A zen video with only cephalopds of the abyss and their scientific names ? PERFECTION. 💚💚💚
You could make a ten hour video like this and I'd be watching it in its entirety.
Agreed. Five minutes is way to short of time.
Exactly! I would too 🙂🐙
Such beautiful creatures…their colors are stunning.
LOVE these “chill out” videos! Please keep them coming 💚
The content and music in his video go perfectly together. It is very relaxing. Thanks!
I love the dumbo & flapjack, arguably the cutest cephalopods of all time ~ great video all around, your channel has been a favorite for a long time. Pandemic has my already fragile mental health in ruins; Mbari is one of my temporary “coping skills” ~ as always thank you.
Keep going, and remember that we're all in this together!😄 And I agree, these animals are so relaxing to watch! 🐙
@@andiebrodie3936 Thank you for your words 😌
0.53-Oh, wow! That octopus reminds me of those paperweights and other blown glass ornaments where they put a layer of coloured glass chips in between two colourless transparent layers of glass. Exquisitely beautiful!
Like floating pieces of art...gorgeous
Спасибо! Сказочный, волшебный мир!
This one is going on my Favorites list. Thank you!
Definitely want to dive the deep sea one day 🌊
My whole body would probably implode at that depth. But these octopuses keep chilling 😎
Great upload! Relaxation is very important in our life.
People: everything in the deep ocean is fucking terrifying
This video: octopus funni
Octopus go flap flap brrr
Absolutely fantastic 😍
I've stopped eating octopi and cephalopods.
We've got to give them a chance.
Octopuses* ;-)
I can’t wait til I can visit the aquarium again. 💕
Octopuses are amazing animals they living oceans all around the world
I like the Cirrothauma murrayi, what an interesting looking octopus. What do they use the cirri for? Feeding I guess, somehow?
Yeah that's a really cool one that I actually haven't seen before. I wonder if it feeds on detritus, like the Vampire Squid. Because they both have cirri, although the Murrayi's cirri look somewhat different... I dunno... Either way, It's all so interesting and I love it.
@@beautyforashes2022 I was thinking the same exact thing.
Yes, the cirri are finger-like projections that they use to move food towards the mouth and root around the mud. Learn more in this video about another cirrate octopus (in the same family): ua-cam.com/video/5ihBYwxEZLk/v-deo.html
This is ASMR right here
Such a beautiful animal. Amazing.
How is everyone in the universe not subscribed to this wonderful channel
If I could I’d live in the deep sea, if only such a thing were possible

They
They do be vibing tho 😳
they're so graCeful
This is so gorgeous! As a poetically-minded scientist, I watch one for a while, I know they do some sort of activity like, or super substitution for, thinking. I try to think how life would feel down there, with all the space in every direction equally available to roam. What might a creature like down there experience as "nice", in that way, creatures up here experience a sunny day after a string of rainy ones "nice". Tastes in the water probably. Sounds, definitely. Which under-water singers do they enjoy? And do they get annoyed by some fish banging a mussel (sorry, if wrong word) on a stone for hours?
As an artist I marvel in forms and movements, drink those in and let them get into my art.
How gorgeous these videos are!
i've been learning more about cephalopods recently & i've discovered that they don't have good hearing (including octopuses). Some don't hear at all, some only detect vibrations (as close to hearing as they'll get), while some only hear low frequencies. Sorry to spoil your contemplations, but they definitely still have very interesting and lively internal lives and it would be amazing to know how these intelligent creatures experience the world!
@@osmannek no spoiling possible no way. It's interesting information. And even if... Sounds are vibrations, actually, and vibrations can be very, very nice!
Bonjour super vidéo J'adore franchement Merci
Nice
thanks!
This is has to be a dance to them.
I did not know there where that many species!
I want one 😍
:53 - looks like Murano glass.
is that the transparent one with the orange spots? it looked like it had some mucus coming out of it too...
0:53 Oh wow, it absolutely does look like Murano glass. It's so beautiful... Nature never ceases to amaze me...
magnificat
This needs to be like 6 hours long not 5 minutes
All those Cephs..
😍
please do a deep sea exhibition series it would be the BEST THING EVER! i'm subscribed to this channel and monterey bay aquarium since 2019 i even have a video on my channel about the old deep sea exhibit ! 🥺🥺🥺🐟🐠🐟
Wah!
… and relax 😊
I was so sad when it ended
Japetella looked like it was made of glass. Like the pendant lights people hang over their granite countertops.
Awww
😴❤️
oh to be a sea blob chilling in deep sea..
1:00 behaind from the japetella diaphana the white what is?
It could be a piece of marine snow, but it's hard to say since it is out of focus while we are focused on the octopus.
Beautiful and terrifying
Are these real? Either I’m too lit or they look CGI 😳
cool
can i give the little buggers some head scritches
I found the music to be extremely annoying in its repetition, but love the cephalopods.

Hard working research
Octopuses or Octopi?
Which one is the tastiest?
A research institute that doesn't know the plural of octopus is octopi...
That’s is actually a myth as octopus doesn’t come from the same language as fungus. Although octopi is widely accepted octopusses is technically the correct term.
@@skeleleleletons5869 in the dictionary its octopi, thus unless you have the power to override the oxford dictionary, its still wrong.
@@DUxMORTEM as I said it is still widely excepted
@@skeleleleletons5869 and as i said, its still wrong. Just because alot of people prefer to use your instead of you're doesnt mean its correct. The fact this is literally an institute that used the "widely accepted" version over the actual dictionary version is the equivilant of a spelling mistake on a resume.
Octopi not octopuses
