- Filmed, Edited and Produced from 2020 through early 2024, APSL is pleased to release the official preview for "The Line That Refuses To Die - The Story of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad".
This feature will have a runtime of around 1 hour and is our first in-depth interpretive Documentary that chronicles the history of one of western Maryland's crown jewels, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.
This program has no direct affiliation with the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and has been produced entirely by APSL, with great assistance from numerous individuals and organizations.
The program is narrated by Danny Harmon and Trevor Laber.
Look for the full-length feature later this Spring.

Western Maryland has to be one of the most beautiful railroads I’ve ever visited. The Appalachian mountains as the backdrop, the virtually unchanged cities of Cumberland, frostburg and the numerous communities along its route, and steam. What else could you ask for! Can’t wait for the full documentary!

So when is the release date
At some point this Spring after we hold a fundraiser.
My son is special needs and he loves trains 🚆🚂🚃🚄🚅🚇🚈🚉🚊🚝🚞🚋 they are one of his favorite things in the whole world 🌎! He hopes and prays 🙏 that someday soon the entire line to Connellsville PA will be rebuilt and used again for both freight and passenger trains and that it will be double tracked again but he does not want that to be wishful thinking he wants it to be a reality.
It could be a reality, although certain things have to happen in an almost seamless fashion beforehand.
Historically speaking, it almost became a reality that started in the early to mid 1960's.
