- It was my 29th climb of Ben Nevis, 6x done CMD ( Carn Mor Dearg ) on Monday 13.2.2023. I have climbed Ben Nevis each month in a Year in all conditions, also via the CMD arete in snow before... In this video I wanted to show how it looks and what to expect on the ridge in Winter conditions. It was icy and slippery, more snow would help in this case as the icy rock was slippery. Some places covered by snow incl. the final ascent on Ben Nevis and all the top, were very slippery as the snow was Icy - hard.
Hope you will enjoy the video and get some ideas what is it about there on the Ridge and on the Top, mostly so different from the warmer and clearer bottom...
Please don't take it like a guiding video, it was just my own Winter Adventure. Stay safe in the Mountains folks, always search and plan ahead, be prepared and never underestimate the Mountain / weather and overestimate your abilities.

Been there 2X but not CMD yet. Tried CMD last Feb but the extreme winds turned us back & so unsafe😬 Might try again this winter🙏

Thank you Emmelie, Cheyenne did Ben Nevis with me already - 2 years ago. I have some plans for the 30th ascend, using a different route...but I may just end up to do it up and down and save the special one for another jubilee 🙂
