I 100% relate to this. Splurged on a few Pokémon games recently and I should just replay what I have first since it’s been years since I have played any of them. Don’t be so hard on yourself. At least you can sell them later on if you wanted. Maybe the price will be even more then

I feel this so hard. Covid really reignited my passion for retro game buying since we were all cooped up in the house. It gave me time to go back and play through some of my old favorites and the FOMO of seeing prices skyrocket like that definitely got to me too. Nowadays if I go in a retro game store, I feel bad if I leave empty handed since I want to see these stores thrive, so they're extremely dangerous for me to go in if I need to save some cash haha. A lot of people already stayed 6 feet away from each other and wore masks in 2020. They already wore masks to protect themselves from being exposed to the virus. A lot of people are already socially distancing in 2020! But in 2021, a lot of people are fully vaccinated and boosted!! I am fully vaccinated, too!

Buyer's remorse is a difficult thing for me because I tend to be pretty mindful with how I spend. Although if you were to see my backlog though this would seem incredibly false. Personally, if I am able to get something for the price I can afford and maybe even get some bonuses, I don't see it as a wasted purchase. I think my most memorable experience with buyer's remorse though was with Street Fighter 5 at launch. It was set up to be the next big fighting game, and because this was during my early exposure to the FGC community I was very excited to give it a shot. What I got was a very incomplete game for $60 with the expectation to buy all the DLC fighters at an additional cost. The game as of current is complete and feature rich, but the letdown I felt of a game that promised a lot and then delivered very little felt like a backstab. For retro games/collectibles there are probably many pieces that I could be without. But I do find fulfillment in seeing the passion and interests be quantified (at least that's the excuse I tell myself). Excellent video Yello!

Pinball is at least a super banger game
I still remember buying my Japanese copy of it since it was one of my childhood games I thought it would've been cool lol
Probably not the smartest option, but I think it was $10 so it felt pretty ok lol
