I got mine a few days ago and from what I learned from tinkering with WAVE LINK, If you want the changes you placed (VSTs etc.) on your mic to be separated with the Game/Music/Browser/System Audio, you have to assign the MIC portion to Wave Link Microphone FX. Testing on my end shows that if i assign the mic itself, there are no VSTs/changes but if i chose Microphone FX, it has the effects I added to it.
Great content. I agree with the commentary about how the lack of a shock mount means desk bumps translate to mic noise. I have not yet been able to find a way to mitigate this, ideally through a 3rd party shock mount that works well with the DX and LP mount. But until then, I just have to be a bit more aware of this problem and try to avoid.
Thank you for this review and tweaks and tips. I have a Shure SM7b but switching to the Elgato DX to pair with the Wave XLR. I just can never get the Shure loud enough for me without using an inline amp even using it on a GoXLR or an Avermedia Nexus. I have a couple mics, so will be curious to see how this works when I get it. Never hurts to have a couple mics.

Ive been using this mic for a couple of weeks and i absolutely hate it, the gain is completely of the charts and theres always some kind of background noise that is super annoying
Can I recommend a review? Corsair Hydro X7D. Beautiful looking but haven’t seen people put it together well. Rad with I/O on the back fan for pipe run.

Hi ! Mic Wave DX work on PC without audio interface ?
Can I used it too on my Yt live singing streaming or just Gaming and Podcasting ❤❤ I find it great sounds DX mic if ever i connect it to my USB audio mixer.. any advice.. Ty ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm afraid I don't sing, but I'd imagine it's perfectly good enough for it.
Elgato's Special Operation, taking over the world of streaming...sans the bloodshed. Elgato products are quality and affordable products. While I won't be purchasing this mic, I do have the Wave XLR for an RE20. Elgato's Wave Link software is a winner. I have no doubt people will be happy with this mic.
