The way not even the merch was cooperating with you at the beginning as well as pretty much all the food being terrible was some beautiful foreshadowing. The reason for the VQ, whether Disney wants to admit it or not is to capitalize on LL sales. Missed the VQ? Buy a lightning lane. Want to ride again after your single use VQ? Buy a a lightning lane. Miss the ride completely? Buy another $170 ticket and try again another day. Unfortunately, this whole situation is what we've come to expect from Disney.
Lol, you're not wrong. I'm so upset about the food booth, we had beignets from there and they literally swapped them and made them way worse. As for VQ, I'll never like the system, it feels horrible for guests visiting. Some people only take one trip ever to the park, and they're potentially not able to ride a ride. LL purchases could be the driving factor, it sells out just as quick as the VQ goes. So it seems weird they would keep the systems both in place like that. I always feel bad getting a VQ and potentially taking a spot from a visiting guest, but we still want to enjoy the rides when we can, too. Kind of a lose-lose.
From everything I have seen/heard about Tiana - it needs to be renamed to Tiana's Bayou Breakdown. That's a lot of merch for TBA. Honestly, I feel it will all be 50% off come Sept. I admit I have no appreciation for art. I get it, it deserves to be funded, it deserves to be in school, etc. I just have no inclination to be appreciative of it though. I literally fast walk through art shows/museums I get dragged to. I would even pay $45 for that print, let alone a couple of hundred for a painting. The shooting gallery is becoming another DVC member lounge. It's too bad that the food was bad - but again, you aren't the first to state as such. Hopefully, they will get the kinks out of the TBA ride system sooner than later - especially with Thunder Mountain closing. I agree - as a local waiting is no big deal, but when you have friends and family visiting, it stinks that they may not be able to enjoy all that is offered. Oh well, what can you do. Be well.
LOL I've still be reading issues even after opening. And people said "They're getting the issues out of the way" during AP previews. And I knew that wasn't the case, with the number of problems going on, they weren't fixing that in a week or two without a full shutdown, and even still. I'm kind of the same with art, I appreciate the hard work they put in, but I also don't understand pieces that are not like "1 of 1" being sold for so much. But I just have ZERO idea on how to value art in general. But that's on me. I heard that about the DVC lounge, that seems like a weird location. I always thought they tried to like keep the secluded. That's so "out there". I was going to say, I watched a few people after me to see, and some people didn't want to say it was bad, but they didn't say it was good. So I kind of read between the lines lol. I think they NEED to remove the VQ system as soon as possible, there's ALWAYS a group or family that is complaining about not being able to ride a ride, but in reality they would most likely just wait in the line IF they wanted to ride that bad. Not even offering that option seems like a bad decision. And I hate feeling bad for taking someone's VQ, but I'm a guest just like everyone else when I go. You know? Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I’ve heard the best item on the menu is the gumbo. The one thing you didn’t try. 😂 The firefly in the jar sits on your shoulder and will interact with other fireflies when they get close to each other. At least this is what Disney states in the description. 😉
Haha of course it was, that stinks. We don't love shrimp, so we passed on it. But I'll take your word on it 😝 I actually think the firefly was super neat, I'd love to see it interact with others based on proximity if that were the case. It was actually very unique for those shoulder pets unlike the others that just sit there, Universal has the Owl and now Disney has the firefly! LOL 😄
Virtual queue is as bad as the new policy against foreigners reserving the new LL system while being outside the US. I usually fly in 2 days prior to my park visit, I will probably loose important LLs every single time now.
It really doesn't make sense why they would gatekeep that like that. Especially since WDW is such a popular international park for most. I'm sorry you're going to have those issues, I hope it ends up working out, though ☹
Thank you, we pride ourselves on being honest. Too many people watch content online to get information on their trips, and we don't want to give them false information.
But are you surprised with the food though? It’s Disney, they just overcharge below average food. I’ve been giving Disney another chance but from what I’ve been seeing from multiple vloggers, its disappointing. Universal Studios is so much better in my opinion Still a great video from you, Dillion! Haha 😄
Funny enough, they don't tend to have that bad of food. Both Disney and Universal do a decent job of providing ok park food. Universal has been delivering more recently, but I never thought Disney was THAT bad. But this booth is DEFINITELY a no for us. They did Tiana poorly with this one. Universal is certainly the place to be right now, listening to guests, investing in the parks, and it really feels like you have a say in what they do. 😇
Follow my instagram! @TheDillonThomas hopefully we will have some awesome stuff soon!
Disneyland Tiana's Palace foods was amazing. It a shame Florida version wasn't that good.
I hope when they retheme Pecos it turns out good, this was so disappointing...

@@Dillon.Thomas Agreed. I used to feel bad about taking a VQ spot, but I agree - I’m a paying guest as well. Be well.

the food at DCA's Tiana's is way better! if you can, try it there!
I think in general both California parks have much better food than Disneyworld haha. We're trying hard to get a trip out West at some point!
The shooting gallery is being reimagined as a DVC lounge.
Oh, is that what it is? Interesting location, I feel like those tend to be more tucked away.
Disney mismanagement unfortunately has pushed all the engineers with talent over to Universal.

👀 $229 the shock! And yet still putting hands on the canvas PRINT. Not painting. Btw not sure if anyone has said this but the food sniffing is weird.
They say 80+% of what you taste is done through smell 😏
Lol I always smell my food before I eat it, I thought everyone did, your nose is above your mouth.
@jazeryismyname I thought it was kind of normal when trying new things 😅 maybe I'm just weird 🤷♂️
