and the stars look very different today...
Cuz one of them is missing
Sorry this came 4 years late but I needed to say that after reading your comment
@@peelslowly28 he’s a Blackstar now
Wooooow
David goes to heaven
Ziggy goes to space
a legend goes to our hearts
The Thin White Duke goes to the other station
Cringe Ahead 2.0 that is a really good one.
And Major Tom...well he's still a junkie
There's a star man, waiting in the sky. He'd like to come and meet us, but he's afraid he'd blow our minds.
Rest in peace David Bowie, Musical genius.
♡♡♡♡♡
His death was not a waste though. He accomplished a lot in his life. I wish he could be with us for as long as possible. It's a shame to have lost one of the most amazing artists of human history.
I believe he died happy, knowing his family and fans would be by his side, forever.
Yes, agreed. We were blessed to have him during our lifetime and experience his gift, his genius. A true original, a legend, an icon, a bright star in the cosmos to shine on above.
I was crying and laughing at the same time such a lovely tribute
same
+Untold News Are you fucking kidding me?
+Untold News yeah fuck you advertising your channel this is a tribute to a deceased legend fuck you
+4za Agreed: _SO_ disrespectful to a musical icon. Total disrespect. Double fuck that shameless dolt that just posted, no bullshit.
same!
I was only 13 when he died. Whilst I'd heard his name and knew the mark he left on people, I wasn't properly aware of just how much of a massive impact he had on the music industry as a whole, and I wasn't really that familiar with him either (which was probably a generational thing because most of my family already loved him) - in terms of music or acting. Since then, I've become a huge fan of the guy. He is a legend! Love you and miss you, David Bowie!! Hope you're doing well up there. When I go to heaven, I hope I will get to meet you.
I feel the same way, but I was 15 when I heard he died.
SAME!
I was only 54 when he died.
It's already been over five years.
Thank you, David Bowie.
7 now… :/
Sad to see him go. We may never know who may be suffering from cancer or other diseases at this very moment just like Bowie did but didn't tell anyone, we should appreciate those who are with us now before they leave us
+Ian Leo Well said Ian....C:
so true
+Ian Leo Donyou ever wear pajamas in public.
Amen to that
Like Alan Rickman who just passed away :(
R.I.P Jareth, King of the Goblins
officialmer i've had two dogs named after The Labyrinth. Toby and Ludo
+officialmer that's crazy me too. Jump magic is the boooomb. Or w e it's actually called. That's the best part. Oh and the door knocker guys.
+PlumpCh1cken Millions care. Why be deliberately nasty, have some respect.
absolute best comment about bowtie I've seen yet, hats off friend.
omg i just dreamed about Jareth after those news.. i feel really sad abou it rip prince
Young people...embrace your heroes while you can. Love each other no matter how hard that may seem. Life is such a precious gift. I'm 52 now and watching some of my influences leaving us. Chris Squire and now David Bowie. My God, I can still remember sitting in Richie Bruno's garage with a black light and incense burning and us unwrapping The Spiders from Mars album. The smell of that album. The smell of the fresh vinyl. It was so wonderful. Fast forward to 1983 while in the military and wearing out that cassette tape in my Walkman. David was all about opening your mind and your spirit. David was such a wonderful human. Extremely talented. David was Real. As real as real can ever be. Fair winds Major Tom. I've always been with you. Jimmy...that was perfect.
Sad to say I had no idea who he was before yesterday. Started listening to his music yesterday and I can't stop. R.I.P Ziggy. Wish I knew you sooner.
Oh, you've alot of music to discover then - and i'm not necessarily talking about his music, but his influences, contemporaries...
Goddamn same here. I knew who he was but was never a fan. Since yesterday, Starman is one of my favorite songs of all time! RIP David Bowie
+Nebeyou Yonas wow. You're in for a treat. x
+Nebeyou Yonas i feel that music in the 70s and 80s are everlasting
+Arjun Chandrasekhar Wow, so you are suddenly a fan now, just because he died? So that's what you gotta do these days...
Two days later, Alan Rickman...
2016 didn't start well.
CharLiix31 10 days later it was my Mom
veronikah K I'm sorry
try 2020 .
It ended worse
Then Prince a couple months later
Aww he looked like he was actually going to burst into tears.
Few people come amongst us who make a difference and leave their mark.Thank you David Bowie.
i laughed and cried at the same time.
damn... that was painful. Bowie would appreciate the email joke, I did too.
Over 3 months later and I still can't watch this without crying
RIP David Bowie we still miss you so much😰😢😥😔😭
You said it, Pierre Jackson. .miss him very much.........
True, we just watched a clip of David doing the "thank you notes" thing last week. I can't believe it. Ty Jimmy and ty David for everything.
Jimmy can make me cry and laugh at the same time.💜💜Rip David
He nailed it. Perfect tribute. RIP to the sexiest Goblin King there ever was.
Legends don't die
Damn it, I'm crying again. His passing has been very difficult to process. Incredible human being. Rest peacefully.
A Brilliant New Star in the Sky now, Thank you , David for so many many wonders!
This is the most real I've ever seen Fallon. Just goes to show how far Bowie's influence reached and how much he meant to so many people.
journey well Starman 💖
Awwww Jimmyyyyyyy, dont cry :(
+Hunter Freeman fuck off with your lame jokes this isn't even funny anymore
OH MY GOD YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS (IN THE HOOD) (GONE WRONG) (GUN PULLED) (GONE SEXUAL) (SHOTS FIRED) nah jks
+Hunter Freeman your not funny at all you making jokes like that is stupid this not funny
It's not funny dude Jimmy looked like he was gonna cry
Kaitlynn Stevens both late night jimmys cry at the drop of a hat. They are as fake as they come. Fuck Fallon. No talent hack that even fellow comedians can't stand.
Rest in Peace David Bowie. You hero!
R.I.P. is too boring for Ziggy Stardust
+Tj Finley I agree in a sense though sadly, this is a fitting tribute from a fellow fan/fellow of his. After all, that is not many words in the western-Germanic language that is English to convey a lot of the times, super sadly with all due respect, even to those that we love & respect the most :( I do agree that for such an icon it feels like we should all have oh so much more to say though, so I do indeed know what you're trying to convey now...
+Tj Finley not too boring, he's still rocking, Rocking in Paradise. 🙏
+Saeyka N Beaucoup mieux!
How about "with all the crap we have had in the world, thank god for a time we had David Bowie"
+TropikalWaves
You clearly don't see the value music and arts play in the cultural advancements of relevant human and civil rights. Bowie was attributed to the advancement in demolishing the Berlin Wall, an achievement very few artists could ascertain by any standards.
Bowie for ever!💙💫💫⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
After I heard about his death I started to listen to his songs and how amazing he was. Man it's sad to see him go. I was very sad after Iwata passed away too
This is the best comment section ever... It would normally be crawling with people saying "Why you making jokes for" but atleast people here could see that Jimmy was struggling to break a smile.. He seemed genuinly really upset... so the joke kind of fit in with David and Jimmys connection... I'm not going to say I was a massive fan because I literally know nothing about David but he's human so R.I.P brother.
David Bowie is in a much better place now. No more pain and suffering. He had a remarkable life and left behind the greatest gift of all his music. I believe that we evolve spiritually and that Bowie has ascended to that next level. I believe he already had obtained that level here on earth. RIP
still in disbelief David Bowie has passed away. what an incredible generous creator of music.
Ziggy played guitar (he always will). Thank you, David. Respect and love forever.
One of the few times Jimmy Fallon seems genuine. Appreciated.
R.I.P. David Bowie, thank you for the music that will live on forever. Davis said a prair at the Tribute to Freddie Mercury, an impresseve moment almost 24 years ago in april 1992, now those 2 legends are both in heaven and will sing there. I hope we can hear them in our dreams....... The music is alive....... xxx
I'm still mourning, too many great brits at once first Lemmy, then Bowie & Rickman in the same week same thing same age. Mad love & respect to all of them and their families & close friends during this time.
Fallon was moved, you can tell. I get teary watching. Enjoy the Cosmos, David.
He knew he was dying and he he knew hes going to die and instead of resting and relaxing.. He gave us just one more album. Thank you David Bowie, you will be remembered for your creativity, humor and you never failed to amaze. Rest In Peace.
+Robbie Hawxby Where the hell did you get that idea?
It just seems that way. Do you know what i mean? It seems like thats what he wanted to do before he died
Remember growing up with his music due to my parents loving him. Damn...
We'll never forget you, Bowie.
I love him forever, thank you David
+Persona glad to know you have insight into everyone's feelings and mind
+Persona He's one of the most influential artists of all time.
can fallon ever have a genuine moment
+zhbroder Obviously not, it's sad that most people here are too dumb and shallow to realize his cheap "speech"
courtney Hakim Don't be a fool. Every time he cackles and slaps his leg is legit too? lol Guy is a fake and worse than that his brand of comedy is plain stupid.
courtney Hakim Course he don't but I can still give my opinion on him can't i?
courtney Hakim Well, technically I said 'don't be a fool' which isn't saying you are one. But, I'll apologize for the insinuation.
You can tell how genuinely sad jimmy is. RIP
Thank YOU Jimmy for such a heartfelt tribute! Almost brought me to tears in the middle of work.
Tearing up watching this. Definitely watching the tribute to him Fallon and O'Brian have done.
R.I.P the man who fell to earth
fun, fitting tribute :) Rest in Rock, David
I couldn’t even leave the house for a week when he died. I’m like a mega fan, have been since I was 13. I’m 42 now. I saw him three times in concert, he touched my hand the last time I saw him in 2004. I will always adore him.
It took a while for me to watch some tributes for David. But i have to say, that is the first time Jimmy pays some real respect to someone. It's his job to make jokes but he was respectfull here.
Still miss you David
He's holding back the tears...
Amy Winehouse,Jimmy Hendrix,Janis Joplin all died at age 27.Thus we have the '27 club'. David Bowie, Alan Rickman ,et.al. are similarly members of the '69 club'.
69 club sounds pretty epic ngl ;)
Nice!
Nice
So sweet Jimmy... Brought tears to my eyes, how sad a loss this is..
Damn, Jimmy. That was rad. Many people talk about how much they'll miss him and what a tragedy it is. But you've summed it all up there; he was a mad genius. He contributed a lot to the world, and we get to honour him for all time by listening to his creative works. It was wonderful to have him with us, but now Bowie's in space.
Jimmy Fallon is the most genuine tv host...
CJ Fuentes l
CJ Fuentes in what fucking universe
Hunter Burrill I second that. He's as lame as they get.
I agree man.
The only man who has made me laugh since Bowie's death. Such a great way to say farewell to the Starman. R.I.P David, Bromley boy forever.
David Bowie was an awesome artist. He said goodbye the best way possible. ❤🎶
For once, Jimmy Fallon was being real! Good to See!!
this was really nice of jimmy to do this! it just goes to show how awesome and lovable david bowie was! you will be missed david bowie.
You're a wonderful person, Jimmy ❤️

Thank you many times over David Bowie. ...you are missed....long live the Thin White Duke.
I just started crying watching that 😪
It's great Bowie left us with such a perfect artefact in Blackstar.
just another heart felt goodbye for a man who was obviously loved very much by many. Thank you too Jimmy.
The death of David break my heart...
Me too, I can't get over it or stop thinking about it! Makes you think about life too. You can have this magnificent life, and then one day boom... no more. 😯

I was born on his birthday. I have always loved David Bowie. Planet earth is blue and there is nothing I can do. Fly high Ziggy Stardust.

Rest in peace David you are a legend and will always be remembered
Ziggy Stardust forever
He was a big loss to the art and entertainment world. Will be missed for many years to come.
Never listened to his music, but my friends have and he seemed like a very talented person.
Awe Jimmy
rip David bowie you were everything to me your music and movies got me though alot thank you
Bowie will never truly die. He may not be alive anymore, but you can see from the way he inspired people and changed them for the better that he will forever be with us.
Thank you for blowing our minds you beautiful starman
Happy 70th Birthday, David Bowie
Still can't believe he's gone I sometimes forget he's gone and when I remember he's gone I become sad again.
Thanks Jimmy Fallon for this heart felt tribute to David Bowie. I was watching E! News the other day waiting for a decent tribute to the man, like they did when Michael Jackson and Robin Williams passed. But all they bothered to do was a rushed report lasting maybe a couple of minutes at the most, and then passing on it for a video bit about the bloody cleavage of Hollywood starlets...disgraceful!!
+David Datura Me and my dad saw that to, we were pretty pissed.
+Papa lwA Yeah, I'm sure Bowie would have preferred you over Jimmy, since you seem to be such a good guy.
+Baychimo yeah, what passes
for comedy these days... is 'nice'. Ew
no, bowie was at the least classy at his most- too dignified for
this pathetic laugh at my own non jokes business.
David is not dead....He just went home.Godspeed on your new journey....I know it will be one hell of a ride.
omg nooooo
i can't believe it
R.I.P. so sad now
you are our Hero...
Jimmy Fallon loves everything and everyone damn
RIP :'(
An amazing artist to the end.
this album has to get a grammy
Oh he would love this
Jimmy is such an honourable man
Id say that was pretty well said and he even made the crowd laugh but not inappropriately.
R.I.P David Bowie, ur in Rock n Roll heaven now
