I usually rock a mid or a high taper when I'm wearing braids. I been growing my hair for years but back then I would taper the sides and front and eventually my hair just got long enough to braid. I started getting front tapers with my curly fro , then I rocked it for braids, but then I noticed it getting wider so i ended up growing it out and now I have a small front taper. I don't really think it matters the size of the side and back tapers as long its not too high obviously, because there are people out there who've rocked the curly fro with the high taper like myself before transitioning to braids. I think this video is just for people who are growing their hair from scratch to braids. The high taper still looks clean if you have braids. I think the main thing is too not ruin your front taper because it can get too wide and will end up looking dumb. I have hang time so back taper isn't really an issue.
Oh I see I have high top but I decided to grow out my back taper, so I’m probably get low drop fade or mid drop fade

When my hair was long enough for twists, that’s when I parted out my tapered hairline. When I started off with a fro my taper was low but I grew it out to part it off when my hair was long enough so that I would have the perfect amount. Same for the back
I recently buzzed my head and I’m going to grow it all out with no line ups or tapers. Only line ups I’m doing is my facial hair. Send blessings because I’m gone be looking ROUGH in some phases.

Speaking facts. I got 12 thick box braids that are pass my shoulders w/ a small front taper similar to yours but smaller. My front taper is so small it's barely noticeble so all i do is put the guard on, trim down the front & shape up my corners. The tension on the hairline be crazy if your line not starting at the middle of your forehead lol.

2cm? That like a little below and inch not bad. Don't cut it just grow your hair some then combine that with the rest so it looks like a section
it depends how long the rest of your hair is. Id say get two strand twist and just let the front taper grow a bit, itll be rough but its winter time so the durags, scarf and caps that people with dreads wear can keep you straight while its growing

You can still get a front taper but you’ll have to cut some of the dreads that are at the front

Question so I'm growing my hair out I had to cut it because I had bad dandruff and flakes it's a lot better now but now that it's back at the same length it was before it still gets a little itchy what do I think I'm doing wrong or not doing enough
U need done selsum blue it’s for dandruff it’s Medicaid works great then use whatever conditioner and get some good oils
Try oiling your scalp regularly at least 3 times a week if you haven’t
Also deep conditioning is key make sure you doing that

King Bril, I have a high top and I’ve grown out the top for a year, I want it to look fuller and have the the back longer than the front. Should I just grow out the back to catch up to the top or just cut it all off and restart
