Thought about this a lot, and got down to a list of like 26 ppl, the talent in this league is so insane man. My list ended up as: Wemby, Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Shai, Ant, Tatum, Paolo, Ja, Brunson. Next guys up for me were Chet, Mobley, Cade and J-Dub (with Zion as a HUGE question mark)
That's a good list. I think Brunson vs Cade in this is interesting. Obviously, Brunson's much better, but he is 5 years older. It depends on if you think Cade can reach Brunson's level or surpass it. I like Cade but I'm not sure if I can see that. I'm guessing Lamelo isn't here cause of injurie concerns?
@donsnow8039 Nailed it on the Cade predicament. I had LaMelo in the same group as Maxey, Haliburton, Trae and Fox. Cade should be in here somewhere or in honorable mention his versatility on both ends and what he’s been doing with what he has to work with in this Pistons roster is underrated.
the nerds don't care about both ends AT ALL. the care only about offense. even then cade should get honorable mention --look at his assists!!!! they want to bed jokic for assists but ignore the players dishing more than the big man.

Even with all the flaws I still believe Embiid belongs on this list even if its just at like 10th, we seem to have forgotten just how dominate he was last season before getting hurt (he was literally the run away MVP before the injuries). I know he has serious playoff and health concerns but I just don't think some of these lower tier guys will ever be as good as what Embiid was last year, I'm hoping for a comeback so we can see what he's really capable of as a number 1 option.
Jokic below 1 is one thing with wemby but below 2 is insane, esp when it's based off of a fake narrative as if he dosen't live for basketball, he hates THE MEDIA or atleast dislikes it, he's become more competetive and he's as competetive as any player ever
Love the show but think it's crazy how you're projecting with paolo while franz DID lead an offense and can also improve as a pullup shooter, and he's better defensively and playmaking wise
I understand some of Logan's reasoning, cause at the end of the day this is about starting a franchise with, but damn. Ant over Luka and SGA over Jokic is just mindblowing. He is concerned about Luka's physical health but not Ants mentality which is essential. He is collapsing right now. As for SGA, he is just lucky to be sorrounded by great players.
Saying sga is lucky to have good teammates is a crazy casual take. Luka has 2 superstars on his team and ant has like 5 dpoy winner along with decent pieces. Sga has an injured number 2 no real shooters. Dub who is still young and unpolished. Ihart who is good and a bunch of great perimeter defenders but poor shooters
Chet had a decent stretch of games at the beginning of the year. Otherwise, he has been an average player and injured for 3 years. Average and injured will define his career.
Good on Carson for not falling victim to recency bias. Shai is great and he’s having an mvp season but he’s just not on Luka’s level as an elite playmaker and 3 level scorer. Logan’s list is bat shit lol

The hype around Wemby is unreal. We’re talking about a 21-year-old player, and we still don’t know if everything we’re expecting from him is even achievable. First, there’s talk about him needing to put on more mass, but we’ve seen plenty of players who never managed to do that. Then, there’s the question of how his performance will translate to the playoffs, where most players struggle to match their regular-season stats. Finally, we’re acting as though he’s guaranteed to maintain this level of play for years to come, despite his body type being one of the most injury-prone in the sport. Let’s pump the brakes and let his career unfold naturally. Wemby’s potential is undeniable, but the NBA is full of unpredictable challenges, and there’s no way to guarantee success until he proves it over time.
I get pump the breaks but every time I watch him he just seems more and more ready for the moment. Maybe not number 1, but he’s top 5 for me for sure. Gotta disagree with you on the weight though, I feel like a slight amount might be good, but you don’t want to be super heavy and making your joints carry that load when you’re that big and play like a guard. Frankly, I think the big weight gain has tremendously hurt embiid’s career, where as guys like KD who have stayed slim have even managed to come back from what would normally be career ending injuries for 7 footers just as good.
i’ll take bronny james and starting him every game as point guard. he will ensure tanking and lottery picks. by the 7th-8th year the squad will have more talent as a whole than if you start with wemby 😂
Anyone who chooses wemby over Luka doesn’t know ball! Luka is the greatest prospect probably ever in the NBA. Look at Luka resume before he entered the NBA and what he has accomplished so far. What was Wemby doing at as a teenager compared to Luka? Please educate yourself people. I'll take the guy who won rookie of the year, has more all-star appearances, more 1st team All-NBA's, was named scoring champion, has the third highest scoring average in nba history, has made multiple Conference finals appearances, and led his team to the NBA finals. He’s Breaking every single record since he came into the league, yet he gets disrespected from the media consistently, because they’re afraid of him being in the GOAT conversation and because he’s white too. They can’t have a white boy be the GOAT of the league.
Umm maybe wembys second year just starting so he doesn't have that that resume yet???? Lol. And luka has no defense while wemby is best defender in NBA.

@@markuskramer8666 lol Jokic is 29 years old and Wemby is 20 averaging 25.5 PPG 10 RPG 3.9 APG and 3.9 BPG on 48/35.5/88 splits. Who do a team want a 20 year old that is putting up stats that have not seen since prime Kareem and prime Hakeem or a prime Jokic that is a liability on defense.
@ wemby playstyle and body type scream future injury and he has yet to make the postseason to show if his numbers translate to playoffs. Jokic is top 5 in steals, deflections and defensive rebounds while also having a top defensive box plus minus in the league, I know your a wemby fan but I would easily take the player that makes his whole team raise to the highest scoring offense in the history of the league than a player averaging 25. As for defense Jokic is second in defensive box plus minus way way above wemby on that stat blocks aren’t everything
For Melo to get above them I would like to see him in a playoff setting and also seeing him play less "erratically"; even though it's absurdly fun to watch him play rn - I'm not sure it translates to winning basketball.
I think a good video idea (it is kinda similar to this) have a mock expansion draft where yall are each a gm of one of the new team and of course just rule out the top guys from each team
Luke Kornet got snubbed button
He’s getting a little older. How many more years of his incredible level of play will you get?
I cant belive Luka has been to 2 cf in 3 years, to a final, 5 consecutive first team all nba and hes getting criticised for last year while playing the whole playoffs on one leg and literally getting injections before every game. Just stop please
His health is a concern.
Hate to say it, durability is becoming a bigger and bigger concern for Luka. If he could maintain jokic durability, he’s definitely on that level, but he can’t, and it’s starting to impact his effectiveness.
Cade should be in here somewhere or in honorable mention his versatility on both ends and what he’s been doing with what he has to work with in this Pistons roster is underrated.
the nerds don't care about both ends AT ALL. the care only about offense.
even then cade should get honorable mention --look at his assists!!!! they want to bed jokic for assists but ignore the players dishing more than the big man.
nexttime put the players' faces and stats on the screen cause ima casual but i like the vibes so ill sub
The public is tired of the Giannis disrespect, just look at the all star votes. He’s our pick no matter what ya’ll say.
Ya’ll speak about him as if he’s disposable and not the all time great he is.
Fighting the air rn lol
It is not that deep man lol
Agreed. Having him that far below jokic when they’re the same age is a bit silly. Below paolo come on 😂
Even with all the flaws I still believe Embiid belongs on this list even if its just at like 10th, we seem to have forgotten just how dominate he was last season before getting hurt (he was literally the run away MVP before the injuries). I know he has serious playoff and health concerns but I just don't think some of these lower tier guys will ever be as good as what Embiid was last year, I'm hoping for a comeback so we can see what he's really capable of as a number 1 option.
The disappointment in Carson’s face when Logan is talking about Ant is so funny 🤣🤣🤣 Believe That.
Logan’s romantic longing undermines his objective appraisal.
If this was anyone but Luka people would be mentioning them being injured in the playoffs all the time. With Luka they dont care at all.
Chet had a decent stretch of games at the beginning of the year. Otherwise, he has been an average player and injured for 3 years. Average and injured will define his career.
Logan I’m disappointed you don’t have Naz Reid on your list smh
I am convinced Logan doesnt care and watch the mavs and how different Luka plays this season. Its not even close to previous seasons
Good on Carson for not falling victim to recency bias. Shai is great and he’s having an mvp season but he’s just not on Luka’s level as an elite playmaker and 3 level scorer. Logan’s list is bat shit lol
Jokic aint hanging it up, lets be real, nobody hangs it when they ll get a 5 year 440 mill extension next summer😂
He ll play at least till 38, if not even in his early 40s, probably the first player to have 1 billion career earnings
52:50 pause
guys please stop arguing about SGA and ANT its scaring the kids
can carson ever allow logan to have his own take?
No I’m sorry a 26 year old who plays both ends at an elite level. This can’t be real BRUNSON ISNT IN THE UNIVERSE. do me a favor and check out the on off numbers for Tatum this year. Check out tatums numbers by touches and usage rate. HE IS THE SUPER TEAM
The thing abt Luka is all the the criticism Luka is getting now is now new. Luka plays banged up every yr. Luka is never been good defensively. Luka is fairly one dimensional offensively
He’s getting killed rn for it but this has always been true
Shai’s fighting through crazy traffic, those wings do not keep the defense honest
hi carson and logan
Yall Tatum takes have n will continue to age poorly lol
Best n Easiest to build around are two diff things.
JTs scheme versatility n portability make him by far the easiest player to build around
Wembys potential n jokic n giannis upside justify those guys being higher
But im taking Tatum. N I think we’ll see Tatum competevmore consistently even as the Celtics roster continues to change. N I say continues bc Tatum has made the ecf w 4 diff supporting casts/ iterations of this team.
logan just say whatever shit
sga is not the best guard in the nba, and putting him above luka when luka has done way more with less talent
why is giannis so low..... wtf is wrong with nerd sesh? you guys are not basketball smart.
the dude putting up 32/12/6 on 60% while playing elite versatile defense should be #1 or at worst #2
he can play off ball, on ball, get shots off assists, create for himself, for others, one of the most athletic players in the league, fast, handles the ball, playmakes, improves every season etc etc
i need nerd sesh to explain why they're on a personal mission to diminish giannis' value. please make an entire episode justifying your take on giannis.
wemby i understand. jokic i don't. jokic is playing TWO MINS with only 1 starter. the rest he's playing with 2+ starters.
other guys are out their carrying bench units and jokic beautiful and deceptive on/off has idiots thinking he has more value 😂😂😂
different systems lead to different stat lines. if you actually watch games, you know what's up.
No Cade smh
Luka is a worse defender than Brunson?
This year Luka is better defender than Jokic let alone Brunson
@ I was just questioning what Logan said about Luka being the worst defender in his list
@@benburrow2993 and I affirmed that.
Wemby is still only potential not a sure thing he will be all that
Definitely not only potential he is a stamped to 5 defender of the planet and is having unbelievable flashes offensively consistently
Of course he's still only 20 (for 1 day), but he's on the path man.
Wemby is top 5 in MVP as a 2nd year player. Wemby is the only untouchable player in the NBA. Their is nobody in the NBA that the Spurs would even consider trading Wemby for and that includes Jokic but Nuggets on the other hand would not think twice about trading Jokic for Wemby.
@@Fawnswine delusion
Wemby didnt prove himself, he can become injury prone he can fold under pressure. You cant compere him to giannis luka and jokic yet
@@Nikola-yo6yf What have Jokic proved he choked vs the Timberwolves in game 7 shooting 46% from the field and 20% from 3 which is both well below his season average. In the playoffs you should be better not worst and he choked when it matter the most. His stats was down clean across the board vs the Timberwolves.
Carson still gives me believe that some podcasters still know what they are talking about. Logan is just pathetic
Chill out, bro. Logan is awesome. He's sick and still out for the podcast, and giving his best analysis. Try to gain some love for the game.
Having Tatum below Brunson is interesting…
Tuning out. Bye. You are but funny !
Yeah read the comments and these guys are dumber by the day. Is content creation just clickbait takes nowadays 😂unsubscribed
How do you have Mobley over JJJ? Better at O and D.
JJJ is older, and also he is not better at defense
There both better than Tatum, at least
i’ll take bronny james and starting him every game as point guard. he will ensure tanking and lottery picks. by the 7th-8th year the squad will have more talent as a whole than if you start with wemby 😂
Cade better than mobley idc
