I’ve been taught WCS by my master teach for three years and he has drilled me about keeping tension in my arms during passes. This causes me to go out of the slot in a regular left side pass. I didn’t notice this until my other teacher, who has just started learning WCS from my master teacher, pointed this out and said this was incorrect. We have both been instructed by the same person in contradicting fashion. I am now confused and am watching this video because it’s beginner level to see what’s up. I’m scrutinizing Megan and her passes. I’m just commenting as a dance student. It’s a frustration. 🤪😹
Hey you want to keep connection but that doesn't meant that your arm has to stay exactly where it is. Meaning you can bend your elbow further and shorten your connection with your partner to stay in the slot.
On our channel we have all the basics broken up individually. West coast swing is in my opinion the hardest dance for new dancers to learn bc there are so many basics and you have to use the different connections with each of those basics.
Yay!!!🎉

Nope. Can't follow that. Too much info. Too many moves. Not basic at all.
