Swarsamrat Khan Sahib is a musician's musician, siddha in sur, taal, laya and above all expression of rasa....my soul cries out in joy and in pain of losing him 😊at the same time......his music leads us to the source of infinite light and energy. My pranams ❤
As an additional comment, I have heard one recording where Khansahib breaks a string in the middle of the performance. At that very moment, of course, he must stop and install a new string. Without so much as losing a beat, Sri Swapan improvises a wonderful solo during which time Khansahib puts the new string on, stretches and tunes it. Then he resumes playing as before. To this the crowd responds, and rightfully so, with a gentle applause of admiration. Nothing but joy on stage when these gentlemen begin to play.
It is the most wonderful Jhinjhoti ever heard by me, perfectly in Swar, Laya & Taal. Bewitching in melodic contents. It has great depth. The musician' musical Truth comes to the listeners most spontaneously. K M Tiwari, Alld.
Mesmerising music with caressing notes in the melodious rag - Jhinjhoti that is unique and will perhaps not be listened to from any other Sarod player.
I love this recording, recorded in Alberta Canada if I'm not mistaken. Young musicians would be well served to listen to this. Lots of virtuosity but not at the expense of soul. These great musicians make it look so easy..as it should be!
I love the way Khansaheb contemplates his next variation. He said to me once that he is very careful about portraying the Raag correctly, I see that care in every stroke.
Magnificent performance...both gentlemen and the accompanists as well have transcended both time and space with this performance. The second half of the program, available in another video, is equally wonderful. I wonder if anybody was recording this with proper audio equipment (as opposed to videotape only)?? What a wonderful CD release this would make!
Sarod ka Saaz bohot mushkil hai. Ali Akbar Khansahab ne saaz kitne behtareen Sur me milaya hai yani tune kiya hai. His playing also is incredible and unique. TRIBUTES.
This is the Third class music sir. Although it is very beautiful and incomparable to anyone else but What God has the artist can't compare to that type of compositions. I didn't hear but i know 2 to 3 stories about Sufi Saints artists .....
Truly, Indian classical music has a divine touch that sets human mind at rest and gives a blissful experience. Only, you must have a keen desire to be one with it. Subhash Ramchandra Sonawane Kothrud, Pune S.Subhash Kpmi on facebook

There are more worlds beyond these stars of the sky Sir.....
And there is no one Beyond God. ❤
A superb rendition. Moved to tears--pure joy !! Shri Ravi Shankar has also played a marvellous Jhinjhoti--search for it on youtube.
So much rasa, I'm spellbound.......
