I know I forgot to mention the game is also on Switch in the narration, but it is! So will you be checking out Raji? Thanks for watching! Consider becoming an IDOI member today. Help us bring a voice to the voiceless ones in gaming.
now heard of it via an advertisement for the enhanced version - being as i respect independent game design, aim to write a story about a video game literally - I'll wait for that version before settling on a purchase.
The game is good but they should provide the option where one could use all the weapons as they please from the starting after completing the game and checkpoint feature for manual save as well.
Nice review for a game that I wanted to check ! However I just have to mentioned that you said "the combat system is not as responsive as I would I've liked" 4 times in a 5 minutes review, it's way too much haha ! Really not a big deal obviously but I feel like I had to say just be careful about that when writing/editing. Anyway, keep up the good work !
@@IDreamofIndie That's an interesting behind the scenes look at your reviews. Is it unscripted so that you can more freely talk about the points that impressed you the most, or to prevent it sounding like every other reviewer out there?
A little bit of both Mac! People really seem to enjoy this approach. We can say what we want and it comes from the heart. The flip side to that is it's a little more "indie" which fits the vibe of our channel. It helps us to stand out, and honestly we find reading a script boring.
I remember playing this during the Xbox Indie Summer Game Festival thingie Microsoft did and thinking about the classic God of War games too, only being super disappointed that it has a bird's eye camera like a dumb isometric looter/dungeon crawly/hack-and-slasher instead of framing the action better for the character based combat a la those games or something like Bayonetta. Really get in there and show off the combat and environments instead of framing everything to look like a miniatures in a toyset. I dunno, I personally think it looks blander than it should, when it should look more dynamic like those games, which is unfortunate. I love the unique premise that shows off Indian myths other games don't, and there's obviously tons of love poured into this - after all, their initial Kickstarter campaign did fail but they pushed through anyway and that's great! I love it when that happens*. I did enjoy the demo a bit, just not quite as much as I was hoping, but now I know the finished game is quality so I think I'll pick up eventually later on :) * - have you considered/been approached by indie games on Kickstarter to show off demos of games with ongoing campaigns, btw? A sort of Kickstarter roundup feature where you just show off trailers for games with campaigns going on occasionally, I feel, would be in line with the "giving a voice to the voiceless" motto of your channel, it would illustrate to people just how many games nowadays actually come from developers using crowdfunding, and you'd also get to come back in with your reviews later on of games that made it; be able to compare & contrast or what-have-you. Might be interesting, y'know? Plus you'd get to show off tons of promising stuff :D
This is a really nice idea actually. We will certainly consider something like that, maybe even in the weekly recap that we do. Thanks for all the support and feedback as always it really does help and I promise we listen!
Such a great game for such a poor ending. So much goes into a game to have this kind of ending. For me everything was good until the last stage and conclusion 😔

Unresponsive is a understatement, she takes lunch break after every button input .
Never heard of this game b4, it looks stunning, gonna get it when I can, thanks for the review
So glad that we could help you discover it !

I'm playing on steam deck at 800p max no ray tracing and never got below 45 fps. It's on sale for $6 this week.

Indie games are made with so much love and care compared to AAA experiences, don't get me wrong I still like AAA but indie has grown alot.
I hate the screen shake on every enemy hit. Can it be turned off?
Great review!
This game was a positive surprise - nice Hindu setting.
