The Tommy Edison Experience I know this might sound insensitive, and I don't doubt that you're blind, but how do you type comments on videos, or who types them for you?
"Oh you got to hold it up for the camera" *Tommy holds it up backwards.* *Jump Cut* *Tommy is now holding it the right way* I am dying. I could watch these two everyday together. They should co-host a show.
Oh, I have never realized that the difference between person who was born blind and who became blind later in life is that huge. Just the body language and stuff. How she "looks up" when she thinks about a taste or how they hold a glass. But, amazing shows you both have, guys.
KimmyL yeah, it’s very interesting. She still looks towards people when listening to them and what not, because that’s just what we do. Tommy just sits there because he’s never experienced any of that stuff.
Wait the girl is blind?! :D I legit thought she wasn't. When she mentioned "I wonder what color this drink is" my first thought was "Is she colorblind?" :D .
@@dicio4001 well and she isnt 100% blind she once told she is about 99% blind she can still see very little like some rough shapes. She said its like when you look into a mirror after taking a long hot shower.
I love that both Tommy and Christine try to hand the bags to each other without saying anything, presumably because they're both used to being around sighted people. It's those little details that make watching stuff like this fascinating; you really get to appreciate little slices of life you rarely think about.
Tommy: I would eat that again Christine: See, I think if I were 9 years old I would eat that again... No, I mean, no offense Tommy: How dare you! This cracked me up
Wellington Smith Yes yes you are a genius!!! 💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️ ❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜 This comment cracked me up so hard.... I was always wandering if Tommy and Christine have tried Lobster or Octopus or maybe Shark. To be honest I hate Octopus though. Wellington Smith Yes if you do not clean the Octopus it will mess up your senses. Have you ever smelled crack and cocaine?? I didn't realize this before but when I was 13 and 14 years old, I smelled something that was putrid as hell. Now I am disabled and I was born at 24 weeks early. I didn't know what the smell was at the time. It was Crack and fucking Cocaine. I actually was puking for 2 or 3 years because of those drugs. I am Visually Impaired and when someone has Vision Impairments there are therapists that will teach you how to use your other senses to detect different things. I was puking for 2 or 3 years.
"I am very American when it comes to my eating." Then 2 minutes later: "Anything from the pig makes me gag. ... No bacon, no sausage, no roast pork, nothing." Choose one or the other, Tommy.
I haven't tried to smell a bag of Hi-Chew before but I found it interesting how quickly Tommy recognized a fruit smell even though he was smelling the bag filled of still individually wrapped candies. I just tried smelling a similar bag of individual wrapped candies and couldn't smell a damn thing haha.
Well when one sense goes the others are a bit amped to compensate. You ever turned down the music when trying to find someones house or something like that while in a car? It seems like "why would I turn down music to help me see?" But it has basis in practice. Try it next time maybe. Close your eyes and actually focus on smelling something. Without the extra input from other senses the one you focus on is a bit more enhanced. In Tommy's case his whole life and ability to survive has been dependent on his scent, sound, and touch so hes developed those senses more
I saw Tommy's video, and you said you might be scared to see how you might look older since you have lost your vision. I just want to say, I thought you were actually way younger than you are. So, don't worry.
When he handed her the hi-chew, he expected her to pick it up, forgetting she's blind too. After few seconds he remembered and said "here you go" and she reached to the bag. Fascinating!
This is so cute. I fell in love with Christine on Masterchef. She has such a beautiful, bubbly personality. I almost always forget that she's blind until she actually has to look for something. I love people that live life to the fullest, regardless of their mental or physical handicaps. Kudos to the both of them!
oh my when she said i am guessing it is dried squid and tommy's face went pale and he looked ill. . . .sorry tommy but cracked me up!! you guys collab so well together! I think you both seem so nice and I appreciate how cheery and happy you both are!
10:00 "look at that he says, like he can see it" *snyde comment* HAHA She's hilarious, i love it. I also love how he always uses those words, "oh i never saw that before, its nice to see that for the first time" and the alltime classic "oh cool, so thats what these look like". God i love him.
I like how both of them hold the bag of snacks open for each other like when you are sharing with someone else, but they couldn't see it haha. Love this video and I hope you guys do more content together!
If I am ever having a bad day, a video with either of these two can turn it right around. You are both such pleasant and joyful personalities I just love it!
Will you have a mail box where Subscribers can send foods from their countries?? I would love to send you snacks to try from Switzerland! Amazing video 💕
If I could see her talking to somebody I would definitely think she sees! She looks at the bags when she's opening them and she looks at Tommy when she talks to him.
Yeah, sorry to comment on old old comment, but it's just interesting to me how Christine looks AT Tommy when he speaks, but when looking at someone farther away, her eyes seem a bit less focused

OK something incredibly really neat and fairly comedic when you have two blind people interacting with items with each other. It's literally watching two blindfolded people do things incredibly well because that's their life.
I don't like any pork products either, and I think this is the first time I've heard someone else who eats meat say they don't like pork! X) This was so much fun to watch!! Thanks Christine and Tommy! :D

Pocari Sweat is more of a sports drink...just like how people drink Gatorade in the US, people sometimes drink Pocari Sweat (or another similar drink) after or during sports.
I'm a big fan of Pocari Sweat. To me it tastes like watered down green grape juice. It's a sports drink and it's stopped to replace what you lose when you sweat. I actually just spent a couple weeks in Japan and I saw it everywhere. Almost every vending machine had it.
Phil Nolan I love Pocari Sweat too! The manufacturer Otsuka Seiyaku is a huge pharmaceutical company. My friend who worked at a hospital said drinking it is equivalent to hitting a high brand drip. I like to believe it and use it as an excuse to drink Pocari every time I feel a little bit ill.

The western cooking methods are always bad for cooking pork, I have discovered. In Asia we always chop it up into small pieces and cook it with a lot of seasoning or spice or something like that
Thanks for having me on, Christine!

I lived in Japan for 4 years. Hi-Chews are one of my favorites. It reminds me of Laffy Taffy.
I love Hi-Chew
You can actually buy them in the states, at least where I live. They're so good
Hi-Chew is made in the USA
it reminds me of starbursts
i don’t live in japan but in singapore we have hi chew and used to eat that before and after school
