- Well this was the hardest secret to keep from you for a week!! Are you surprised? Because I sure am lol. Today's video shows my nursing journey from when I decided this was the path I wanted to be on, through the highs and lows of applying, testing, getting rejected....oh and the crazy way I found out I got accepted. I have met SO many amazing people along this journey who are on their own journey into the medical field too. These people have kids, are re-taking classes, working multiple jobs, and are still waking up every day working hard towards their dream. They are overcoming unimaginable obstacles and I think about their determination constantly. If you are one of these people, keep being a rockstar. I'm proud of you, own your journey, and saver all the little moments along the way. Love you guys SO crazy much, thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me for this ride...we did it.

I got rejected from nursing school just a few weeks ago, and I've been so depressed. Ive been so sad and feeling like. a failure and I've seen so many people graduating and getting in nursing school. Ive literally been praying for a sign and this video has helped me see a little glimmer of light. I know you might not see this but thank you

I got rejected from several schools, it's a major bummer. But I kept at it, finally got into a school after being waitlisted, starting classes tomorrow morning. Don't give up. Keep at it and you WILL get in. It's a lot of rejections and depression, but everything turns around all at once as you as you get in. You got this.

Congratulations!! I'm from PA and I got waitlisted when I applied to nursing school and they called me 2 weeks after classes started and told me someone had dropped out and I was in. Now I have been an RN for 2 years. It was crazy. Best of luck!

This made me so emotional; I was rejected from the first nursing school I applied to too! Now I am a week and a half away from taking NCLEX and landed my dream job as a labor and delivery nurse! I'm so proud of you!! everything is meant to be, I was rejected from nursing school my first time around and got my first degree and felt so lost. I got in right after graduation after being waitlisted and I've officially been an ICU nurse for almost a year now and I know its how it was supposed to be. You're going to be amazing!!!

I cried more on this video than when I got accepted myself. I know the feeling so well. I got denied 3 semesters before being waitlisted and I also got picked up from the waitlist. I honestly didn’t have high hopes on the waitlist but it did feel good to not get a flat out rejection. I was in the middle of looking for a job before I got accepted. It was an amazing day or two before it sunk in. Congratulations!

I’ve literally been going through the same thing. I’ve been putting off watching this video because I knew I would get emotional. But yesterday I got an email from the last school I applied to that only accepts 30 students. I just knew it was another rejection but to my surprise I got in!!! Im so happy for you and your journey.

@@aliyahmichelle6569 my school waived the teas test because of covid and my gpa was a 3.3 (so not that high) but I reached out to the admissions advisor and I became close with her and she put in a good word for me :)

I got rejected from all nursing schools when I first applied. I was so lost but I did not want to give up, I decided to go back to school and retake my prereqs so my grades are higher and reapplied. Second time around I got accepted into a accelerated BSN program! It was the most intense, stressful, and nerve wrecking 15 months of my life but it was worth it. I met the most wonderful people and gain some life long friends, learned so much about what it takes to be a nurse. Now I work as a nurse in my dream hospital, what makes an amazing nurse is being resilient, and you are resilient girl! I am so proud of you, don't give up, stay organized, you got this!

Kiara, I had this exact same experience applying to PhD programs. I got rejected from every program I applied to, and last minute applied to one more and had basically lost all hope and was making plans for a gap year. And then I got in. And somehow it seemed to all work out for the best.

I was emotional through this whole thing. I applied to 6 grad schools this past year. I was lucky to get the first feed back to be a yes, but everyone after that was a rejection. It’s very discouraging to be rejected because I always wanted to know why. Was it my grades, my essay I don’t know. I didn’t get a another yes until the last school I heard from, and that school was my number 2 school. I was ecstatic! I am proud that you got into nursing school! I know how hard it is because I’ve had several friends try to get in, didn’t get in and give up. You were already ready to try again. Ready to get up again and go for it.

So so proud of you! I applied to 10 schools, got rejected by 8 and waitlisted by 2. I was waitlisted by my dream school/program CSULB for a couple of months until they let me in! It’s a tough journey but you did it! and you’re going to continue to do it :)

I failed my nursing program twice but was able to come back this year because of Covid. Never give up! I was devastated when I had failed, but I was more than determined to succeed and prove people that doubted me wrong. I am a phlebotomist now, while going to nursing school. Failing takes everything out of you; believe me. I cried but I kept telling myself over and over that because I want to be a nurse so bad, I am doing everything I can to do better. I failed the first time with a D from an F (dismissed but allowed to take final). Second attempt for the same semester got a B and then the semester I repeated this year, I passed with a B (midterm was a D) from last year of getting a C- from a F. I’m so glad that you were able to get back into your nursing school. Hard work pays off as well as pure determination. Good luck to you! I believe in you! You’ll be a great nurse! 👩🏼⚕️I had went from failing to now being a senior in my program doing better than I did before. I want to mention too that I found some success books on Amazon for nursing were extremely helpful for my semesters because they asked a lot of practice questions. Good luck! 👩🏼⚕️

When I completed my CNA course and took the exam, I was so nervous. I passed with flying colors and thought to myself "Nursing school will come next". little did I know, I'd go through a battle with deciding on whether or not to go purely based on fear of failure. 3 and a half years later, I am now registering for pre-nursing and starting the journey I was afraid to take. You have inspired me to keep trying even when I don't want to.

I was so emotional watching this video! lol I applied to nursing school 3 times, on the 3rd time I was put on a waiting list. 2 days before nursing school started someone dropped out and I got in!!!!! I cried like a baby - I started nursing school and I failed my first exam - i cried like a baby. COVID hit the 2nd year of nursing school - i cried like a baby. I graduated - I cried like a baby. I took the NCLEX in March 2021 and I failed it - I cried like a baby. Retook the NCLEX in May 2021 and I PASSED!!!! i cried like a baby. My point is - I cried so much during the entire process, tears of stress, anxiety, fear, happiness, excitement, etc. I now have my dream job as an OR nurse and I don't regret anything and I love my job and Im so grateful I stuck it out and didn't give up. I am excited for you even though I dont know you because I've been where you are and I just want to encourage you to stay positive and never give up!!!
Seeing this and how vulnerable you were about the whole process gives me some hope for my future in applying to graduate school and to remember things will work themselves out for the better

It’s often said that nurses are angels in blue. Someone who does the job long hours bearing so much emotional pain and stress so patients don’t have to. Such an emotional genuine reaction to your acceptance proves that you are meant to be one of those angels. I wish you nothing but luck and open doors.

This is what I needed! I have been a nurse for 7 years now and remember when I got my acceptance letter! That was the best feeling. I went on to work in my dream job as a labor and delivery nurse. I applied to 3 schools to get my FNP masters and got rejected from 2. The last school I applied to was a Hail Mary but I ended up getting in at the last minute. I have one more semester left. I have had to retake classes and have failed along the way but seeing your video reminded me that having such great support helps with picking yourself up and brushing yourself off and motivates us to be better than before! You will get there! Reminding yourself of the journey it takes to get there is a humbling feeling. This. This moment of when you find out your whole world is going to change and your dreams are manifesting is the best way to pull yourself through those hard times! Good luck girly! You’ve got this!

I can't tell you how many times I have watched this video but I still cry every time. I got into veterinary medicine university last august and your video kept me motivated that I can do it, that I can get in. I feel like I can really relate to you in that video and I loooove rewatching it. In general, your videos are sooo motivating!!! TBH I rewatch this video too when I feel discouraged and I am so blessed that this wild journey lead me to where I am because it has truly shaped who I am as a nurse today.
