted too. Just when I vow to complete some projects before I start anything else, I see a kit or a pattern that I can not resist. Can't wait to see your quilts as you work on them.
I know you will have no problem with the Summer Moon quilt. Carrie Nelson writes great instructions. I have made several quilts from her patterns. She is from Texas for sure. I also love the minik and Simpson jolly bar quilt. I have so many quilts I want to make and so little time. I am really tempted to check out that jolly bar availability
Love all your quilt kits. Pat Sloan's Midnight Moon is awesome. Funny I love samplers because I find I get bored making the same block. Can't wait to see what you start.
Oh I totally get that, for me, I love chain piecing so I love to have a little assembly line set up and work like that so I get bogged down in sampler quilts with all the different blocks
Loved your video but had to stop and go order that Belle Isle Jolly Bar from Fat Quarter !! Your camera and microphone work just great. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love all the quilts you are planning. I have the same problem of storing all the started and kitted projects. I love the Art Bins. I have a ton of them but they keep everything together. I have a few of the larger ones with Lori Holt’s Prim and Granny’s Garden and others. I like to keep the Sew Simple Shapes, fabric, interfacing, threads and instructions all together. I like the look of sampler quilts but it think they are much harder to decide how to quilt. To me, they require custom quilting and that can get a bit expensive.❤️🪡🧵❤️
I’m not a sampler style quilter either. You have lovely quilts! Can’t wait to see your WIPs finished too as well. I have a dozen quilts I’d like to start but I’m finally over halfway done with Lori’s Flea Market Flowers appliqué quilt! I started it last year, I think. I had no idea how much longer it is to do an appliqué quilt when I started. I have enjoyed it so I’m not really complaining. It’s just the time factor. I also have Lori’s My Happy Place quilt kit which is pretty appliqué heavy but there are piecing blocks as well. I have appliquéd two of those blocks already. My Happy Place is the reason I decided to try to quilt as I do all those needlework techniques. I couldn’t believe that they were all there together in one quilt. Barbara 🧵🪡✂️
Fun fact. I live in MI and remembering going to Belle Isle on Sundays with my Dad when I was younger. Lots of beautiful fabric and up coming quilts! Love the Summer moon! I'm make the Santa hat quilt from Lori's new book. Thought it would be fun for when the kids come home at Christmas. You are going to be busy sewing!
Thanks for all the information on your future quilts…all are lovely fabric…love Lori Holt designs and fabric…I have one local quilt shop and they don’t believe in her style…We have Tuesday Morning shops here in Central Virginia and they have great prices on the Art bins…best wishes Liz, and happy stitching ❤️🔆✂️
Thats so intersting because most of the quilt shops around me don't carry her fabrics either! Austin Sewing has fq bundles sometimes but I never see yardage there and I've asked at another local quilt shop and they didn't even know who I was talking about! So strange!
Someday I will have my dream quilt kitted up. It's the La Passacaglia quilt by Millefiori Quilts. It's the mother of all EPP quilts. I don't have a lot of extra disposable income, and it could easily cost over $1000 to kit this quilt with quilt fabrics, so I'm hitting up the local thrift store every wednesday at my lunch break when the men's shirts ar 25cents each. I think it will be magnificent if I ever get to start putting together the motifs. I love every kit you showed, but that Ruby Star Society pattern is enchanting. I adore the colorway. That summer moon quilt makes me think of a baltimore album quilt.
This is such a fun video! It makes me want to kit up a bunch of quilts! I feel like when I try to, though, I question all of my choices to death. It's somehow fun but also torture. 😆
Loved the quilt parade, I have the new book of Lori's also and loved it. I have been following Pat Sloan for a long time and I thought that Summer Moon in Halloween fabric was fabulous. Hope you are feeling better and Happy Quilting!
You can do the tiny blocks in Summer Moon. I am working on one using my scraps and it is called Winter Moon since I am using Christmas scraps. I normally do not like tiny blocks but you get into it and it becomes easier. Starch, starch and starch the fabric for the tiny blocks and it does help.
Love! I didn’t even bat an eye at 9! I don’t feel so alone now since somebody else stuffs away projects too. You’ve inspired me to clean out my shelves and organize my creative hoard!
Love the new camera and microphone!! I am going to learn to quilt and so I bought Lori's new scrappy quilt book. I have a feeling it's going to be my favorite!! Love seeing your quilts! 💖🤩
I loved watching this video!! The timing was perfect because I’m having a free day of quilting today! 😁 Although maybe 🤔 I shouldn’t have watched until tonight because now I want to quilt ALLLLL the quilts! I’m feeling your pain! 😂 I really loved the Belle Isle jolly bar kit!
Remember to breathe! Smaller blocks are just as easy to do as large--but some take a bit longer. Good to challenge yourself and highly satisfying. Try it; bet you'll like it! Great video, as always. Remember these three things always go together: Cutting accurately, precision piecing, careful pressing. You'll be fine!
Isn't Lori's book fabulous?!!!! I cut out my Chicken Salad Quilt and hand so much left over from my fat quarter bundle I started cutting for her Great Granny Square Quilt (17 blocks sewn 3 to go!) and then still had fabric left to use with my other Lori stash so I'm cutting pieces for the Spare Squares Quilt
You are so right! I was flipping through it before this video to just triple check with myself that granny star was the quilt pattern I was going to do with my fqs, I just love flipping through it!
You have such a happy glow now that you are married! Love the new camera and set up! Where was mr. Jones? No mischief today? Your quilt projects are awesome! I would love to go on retreat with you! 💕🧵💕
I love the fact you have so many beautiful quilts kitted.. I've not done this yet but you have made me want to get it done faster.. Now challenge accepted to get more organized and get more quilts done. I can relate to just buy all things 🤭 Happy Sewing 💗
Small blocks try foundation paper patterns - love love love Laurie Simpson and Polly minick - beautiful people inside and out and awesome fabrics ! Great choice!
I absolutely love seeing all your quilt kits. It is such a beautiful array of fabrics. I have the same taste that you do, pinks and reds and symmetrical is best.
I made the Elizabeth Hartman Bear quilt. I took the pieces and put each separate piece in its own little baggie to keep it organized. I also did not wash the FQs. I have so much fabric and so many quilts to make. And being the Disorderly Stitcher, I have squirrel moments all the time and pull something out to sew before the one I'm working on is done. I currently have seven quilts kitted up and school starts on Monday. Working full time gets in the way of creating all the things. Hope you are feeling better!
I was happy to send you the summer moon quilt kit. I thought if anyone could do this, you could. You have some serious skills! Can’t wait to see your progress on everything.
The last guilt I made for myself I cut One and a quarter size squares so it made a 3/4 inch square after sewed. I said I'd never gonna do that again but I also say I'm never gonna make a large guilt again. Lol
Oh wow, those are some tiny squares!! Yeah I've never done anything that small, although some of the letter blocks do you use 1 inch cut/1/2 inch finished squares!
Great selection of quilt kits enjoyed seeing all your beautiful 🤩 fabrics. Wish you could do a beginner quilt tutorial that would be amazing 😻 Have a wonderful weekend and happy quilting 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Fun to see your kitted quilts! You do know you are always enabling. I went on a search for Lady Bird fabrics when you showed the Mariette quilt and found a jelly roll. Need to pick a background, binding and backing. I also have many quilt wips and kitted quilts projects. Of course, I am currently knee deep in stitching projects as well. Did I mention I also knit and paper craft?
I have SO many kitted quilts. Who knows when I’ll get to them. It’s pretty much how I purchased fabric until recently. Trying to also build a stash with no plan in mind so I can do some scrappy quilts from stash or any quilt from stash….eventually. 😉
This was so much fun to see!! I absolutely loved it. The sharpness and clarity of your video is better with this camera. I could also hear you really well, but I don’t usually have an issue with that. Just thought you might want some feedback. I can’t wait to see what you do with your current quilt WIPs as well as those that you want to start. Happy quilting………..
Thanks Pam! When I film with my phone I always have to make my audio louder when I edit but with this microphone I had to turn myself down 😂😂 I definitely think I can talk more normally and don’t have to project so much!
Love all of your kits! I just finished my Aviatrix Medallion! I’ve been wanting to do the Summer Moon and Midnight Moon so badly but it’s not in my budget for now. One day!!
Thank you so much for a wonderful video. I love watching your videos makes my day. Can't wait to see your progress on all of the new quilts. I hope you have a great week and weekend. Thank you Vanessa White
Loved this video. I can sooo relate to having a large fabric stash being a quilter myself. I don’t need more, but that Jolly Bar by Minnick and Simpson along with its pattern is calling to me. Lovely!
What fun it was to see your kitted up quilts!!! Love the Prairie fabric!! Love Lori's new book - oh, who am I kidding, I love all of Lori's stuff!!
I love watching you floss tube channel. Planner. Keep up making beautiful quilts.
Thank you
I want to buy every Laundry Basket Quilts fabric collection! My sister is about to start a quilt with her new blues fabric line!
Lori’s book is fabulous!! I wish I could make them all but too little time, space and money. 😆 All of your future quilts will be beautiful!!😍

Loved this! We could be sisters. I have a ton of kits too. I like shopping for the fabrics more than I like sewing them😀
See you Sunday!! Loved all your beautiful fabrics!🥰
WOW! You sure like challenges. The quilt patterns are beautiful. You have great taste. TFS.
Oh my goodness. You have the same taste in quilts as I do. Loved your video. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
@@elizabethanncanstitch my favorite color is turquoise. I also like pink.
I’m watching this today and girl you have shrunk!
I love your channel ❤

Oh wow. Kiss Goodnight looks very complicated but pretty.
Right? Luckily its just squares and hsts but I think it looks super impressive!

Scrappiness is Happiness is the BEST BOOK EVER!!! I just started the flower one!
Like to see what you’re working on or have kitted up!

The trick with doing small blocks is doing the scant 1/4" seams and using a thin thread like auriful thread and any threads that are like it

You have such a happy glow now that you are married! Love the new camera and set up! Where was mr. Jones? No mischief today? Your quilt projects are awesome! I would love to go on retreat with you! 💕🧵💕
Oh I filmed this during his post dinner 4 hour nap! 😂
Great quilt project!
I absolutely love seeing all your quilt kits. It is such a beautiful array of fabrics. I have the same taste that you do, pinks and reds and symmetrical is best.
Love that!!
Hope you are feeling better!
working full time is the enemy of quilting! 😂 All I want to do is sew all day long, too bad I need to be able to afford these quilt supplies!
I was happy to send you the summer moon quilt kit. I thought if anyone could do this, you could. You have some serious skills! Can’t wait to see your progress on everything.
Sondra, thank you again!! I just need to clear out a couple of wips and work up the courage to start it!
Great quilt video! I love all your Quilt Kits and I have quite a few kitted up myself. Now off to sew. Happy quilting!
Those art bin containers from Jo-Ann's go on half price sale often, and come in many sizes.
Yes! I got mine half off last weekend!
Great selection of quilt kits enjoyed seeing all your beautiful 🤩 fabrics.
Wish you could do a beginner quilt tutorial that would be amazing 😻
Have a wonderful weekend and happy quilting 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Fun to see your kitted quilts! You do know you are always enabling. I went on a search for Lady Bird fabrics when you showed the Mariette quilt and found a jelly roll. Need to pick a background, binding and backing. I also have many quilt wips and kitted quilts projects. Of course, I am currently knee deep in stitching projects as well. Did I mention I also knit and paper craft?
You sound just like me! 😂😂
Great plans
One day!!
Ooh I'm jealous you got your Aviatrix Medallion done! Someday I'll get that one done... someday!
Fun video!
Love the idea of kitting up projects ❤️
Loved your kitted quilt parade...lots of inspiring ideas! Thank you!
Omg! You picked the same quilt I want to make first from the book Scrapiness too! I love all your future quilts too.
Fun!! There are so many good quilts it was hard to pick one but love a good star quilt!!
Love all the quilt kits and fabric ! Can’t wait to see you make them😍
I love all your kits. We have the same taste! Scrap
Thank you so much for a wonderful video. I love watching your videos makes my day. Can't wait to see your progress on all of the new quilts. I hope you have a great week and weekend. Thank you Vanessa White
Thank you Vanessa!!
Loved this video. I can sooo relate to having a large fabric stash being a quilter myself. I don’t need more, but that Jolly Bar by Minnick and Simpson along with its pattern is calling to me. Lovely!
