- In recent years, the keyboard community has witnessed a surge in enthusiasts, particularly among gamers seeking the perfect gaming keyboard. The age-old question of the best keyboard for gaming often elicits responses like "Opt for a long-pole switch for faster actuation with light springs" or "Choose a 75% keyboard for increased mouse space, especially for FPS players." The timeless advice is, of course, "It all depends on preference," though applicable to many, it may not be universal.
Switching between different games demands distinct keyboard configurations - one for FPS, another for Rhythm Games, and naturally, a different setup for productivity. The thought arises: "What if I could adjust the actuation point for every switch without swapping them out?"
Enter the BOOG75 from Meletrix, bearing a striking resemblance to the ZOOM75 with its case structure. What sets it apart is the integration of a unique PCB and switches. Meet the KS-37B magnetic HE switches by Gateron, where HE stands for Hall Effect. Similar to the traditional MX-style switch, it comprises a spring, stem, and housing, but notably lacks the two copper pins at the bottom.
These pins are typically part of the contact leaves, generating a signal when a key is pressed. In contrast, HE switches utilize a magnet to trigger the magnetic field on the PCB, essentially making it an analog switch with the aid of a magnetic sensor. This design allows the keyboard to measure the distance of the magnet on each switch through its voltage input. Picture the game-changing potential for PC gaming. Similar to console controllers, now adjust an object or character movement speed by varying keypress depth.
This innovation empowers users to determine precisely at which depth of keypress the actuation will be triggered. Even the slightest graze of 0.1mm can initiate the actuation, providing a customizable and highly responsive gaming experience. The BOOG75 from Meletrix not only caters to gaming needs but also challenges the idea of constant upgrades, making it a potential endgame keyboard - unless, of course, your penchant for hoarding leads you to think otherwise.

Oh wow, I was all aboard until I hear what it sounds like. Are those clicky switches or what? They sound very harsh for something that's supposedly lubed. Compared to my Drunkdeer A75 it's night and day, the Drunkdeer sounds much better imho. Also, no wireless? The Akko MOD 007B HE is similarly priced and has a knob as well as 2.4GHz wireless.
good insight boi, I might try relubing these switches and show how it will turn out. It does have a battery compartment, marketing team said the review samples doesn't have wireless. I hope the final release will have one.
Would this keyboard be good for Counterstrike?
If you like HE switches, yes. HE provides insant counter-strafing vs regular mechanical switches.
This is basically a premium version of the Wooting keyboards.
no rapid trigger function?
There is!
