Hello, my lovely earthlings! So great to have you back!!! If you are new to my channel, my name is Mari. Please make yourself comfortable. 🤓
As some of you who follows me on Instagram may know, I went on a 2-week backpacking trip in Scotland this month and to commence my funsized adventure, I was invited by Monty Outdoors to join him & his lovely friends for a 2-night wild camp-at Loch Turret and a summit camp on Ben Chonzie!
We headed up Ben Chonzie, a 931 metres high munro, after a wild swim and some kayaking on Loch Turret. A beautiful sunset awaits, and I woke up to a stunning sunrise.
I have not explored this part of Scotland much so massive thanks to Monty and his crew for having me!!! 🙏🏼

Looks like a good spot :) Nice to get out with others not just for the companionship but to share the load (not referring to your monster pack BTW) and be able to bring things like drones and boats :)

I climbed Ben Chonzie from Comrie and it was really boring the way you went looked loads better, I might need to do it again.

That was one big backpack for an hours walk but it was a very scenic spot. The canoe looed fun but I would not feel safe in a rubber/canvass? one to be honest. I remember watching someone cook next to rocks and one exploded, due to the heat, looked dam scary and your food looked very colourful and filling. On a warm morning, the swim must have been invigorating but man, those midges looked a mare. Loved the setting sun, a colourful sky and the right amount of drome footage. What a stunning morning to wake up too and worth the hard assent the previous day just for that alone. Cheers Alan

The kayak was actually very stable and sturdy. We did not feel unsafe, which is great. That exploding rock sounds scary!! Glad it didn’t happen here..

You must be so fit, the size of your pack is massive, I think I would die carrying that. I really need to purchase a free standing tent. My lanshan will struggle at wind or in the cold.
