This content is so helpful for me to write my CV. Thank you very much. By the way, I would love to see more about the difference between good and bad CV as well. If you can share it that will be good! Thank you
It is a definitely great video for freshly graduates but also for anyone who wants to improve their CV. I worked in the banking sector for over 14 years and indeed the recruiter looks for some results in your CV. I like your CAR formula, it's really understandable. Great tips! 💖
Hello Claudia. Thanks for this video. I've been a huge fan of your content lately, especially the education/career ones. You summarise all the important points so well, and what makes them even more significant is the fact that the information is coming from a person who has experienced the same, so it becomes easy to trust the source which is not the scenario in case of many other available videos. Can't wait for more such videos to follow! Keep up the good work.✨
This information is so important as I make my CV by myself. I never like paying for someone to pay for my CV, they might be stress-free and time savings but they don’t represent my personality
Hi Clouds, your video answered so many questions I had, especially the one '' I enhanced my communication skills by doing xyz'', so classic lol Thanks, and keep it up
That’s so helpful! Currently it’s so hard to find a good job and person should have perfect cv in every sphere. Thank you so much for nice recommendations 💫
You broke this down into so many actionable points which is so helpful as there really is only one chance to make a great first impression! Love the "CAR" breakdown - so helpful. Will keep everything in mind when putting together a CV.
Hi, thanks for the video. If I'm looking to apply for my first finance internship and have no prior experience in the area should I include work experience of jobs I have had in sales and hospitality?
This was so insightful Claudia! Thank you so much!! Can you please do a video on whether doing a Masters versus a Double Degree is better? And what are employer's preference, a masters or double degree is better? Would appreciate it very much x
One Question: I apply for an associate position. Yet, I have three degrees and already five years of fulltime experience in different institutions: from research to consulting. E.g. when I worked in M&A I did not only calculated DCF valuations, but also Multiples, Sum of Parts, ... did Impairment tests, worked also on an optimal financing structure for mergers... I try to make it short and simple, using only few words per bullet point. But I still got two pages.
Note: probably should have first mentioned you were a recruiter in the title not at the end. The title got cut only saw after clicking on video. This would’ve helped your video substantially Try: Recruiter tells you how to make a CV (investment banking Ed) P.s only a recommendation 😊
Thanks for the video with full of useful knowledge! What about volunteering experience? Should we point out in our CV? Most of my volunteering experiences are related to the areas that do not match financial roles (volunteering in competitions, sport events, public affairs). It will be very beneficial for me. Thanks in advance.
Hey .this is a great video .I am actually incoming masters student of Queen mary University for sept 2021 intake . It would be great if you could provide some information on how to find out internships for investment banking or financial analyst in London . Keep going 🤗 ..Lots of love from India .
Thank you so much for this video😭❤️ I am going to apply for IB and consulting summer internships. So this was incredibly useful. I have one question. Due to the lockdown I did not take first year exams, so I don’t have a predicted grade. Is it okay to just write my course and my uni in the education section, or do I have to write down a predicted grade along side it. Thank you x
Great video! Getting insider knowledge on recruitment is really helpful! 🙂 Please may I ask what "client portfolio" means? Are you basically saying that you managed your own clients or that you managed some client software like salesforce? Also POS opportunity means the opportunity to make a sales?
Hi, I have an imperative question. When we write - I assisted my senior consultant to achieve 1 client deal and increased the company's revenue by $150k. How can I explain these statistics when being asked by the interviewer? Since an intern does not have access to all those inside information.
14:26 how can I learn to write like this? I'm not in finance but want to get into it and the only buzzwords I know, that I can put in my CV are Profit, P&L Management and Compliance. Would you say I just need to read financial papers like FT? I just don't think this will be quick enough...
Hey, thank you so much for your video really great content. Do you think it is necessary to have a personal profile or like a career objectives section? Thank you in advance
Hello Mike, thank you! I'd say it depends on the current state of your CV - if you already have sufficient work experience to sell yourself I'd say its unnecessary. If there isn't a lot to write about, a personal profile can be a good way to fill up the CV and still provide value
@@cloudsjoo Thanks for your fast answer. Hey I am really stressed out about my CV, I have quite limited experience in the field I want to apply to and this makes me quite anxious. Would you mind reviewing my CV and maybe helping me with some edits. I will be willing to pay a fee for you service. Thanks in advance
What do you think about age discrimination when applying to investment banking do you know about that can you be 35 and apply to a analyst role or be 40 and enroll to an associate role. Do you think it would be fair to give a younger person a job and not the older one just based on their age because if the younger man and the older one have identical resumes but the older one has a better one can the older candidate get the job

Best of luck!

Hello Adeline! I can definitely do some research and answer this question in a future video 😊
You are a boss woman! 💪🏼❤️
Thank you! 😊

Hi I am masters student graduating this year and I not sure how to build my cv with no internship
Should there be a skills profile at the very beginning on top of education?

It would have been good to see an example......

what if its a impressive CV but it comes with a photo - would it be rejected on the basis of inclusion of a photo? lol
Thanks soo much can't wait for more content like this
