I Loved this video! I was waiting for you to post this video after you commented on my video of my Blind Taste Test! Thanks for sharing! I LOVE my goat milk! I am so excited for you to get some goats! Did you order them yet!? lol! Keep up the good work! here is our goat milk comparison video between Nubian and Alpine. ua-cam.com/video/r3YzKa0PibM/v-deo.html Thanks for inviting us to share! ~Rose - The Goat Lady!
I am so glad you chimed in! These videos go well together! After shooting this, we did go over and visit her farm and we have a 2yo nubian doe in milk and a nubian doeling we have our eye on. Of course, we have a lot of prep work to do first before we can take them home! I just hope they don't sell in the meantime! I'm pinning this link :0)
Oh, I really hope you can get them! A doe in milk is hard to find! How much per day is she milking? Ahhh! I have so many questions, lol! I am SOOOO excited for you! GOOD FENCES are a must of course! Good luck on a speedy preparation so you can get these goats!
She is currently nursing two fostered kids and not being milked for consumption. But she comes from excellent lines. I really hope we can get her! I want to put a deposit on her, but I am afraid that wouldn't be fair to the owner as I have no idea how long it will take us to build a fence/house (and she is housing/feeding the whole time we are doing this). We have a coop to build first for our new chickens/ducks which are coming soon. Ahh! So much to do and so little time!
I had goat milk years ago...it was horrible. I've since tried it again, but from a responsible person. I tried her raw Nigerian goat milk and it was AMAZING! NO goaty taste at all! It was very creamy! We've decided to get Nigerians. It tastes like.... milk. I grew up on raw cow milk, so I feel like I would able to tell...but with Nigerians, you'd never guess it was goat milk.
The reason some people had a "pee" taste experience is because the "Billy" goat was with the milking nanny's. The Billy goat urinates on his beard. The nannys will lick the strong urine off the Billy goats beard. This act helps the nanny goats to ovulate for breeding. Never have your Billy goat in same pasture as your milking nanny's if you want good tasting milk. Hope that helps.
When we first got goats my children said the milk was horrible, so I put it in the cows milk jar and told them it was cows milk. They never knew the difference! I didnt tell them for six months. Imagine their surprise.
I just drank whole raw goat milk for the first time the other day and it actual tasted a little less creamy and sweet to me than cow milk. Still good though.
Catching up on old episodes since discovering you guys. I have to say, this episode made me laugh my head off. You guys have great chemistry and put out great content. Thank you very much. Our family loves following.
I bought goat milk from a supermarket and it tasted “gamey.” That’s the best way I could describe it. You guys made me change my mind about goat milk and perhaps having goats in my future.
Well,we were supplied by a couple of farmers in our area and they had different goats so I'm presuming it's their feed. This was 33 years ago and the locals were afraid of "new tangled things/ideas".
I have to tell you, when I first started watching your videos I thought you were sweet. I would come back every now and again just to see what you were up to. I was mostly watching Doug and Stacy, Patara, and Starry. I subscribed to your channel because your content was getting better (not just sweet). Girl, you are blowing it out of the water! You are a real family trying to do what is best for your family. You are doing what I want to do. I have been closet prepping for about 8 years. I am not all doom and gloom and would like to think that people would come together in a time of crisis. Keep up the good work and just know, its people like you that others will come to for help and knowledge. Stay sweet, and keep those vids coming! I cant wait to see what you will be up to next!
Honestly, I prefer goat milk over cow milk. Not only is it easier on my stomach, but it's so creamy and almost savory. You really feel like you're getting nourishment from it. It almost tastes cleaner to me, but I don't really know if that's the best way to describe it.
Sheep milk is best. It's creamy, sweet, and fatty, and doesn't taste like animal. Goat milk can taste like goat, which I don't like. The problem with goat milk you need to remove the ram like 50,000 thousands miles away from the female goat, or it will affect the taste of the milk. Really good goat milk should taste like milk and not goat.
Just a tip...the trick to getting really good tasting goat and cow milk is not only what you feed them, but making sure that before you milk them, give them a good brushing, wash off the teats, and make sure you don't get any hair in that milk. You get goat hair in the milk and BLEARGH...that's what makes goat milk taste goaty. Doesn't take more than a couple of hairs to do it, either.
great video guys, im really surprised that they tasted that close together. for me as a kid it was an acquired taste. hope you guys enjoy what looks like an up coming goat adventure
Even with one goat thats so much milk. There is a youtube video of a surfer vegan guy in hawaii who had arthritis or something so he got some goats and drank their milk and healed his body.
As someone who grew up on goats milk, something to keep in mind when handling the goat milk.Do not use plastic containers. Glass or stainless only. Something about the plastic always made the milk turn rancid in a hurry.
I know I'm late to the party, by WOW I love you guys!!! I've been binge-watching you guys for 2 weeks now in no particular order and I can't get enough. Congrats on the new homestead, sorry for the aggravation from the neighbors of your previous home (the pain/frustration was quite evident in your facial expressions, although you were as nice and empathetic as possible), and hope you all are as happy as you are making me! :)
We were snowed in for a week once, so we trekked to the neighbours farm - they gave us a couple of gallons of whole milk (the tanker couldn't get through, so they would just have to pour it away). Delicious!
In my experience different breeds milk taste different. Also if you let the milk sit for several days the taste will intensivy. I for sure preffer goats milk over cow =) But you are right: taste the milk from where you will get the goats! Otherwise, why get goats, if you dont like their milk?
Having had both raw goat milk and raw cow milk in all seasons of the year from numerous sources, I can tell you that the taste will vary a little or a lot according the the time of year, what the animals are grazing on, milking procedures, chilling, etc... Something I do that helps is to put the milk in the freezer until there are a few ice crystals. Also, there are times or seasons when the milk can develop off flavors or "goatiness" very quickly. If that happens, adding a few drops of food grade peroxide to the fresh milk as a preventative works wonders.
I breed goat for milk quality, I started because my daughter had bad exma, it went away very quickly when it was goat milk only, some quick tips. Dont get a male.. unless you want to be a stud farm, just find good stock to use. Get your first Miller already producing with its young kid. They then get used to being handled while you get used to the milking process. Dont feed greens like cabbage before milking, makes the milk coloured and smell, after is OK as time to process it. Excess milk can be safely frozen, when I started it could only be sold/bought frozen. And finally always keep fresh milk in the fridge, most people who complain of the taste is because its been left on the side all day, good luck
growing up with cow and goat milk, goat is nicer tasting, it is,,,,,, creamer??? I think so, and also sweeter.. I love both! I also prefer goat cheese similar to Philadelphia creme cheese in softness and texture, but better tasting to me.
Ha! This was so entertaining! And your taste test was very thorough! Makes me want to do a taste test of my own with cow, goat and sheep. I'm entertaining the idea of dairy sheep, as a future possible revenue stream, as I haven't come across that in my immediate area. You guys are great. Yours is my favorite homesteader channel, hands down. Thank you for the knowledge, ideas and genuine entertainment! 💜💜💜
Awesome taste test! We just got 3 Nubian does. We really love goat milk and are excited about having our own supply. Really happy you guys are getting them as well.
When my son was born many years ago, he couldn't drink baby formula because he would upchuck everything, my grandma told me to get a goat and feed him the milk, it worked and he got fat off of it.
He thought the 4th was the same as the previous 2 because he never rinsed his mouth with water to clear his pallet in between tastes. So the 4th tasted the same.
Woo hoo, yeah! You (KNEW you) were on the money, Jaime, and Jeremy was really fun. Goats would be lucky to live on your farm. Cheese and soap next! Thanks for such a fun demonstration. I'm really enjoying your videos.
So interesting and a great way to test the milk. That was so fun to watch and Jeremy made me laugh when he got the milk mixed up. I cannot wait to see when you two get some goats and hopefully make some videos. Good luck and have a terrific Sunday!-----Tressa Daigle
I milked goats for years, and we loved it. THEN I tried goat milk at the State Fair. They were telling me how great it was, and I thought it was awful, compared to what I was getting. I had 2 grade goats, a toggenberg, and 2 alpines. I was very disappointed with what they acted so proud of. Theirs tasted of stinky billy goat, mine tasted like cow milk.I was kind of sorry all those people were trying it, and thought THAT was what goat milk tasted like.
You must be very, very clean with all milk. Soap, and boiling water, for your utensils, buckets, and so on, is your friend. Keep all your jars, and strainer very clean, and take your does away to be bred. Cool your milk down fast, too. You wouldn't keep a skunk in the fridge. Keep the stinky billy away from your girls. Some goats have a milder milk, and a lot depends on what you feed. If they graze on onion tops...guess what? onion-milk. If your barn is a sty? Your milk will suffer. If they can rub on a post where a billy rubbed, icky goat milk. Find someone with a clean barn, goats that are far away from the billy, and try their milk. My milk was good. My friend (with goats) her milk was good. People came to my house, put it in their coffee, and had no idea. It tasted like cow's milk. If they'd asked, I would have said. Nobody noticed.
I was raised on 'Skinny milk' too...I was blue...they color it now so it is white.. I will only drink raw milk..now and have no access ...so no milk...but it get powdered goat milk from Vitacost...if I need some milk additives for baking..works good.
+Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living ,, you nailed it woman! Funny. ( put all of your milk in glass bottles,, ok. If I can only get milk in a plastic container- the minute I get it home, I put it in a glass container. Organic all the way...lol). I rely dig goat milk, and goat meat.
Great idea to taste goat milk first. I'm a whole milk believer. :) We had a couple Dwarf Nigerians and they are awesome. The milk from a Dwarf Nigerian almost tastes like cream! Not at all goaty. And they can make quite a bit for their smaller size! Research CAE in goats and see how she handles her herd for it. Feel free to email me if you ever want to talk goats! Exciting! Your girls are going to love it!
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living I think so. I have to decide if I realistically have time to milk them though. Twice a day is hard. I think it will depend on how me working goes. I'm currently obsessing about getting a reindeer. Not even kidding.
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living someday when I can afford one. I'm not even sure if I'm allowed. I heard only the indigenous people could have them here, but then I read it was actually legal. So have to do some more research. I don't think I could ever harvest one for meat though. They are too beautiful to eat. Charles and the kids eat reindeer dogs. I couldn't eat it a magical creature. 😂 my friend is trying to get me to go with musk oxen. The fiber is amazing. I used to raise angora rabbits for fiber (and they are so sweet) and have a spinning wheel to use so maybe some day. 😊
Good job, guys! Too fun!! When I lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for two years, I was able to get goats milk and juiced it with carrots & beets! Yum, yum! You'll enjoy it!! (I now live in South Carolina, and have not had goats milk in a while. Might have to look for some!!)
Excellent!!!!!!!!! I loved it! You were right all along, even when he insisted you were wrong. Never had goats' milk, but I have had goat cheese and it is great!
It's very important to chill it immediately after milking the goat! I stick it straight into the freezer for an hour or more. If it stays warm too long, it will develop the strong flavor some people complain about.
Great channel, I'm hooked. Never tried goat milk and probably would have turned my head away if offered any, not that i see that happening, but now you've got me curious. Keep up the great work on your videos.
Great way to tell one from the other. It was fun watching this video. Maybe we will consider goats in the future. Thanks for another great video! I love this channel.
Love you all. Jeremy, you cracked me up. I had no doubt in my mind that you would both know the difference. I think I mentioned in another reply that I worked and managed dairy farms most of my life. Like Jeremy, I had fresh milk strait from the cow and loved it. I think one of you said blue milk. I had not heard that expression for so long. My dad would say Holsteins gave blue milk because it didn't have the butterfat content like a Jersey does. I have tried goat milk a few times from different farms. Everyone said theirs was better than any other farm. To me, all of the goat milk that I tried smelled like a billy goat and I just couldn't sip it. So in saying that, where you plan on purchasing theses goats, must be doing a great job. Great video. Thanks. Blessings
I I love your videos! I'm always happy to see that you've posted a new video. Thanks for doing this taste test. I've never tried goat's milk. I need to try it as soon as possible.
I live close to a goat farm..they are actually certified so she can sell to the public...Goat milk is absolutely delicious. I have ulcers and many stomach problems. Goat milk does not irritate my stomach at all. Also, it's great if a human baby can't tolerate the baby can or powder milk, Goat milk is as close to mothers milk as you can get. She also has a very small room about 10x10 as gift shop but sells goat milk, and cheese...also raw honey as well... Goat milk is the healthiest milk you can buy in my opinion. Go with the goats...pigs are stinky lol.....btw I live in South Carolina...about 10 miles from Clemson Uni.....Goat milk soap is also good... Goat milk is full of nature vitamins.
YAYYYYYYY GOATS!!! LOL Now when you played this back and saw how happy her face was I just bet that sealed the goat 🐐 deal for sure! LOL Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living Oh I'm certain of that!!! I sure hope it didn't come across as me being rude? I would never be disrespectful or one of those who try and sneak little snarky digs in. I genuinely enjoy your channel. You're love for each other and the respect you have for one another shines through your videos. You're one of my favorite UA-cam couples. Well your channel in general is one of my favorites even though I'm a newbie. If my comment seemed at all flippant I am truly sorry. I just enjoyed seeing the joy and excitement.
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living Well good! You never really know how something is perceived in type. I really dislike some of the poopy stuff people say on UA-cam anyway. Especially those who make those "sneaky" comments. I'm a straight forward type person myself. You guys are just super adorable and have a great sense of humor. Thanks for sharing the journey. I'm shutting up now! LOL
I like cooking and cheeses made from Goat milk, But not for drinking, But in all honesty, It does make a difference on the kind of goats you have too, thanks for sharing
I love the effort yall put into these videos. Great production and always a learning moment. Great work! We just bought a share on a local dairy cow for raw milk but we haven't gotten our first jug yet. We'll be... thinking about goats ;)
Important to remember to chill the milk quickly. We raised goats and I always chilled the milk fast and my kids and husband loved the milk as much as cow milk. Later, when we couldn't raise our own goats, I bought goat milk 1 time from a lady who let her milk sit on the kitchen counter for a while before bottling it ( I found that out later) and it was ghastly!!!!!😱 It is just as expensive to raise poorly bred goats as it is well bred ones. Goats do not need to be purebred to be excellent and thrifty goats but don't be afraid to cull goats that do not perform in terms of flavor of milk, ease of milking, temperament, ease of kidding, successful breeding, multiple births. If you don't judiciously cull you are just passing on negative traits. Most goats have twins and many will have triplets or quads. You don't want to have to call a vet for every birth.
Drink water before drinking the next variable. The remnants of the previous liquid are still there and the chemical reactions (the receptors) on our tongue caused the last three mills to taste similar. Our tongues cannot taste (advanced biology-chemistry), it’s the foods elements that make our bodies perceive taste. This was an interesting video to watch, looked fun. Now I’m off to purchase some goats milk for the first time today.
😆This is so hilarious. He thought he knew which ones were goat's milk. Definitely answered my question as to whether raw goat's milk tastes like raw cow's milk.
My children in the 90s couldn't have regular milk or anything like that they were raised on goat's milk from day one they couldn't even have formula unless it was soy
I just watched Willow Creek Homestead and they were looking at purchasing some goats and did an interview and taste test with the owner of the goats. the owner said that the taste of the milk depended on the breed of sheep but also the way the milk is handled ( she cooled it in a freezer for an hour to get it to 40 degrees as fast as possible)and the type of feed that that is fed to the goats (she didn't say what they were feeding their goats). I love your videos.
I was surprised, when I lived in Devon, UK, we used to sell goats milk and the smell was very strong. I used to suggest they freeze the milk before consuming, especially for kids that had cow milk allergies and we're having to crossover to goat milk. Perhaps it's a different grass yield that makes a difference.
We added a goat to our homestead and I have not tasted Goat Milk before. Our goat will not be making milk until after the house is built. I think we may try this as well.
I grew up on a small farm in the 1950's and 1960's I live in W.Va. I had a milk goat and I did not like goats milk!!!! But I gave a lady next door the milk for her new baby who had been sick a lot and the milk really helped him. 🐐🐐🐐👍🏼😊
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living It might have been the goat I wonted a pony but I got a $13 milk goat that I had to milk 5:00 am before school. But she was a wonderful pet!!!))) I loved growing up there and that life style. This was a fun video!!!))) Thanks🐐🐐🐐👍🏼😊
I am allergic to cow's milk. It is not the lactose, it is something with the protein that makes the milk from a cow and not another animal (namely goat). I will admit I don't drink much milk at all but I never really noticed a difference in taste.
Cow milk with only the A2 beta-casein protein are more tolerable for those with an allergy. Much of the milk that causes intolerance has the A1 protein.
Thanks for that startling information, V-Form, but I let my daughters decide when they were done breastfeeding. It wasn't my decision to make. But thanks for that unsolicited advice.
Loved that! You had it all figured out Taste test Ninja! I was considering goats but my concern is what to do with the babies? I don't think I could process a goat and if I didn't sell the babies that's what I'd have to do. Big decisions and I look forward to this new chapter on your Homestead. 👍🏼
I have nubians and love them. The amount of milk and the fat in the milk can vary from goat to goat and breed to breed. Ask to see the milking records of the dam, if the owner has kept them. Milk is measured in weight not liquid ounces. A gallon will weigh about 8 lbs. If possible also ask to see the buck's dam's milk record. (this may not be possible.) This will give you an idea of what you can expect of your goat. As to registered, it is up to the owner. There are multiple classes of goats-pure bred registered, pure but unregistered, grade- a mix and may or may not be registered, and of course scrub-your guess as to the breed. This doesn't mean a pure bred registered will milk any better than a scrub. Again it varies by goat. I recommend getting a good dairy goat book to refer to and keep the phone number of an experienced goat keeper on hand.

WHERE DO I GET RAW GOAT MILK IN NIGERIA
Nigerian Dwarf Goats are great, they have the highest butterfat content

Things are out of control over here
Jamie, you nailed it. 100%. And you didn't have to think about it. You ARE a tasting expert.
Catching up on old episodes since discovering you guys. I have to say, this episode made me laugh my head off. You guys have great chemistry and put out great content. Thank you very much. Our family loves following.
That was a very smart way of doing that. I didn't even think about going and getting the milk to taste tested if we even like it. Thank you
Yep it sure helps to know what you are getting into before you spend the money and time!
Hilarious! Absolutely you nailed it! It takes a real good man to admit an error. You both are amazing! 👍
I bought goat milk from a supermarket and it tasted “gamey.” That’s the best way I could describe it. You guys made me change my mind about goat milk and perhaps having goats in my future.
Totally depends on the breed and what they eat.
That was both educational and fun to watch. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching :0)
Thanks for this video. I was thinking about goats to help me manage grass/weeds and to get milk, but was afraid I wouldn't like it.

LittleImpaler it taste like a barn right ? Hahaha
Sheep is my go to milk 💯
I've tried goat milk a few times and it tasted exactly like a goat smells. It's nasty.
Goat milk is great! It's also written in the Book of Proverbs for us to put in our foods!!
Raw goats milk taste so much different than pasteurized goat’s milk… I hope you take this into account. Raw goats milk is so much better tasting!
Just a tip...the trick to getting really good tasting goat and cow milk is not only what you feed them, but making sure that before you milk them, give them a good brushing, wash off the teats, and make sure you don't get any hair in that milk. Y'all are so cute!
great video guys, im really surprised that they tasted that close together. for me as a kid it was an acquired taste. hope you guys enjoy what looks like an up coming goat adventure
And the cow milk we used was amazing tasting cow milk...so to be so close in taste says something about the quality of her goat milk!
Even with one goat thats so much milk. There is a youtube video of a surfer vegan guy in hawaii who had arthritis or something so he got some goats and drank their milk and healed his body.
LOL at him screwing up the video and causing you confusion. I enjoyed watching this video, you both have a new subscriber.

good for you!! awesome taste testing!! that was fun!
It was for us too!

Cute segment, thanks for the demo.

He thought the 4th was the same as the previous 2 because he never rinsed his mouth with water to clear his pallet in between tastes. So the 4th tasted the same.
I truly enjoyed his skepticism 🤨 🤣 🤣
Woo hoo, yeah! You (KNEW you) were on the money, Jaime, and Jeremy was really fun. Goats would be lucky to live on your farm. Cheese and soap next! Thanks for such a fun demonstration. I'm really enjoying your videos.
LOL ya I love food a LOT so I was surprised (and totally disbelieved him) when he said I was wrong!
Great idea! I grew up on a farm and LOVE that first glass out of the pitcher lol. lots of cream!
So interesting and a great way to test the milk. That was so fun to watch and Jeremy made me laugh when he got the milk mixed up. I cannot wait to see when you two get some goats and hopefully make some videos. Good luck and have a terrific Sunday!-----Tressa Daigle
Thanks Tressa. It should be fun!
Too cute, just found your site and cant stop watching!
Welcome Jackie!
Great video. I been thinking about getting goats for the milk, not just pets.
You guys look like you go well together. Really cute couple. Loved the video.
I don't think my condo will allow goats on the balcony lol. Good luck with the goat venture. Cant wait to see videos about it. Well done :-)
House goat LOL!
That's my concern; I hate the smell of "goat's milk soap" products, so I worry that milk from an actual goat would taste like that.
She already knew because YOU SAID THE COW MILK WAS SWEETER & she new which one was sweeter
I was raised on 'Skinny milk' too...I was blue...they color it now so it is white.. I will only drink raw milk..now and have no access ...so no milk...but it get powdered goat milk from Vitacost...if I need some milk additives for baking..works good.
I'm looking forward to watching your goat adventure.
Hopefully really soon! Just need a fence..and house...and milking stand...and feed..and...and...and lol
Yep I already asked her about it. Do you think you will get them again?
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living I think so. I have to decide if I realistically have time to milk them though. Twice a day is hard. I think it will depend on how me working goes. I'm currently obsessing about getting a reindeer. Not even kidding.
I'm sure you've read how much more digestible goats milk is. 🐐
I've read a bit on reindeer as a good source of both meat and dairy. It may be a better option than goats in Alaska. Now THAT would be an adventure!!!
Carrot/beet goat milk smoothie! Sounds extremely healthy! Thanks for sharing :0)
Excellent!!!!!!!!! I loved it! You were right all along, even when he insisted you were wrong.
Never had goats' milk, but I have had goat cheese and it is great!
We just got our Nigerian dwarfs. Can’t wait to try their milk. Good stuff!
Its so cool to see you two in the same video! you guys are adorable :)
Thanks Ed and let us know if you ever try it! Just make sure it's fresh!
Such a fun video. Thanks!
The taste of the milk depends some on what you feed it. Like cows if they get into a field of onion-you won't want their milk for a few days.
Correct
Great way to tell one from the other. It was fun watching this video. Maybe we will consider goats in the future. Thanks for another great video! I love this channel.
Thanks Pat :0)
Taste test starts at 8:41
You legend
Thanks. Blessings
They really are! Fantastic dairy!
He's a keeper!
I couldn't agree more :0)
Love this one - you're a sweet team - I really like that. I don't live to far from you and hopefully I see you out one day.
This was fun to watch
Next step, goats milk icecream! It is a bit dangeious for me to have it around, I have a hard time eating just one bowlfull.
I've actually made goat milk ice cream, no difference in taste of cow milk ice cream...
I I love your videos! I'm always happy to see that you've posted a new video. Thanks for doing this taste test. I've never tried goat's milk. I need to try it as soon as possible.
It was a fun experiment :0)
You didn't clean your palette inbetween tastes. Need to eat a non salted cracker in-between to reset taste buds.
Yup! I live in upstate South Carolina and raw cow milk is almost always in our fridge.
That was right on time! I've been thinking about getting goats from my neighbor...but unsure about the milk difference.
The feed and milk lines has a lot to do with taste. Be sure to try it first :0)
YAYYYYYYY GOATS!!! LOL Now when you played this back and saw how happy her face was I just bet that sealed the goat 🐐 deal for sure! LOL Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
+Lisa Booker I'm just happy we both liked it :0)
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living Oh I'm certain of that!!!
I didn't take it that way at all! (as in not disrespectful or rude at all). We ARE happy it tasted good and yes! That means goats! It's all good! :0)
She made us some goat cheese as well. It was amazing! I am looking forward to making some
I love the effort yall put into these videos. Great production and always a learning moment. Great work! We just bought a share on a local dairy cow for raw milk but we haven't gotten our first jug yet. We'll be... thinking about goats ;)
Awesome! Raw cow milk is amazing too!
Great advice Andrea. Thanks for sharing!
My grandkids all drink goat milk since they're two months old and no issues! They wouldn't be able to do that with cow milk!
why not?
My children in the 90s couldn't have regular milk or anything like that they were raised on goat's milk from day one they couldn't even have formula unless it was soy
I just watched Willow Creek Homestead and they were looking at purchasing some goats and did an interview and taste test with the owner of the goats. the owner said that the taste of the milk depended on the breed of sheep but also the way the milk is handled ( she cooled it in a freezer for an hour to get it to 40 degrees as fast as possible)and the type of feed that that is fed to the goats (she didn't say what they were feeding their goats). I love your videos.
+Maryqc1960 Yes that is correct. Goats for everyone ;0)
That was fun! I grew up with my own milk goat :)
LoL this was the funniest loved the mess up.
I love watching you guys!!!
+Lesley Oliver Some breeds have a stronger taste than others too. Could be breed, feed, or genetics
I grow up drinking goats milk it taste good. it's too bad it's hard to find at the local store.
awesome video, you two are great together
We added a goat to our homestead and I have not tasted Goat Milk before. Our goat will not be making milk until after the house is built. I think we may try this as well.
Cow’s A2 milk is the best for health. However, type A1 is by hybrid cows cause so many health issues...
Just found your channel. Hoping to get goats but have never tasted the milk.
Will need to try this with the missus.
+Joseph DeMato Best of luck!
Great video, we also plan to get a couple goats down the road. Can't wait to see the new additions.
+Katie Grazier Thanks!
I love your farm. Keep up the good work
I grew up on a small farm in the 1950's and 1960's I live in W.Va. I had a milk goat and I did not like goats milk!!!! But I gave a lady next door the milk for her new baby who had been sick a lot and the milk really helped him. 🐐🐐🐐👍🏼😊
Sorry to hear it Steve...I wonder if it was goat's milk in general or just the breed/feed/goat line? The mom next door was sure lucky to have you
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living It might have been the goat I wonted a pony but I got a $13 milk goat that I had to milk 5:00 am before school. But she was a wonderful pet!!!))) I loved growing up there and that life style. This was a fun video!!!))) Thanks🐐🐐🐐👍🏼😊
BWAHAHAHA! You wanted a horse and got a goat you had to milk where you didn't even like the goat milk. You got hosed Steve!
Guildbrook Farm | Simple Sustainable Living I sure did but I ended up loving that goat. Thanks🐐🐐🐐👍🏼😊
Great video. Even though the guy screwed it up, he was man enough to admit the small error. ✊ RESPECT
I thoroughly enjoyed this Video !!!!!!!!
Thanks! It was fun to make
That was awesome and very funny!
my goat suppliers have told me that what the goats eat make a significant difference too.
It definitely does
17mins to try two different types of milk??
Loved that! You had it all figured out Taste test Ninja! I was considering goats but my concern is what to do with the babies? I don't think I could process a goat and if I didn't sell the babies that's what I'd have to do. Big decisions and I look forward to this new chapter on your Homestead. 👍🏼
+Kimberly Mossman Yes definitely something to consider beforehand. They multiply!
