In this video, I speak about some of the resume trends I see going on. These things have been around but are happening a lot right now.
The first issue is how you can help someone write a resume when looking for a career change.
First, they must be qualified for that new job and demonstrate they have the necessary skills and experience. If not, they will have to do something else as a stepping stone.
The second trend I am seeing with career coaches is how to help their clients write a LinkedIn profile that speaks to 2 different audiences.
Watch this video to learn how to connect the dots with a resume and LinkedIn profile and tell relevant stories when making a career change.

fully agree that the most important part of the resume is how we describe what we did and who we are... the coherence and consistency of what we say... is the most difficult thing to achieve when you write your profile and put together your resume

Yes! This is where most of the effort needs to go - figuring out what is most important to the audience and writing stories about our work demonstrating those skills and results.

@@CareerThoughtLeaders Great that I bumped into your channel on the subject of career change. I like the LinkedIn summary example you provided and want to draw some inspiration from that, but I'm a little not clear. You mean the person started as financial advisor, moved to become an apartment manager, and and finally project manager?
I have similar challenge of speaking to 2 audiences: Workplace Services Coordinator and Community Health.
