man this cpu is still a beast, got to OC mine to 5.1 aswell and its trading blows up there with high end cpus of newer gens. Thanks for this upload people keep telling me my 8700k will bottleneck my future gpu will you try it out with other games?
No bottleneck at 4K, some at 1440p but 4080 is a bit overkill for that resolution. It's like having RTX 3090 at 1080p. Intel 12, 13 gen and Ryzen 7000 are quite much faster than 8700K, everything else not so much.

How bad is the bottle neck at 1080p? I just wanna see physically I understand why there is a bottle neck but what are the numbers if you could make a future video on that I would watch 💯💪🏼 keep up the great work 👍🏼

Msi afterburner does not want to startup in win11.
Using MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO64. Work in both win10 and win11 for me.

has the vram usage got any better? im nervous about buying a GPU that already uses up its available vram in a 4 year old game but it i cant tell if the game just needs that much or if its just unoptimized
DX11 use less vram than DX12 in this game. I think it's the api issue here. I use DX12 anyway as it's performing better with my setup.

I just don’t want to upgrade the hole thing after just three years with the 5700xt. But I play on 1440p and the 5700xt is showing it’s limits. Also I’m aware that there can be bottlenecks from my current hardware and might need to upgrade everything or buy an inferior card like 6800xt or 3080 so it can be more on par with my current hardware.
I think I just answered my question, but I would like to know your opinion.

Shouldn't be bad. If you tested your games at 720p you should know where you're at. Future games will more often come with DLSS 3 and be more GPU demanding.
Bottlenecks are overplayed really, just limit your framerate and be on your way really. Otherwise 9700k should scale fine especially at higher resolutions and if need be you can always upscale.
Update : Got the 4080.
I confirm I have severe bottlenecks on games like Warzone 2.
